00:22I'm the mother of a one-year-old great tabby cat named Figaro.
00:27So we have five cats. Their names are Xanadu Pluto, Fifi Bowfinkos, Brother Bear, Goblin, and Toast.
00:36Iggy is my first cat. He's a Sphinx, so he's hairless.
00:40I decided I wanted a hairless cat because I had clothes around my whole apartment because I'm a fashion stylist
00:46and didn't want cat hair getting over everything.

00:52We got Miley Cyrus to ride a giant cat.
00:55We try to always have cats in the work.
00:57As a stylist and someone that's in a creative field, he has been in a couple of my photo shoots.

01:07When Figaro and I go out to the park and I put him in my pink bike basket, I feel
01:13like a little girl.
01:15You know, you get a few looks, but I know that's because people wish that they did the same.
01:18Cat lady has dramatically changed in time to where now you can be this power lady.
01:26You just have lots of cats.
01:27I own it. I'm a cat lady. I don't care. I have no shame. I love my cat.
01:32I'm all about this lifestyle. I got the earrings, got the mugs.
01:36I don't even know what that means anymore. Like, am I a cat lady? Do I knit sweaters? No.
01:41Do I cuddle them and call them little noodles? Like, yes.
01:44I'm 24 years old, trying to figure out where I want to go in life.
01:49And what attracted me to cats is that they're self-sufficient, just like how I'm trying to be.
01:54I think the modern cat lady can do it all. I think she can be a boss at work.
02:00But I also think a cat lady can be super maternal and loving and know that when she comes home,
02:07she's going to have these cute little critters to take care of and they're going to love her back.
02:12When I got a cat, I think it really signified me growing up as an adult,
02:17having to take care of something else that wasn't me.
02:19Cat ladies get a bad rep for no reason. I'm not lonely. I'm trying to learn how to be alone.
02:26Adopting Figaro has taught me how to be comfortable by myself.

02:35I have so many other facets to myself and I think Iggy does too.
02:39I really think that subconsciously that resonates because he's so ingrained in my life
02:46and I think I see a lot of myself in him.
