00:01And on this episode, we're heading to one of my favorite LA designers, Hell's Bells.
00:06She's been doing this for 10 years now. That's pretty insane.
00:09So, let's go to the showroom, look at the new collection, and go meet her.
00:20So, this is the lovely lawn, the brains behind Hell's Bells.
00:24So, I've been to the showroom a couple of times, but you obviously haven't.
00:28So, how about we give them a little tour?
00:30Yes, come on, let's go.
00:31So, this is where a lot of the magic happens, design-wise.
00:35Everything starts out from concept to initial sketches to CAD designing,
00:39and then we just put it up on the wall, and then add or subtract, whatever.
00:44This is that wall.
00:45And then my husband's desk over there, his name is Bam.
00:48And then we just have all of our art around us, just to kind of inspire us.
00:52Here's some more collections. Oh, we did a collection with Hello Kitty.
00:55Look at that. That's amazing. I love Hello Kitty.
00:59We have this vintage military wear that me and my husband, we dug up at this warehouse.
01:04I want to do some more illustration work on the jackets, and then tailor it so it fits you and
01:11me.
01:11What is the meaning behind all this text?
01:14I mean, what we did was we did research on old letters that the former military had written to family
01:21members or whatever,
01:22and we just wrote different texts all over here.
01:26That is so amazing. How do you think of this stuff? That's insane.
01:31So I hear that there's a new collection brewing up. Can you tell me the inspiration, the backstory behind that?
01:37Yeah. We're about to drop Fall 2015, which is really exciting.
01:40And something about Hell's Bells is we always have some kind of music underlay in everything that we do.
01:46And I like to pull inspiration for music that I love, whether it be hip-hop, punk, and so forth.
01:54So for instance, we have Destiny's Child and Escape and SWV, but it's in punk-inspired typefaces.
02:02It's got the patches, and that's so punk.
02:05Yeah, it is. In a bomber silhouette. And then we have this graphic.
02:11So it's like our play on MTV, but it's Hell's TV, watch and learn.
02:16We have a lot of other pieces, but I want to definitely get you in some pieces
02:19and see how you'll be able to rock it. Oh, yeah. Okay.
02:24Let's do this. Oh, yes.
02:26And then we'll put this on top. Bad girl.
02:29Oh, this is very—I'm stepping out of the box, y'all. This is going to be good.
