00:07called Black House and today we're getting a sneak peek before festival
00:10season starts. But before we get a sneak peek please subscribe below. Come follow
00:25me. It's my first time in Palm Springs and first warm winter I've ever had in my
00:32life so being able to stay at a place like this where you have an amazing view
00:35of all the palm trees, the mountains around you, and being walkable to downtown
00:40Palm Springs is just epic. Obviously booking accommodations during festival
00:44season is very difficult and can be stressful but this property is
00:48available at 760 a night during festival season and on your average night it would
00:53be around $199 a night. Black House isn't your typical property it has four
00:57buildings spanning 1655 square feet and you can rent out either one of the
01:02bedrooms or do a full buyout of all 16 bedrooms on the property. If you rent out
01:06one of the buildings you'll get access to four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and this
01:10beautiful shared living space with a full kitchen. You guys can cook meals
01:14together. Another perk of the suite is that it has an in-home washer dryer which
01:19you know at your typical hotel you never have this so it's super key to be able to
01:23feel like you're living normally and be able to wash your clothes while you're
01:26staying here. Let's go check out one of the bedrooms and where we will
01:29actually be staying. Black House is rented out a year in advance before the
01:33festival and I can definitely see why. You have this beautiful rain shower, you have a full
01:39marble sink where you can lay out all your toiletries, do a get ready with me. It is
01:44similar to a hotel in that it has a blow dryer, it has haircare products so that
01:49you have all the toiletries you need. I've been lucky enough to stay at a couple
01:53nice hotels in my life and I definitely think that this particular one is
01:56special because of the privacy that you have. Before I speak too soon let's see how
02:01comfy the bed is. Okay it's like a little firm but like maybe if I really lean into it.
02:06Okay yeah it is comfy. Fair warning this is a little deceiving. I thought this was a
02:10massive closet but it does just open up into the bathroom. However we do have a
02:16whole closet space over here. They definitely think of everything. It's nice to
02:19just have these extra things that you don't have to bring with you that you
02:22know you can count on the property to have. The space definitely really feels
02:25like home because I can unpack all my stuff organize it in these drawers. There's
02:29even a TV with Netflix so when I am you know ready to wind down at the end of the
02:33night I can just chill and watch my favorite shows. I definitely love the
02:36flow of the space to have this bedroom right off of the living room and then
02:40you get to swing over here and have a whole full other bedroom so it really
02:44makes it feel communal and that you're not kind of isolated in different parts
02:48of the building. I definitely love the floor-to-ceiling windows. I can watch the
02:53sunset over the mountains from my bedroom and really just have a relaxing
02:57moment during the crazy festival weekend. And again you can always count on this
03:02beautiful sliding door so that your bathroom looks right onto the bedroom.
03:07Let's go check out the other bedrooms. This room is a private space and has a
03:13similar layout to the other bedroom that is also private. Personally I think this is
03:18the one I'm gonna stay in because it's a little bit far away from the pool and it
03:22has a quiet peaceful vibe. Fun fact the property doesn't actually operate like a
03:28hotel it is more like a vacation rental but what's nice about that is that you
03:33have a lot of privacy for a big group and you have still these communal spaces
03:38where you can hang out and do activities. This last bedroom here is another one of
03:44the private rooms but let me know in the comments below would you rather be
03:47connected to the living room and kitchen space or have your own little corner of the
03:51building. It is also a beautiful space they give you access to a fridge and coffee maker so that you
03:57got the same little kitchen set up in here but some more privacy. And I think this
04:02right here is the key to the pool so I will be heading out there. It definitely has
04:07this effortless open-air feel. So much outdoor space all the beautiful cactuses
04:12lined up and we even have an outdoor grill right here where you can have dinner and
04:16watch the sunset. One thing that I've learned about Palm Springs is that it's
04:20super hot during the day but it gets really cold at night so it's definitely nice to
04:24have this little fire pit where you can watch the sunset and chill during the
04:28night and then when it's super hot during the day you can enjoy the pool and lounge
04:33in this beautiful pool area in front of the mountains. It's four feet deep so you
04:38really got to be careful don't hurt yourself jumping in here and it even has
04:42this nice outdoor shower to really like cool down for when it gets too hot you can
04:47open up the umbrellas. There's even a grill out here so that if you and your
04:50friends want to throw a little pool party before the festival, grill some hot dogs,
04:55burgers. I can't wait for a couple of weeks from now when Refinery29 comes back
05:01for the actual festival. For tonight I'm just gonna unwind, check out downtown Palm
05:05Springs and visit a couple restaurants and stores.
