00:13I mean, that other wing isn't there.
00:15Plane at a time. It's monotonous work, examining every inch of the ocean floor.

00:22You're going to make this kind of announcement.
00:24You want to be as sure as possible.
00:26And so we needed something that told us unequivocally that this was Clipper Endeavor.
00:34And in the lead up, you know, we thought, well, we'll look for some feature that's unique to that type
00:41of aircraft, to the Douglas DC-4.
00:43Or maybe, if we're lucky, we'll get a trace of the registration number, you know, from the gear door or
00:50the tail.
00:51So, what we weren't prepared for, or really dared to dream of, was that we would see it actually spelled
01:02out for us.
01:03And that's exactly what happened.
01:06And we were able to obtain pictures of the Pan American logo and the name Clipper Endeavor on the nose
01:16of the airplane.
01:18And that made it real.
01:19I mean, we'd been looking at old black and white photographs and, you know, dozens, hundreds of times and read
01:26that name and imagined what it would be like.
01:29But there it was in full color and told us without the shadow of a doubt that we'd finally found
01:38Clipper Endeavor.
01:39Yeah.
01:40Is this the Pan Am logo?
01:42Yes.
01:42Is that the Pan Am wing?
01:43It is the wing.
01:45And the globe here.
01:47And the globe and PA.
