00:15installing zan the hypervisor using it on my open source machine there are two ways to do the
00:25installation the first one is through the gui i have here the desktop environment for
00:34the open source machine that i'm using in the matte
00:42desktop environment you go to menu and then the application side of what appears to you
00:50you go to administration you scroll down you select just install vm type the password here
01:05and you enable it by
01:10uh click in the checkbox for these two ones the second one

01:44you go to virtualization tab you press tab to switch to the other box on the right and select
01:54install hypervisor and tools enter here space on the highlighted

02:13tab to switch to the other option i will enable zan server and zan tools let's take a look at
02:26you have also the option of navigating and switching between the different options
02:33by pressing f6 it enables it for you f7 enables kvm tool so we have
02:44probably f5 or f4 for zan server let's deselect it
02:59all right all right all right so we have f8 for zan server enables it
03:07zan tools sounds like it doesn't have any f or function key for it
03:15but for kvm server pressing f6 enables it for you f7 enables kvm tools for you let's not enable kvm

05:22menu you go to menu here if it is matte as me and then you go to system tools you
05:30scroll down to select
05:33virtual machine manager which is a front end that lets you manage the virtual machines of your zan hypervisor

05:48yes we can make virtual machines from here or we can use the command line to do it
05:55to know whether your zan hypervisor is functioning correctly you can type the command xl list
06:04so this command needs to be run in or with root privileges like this
06:14if you got something like this it means that it is functioning correctly especially this one
06:24this line make sure you have it otherwise there must there must be something wrong with your
06:31configuration of kama i prepared the virtual machine of rk os and as you can see it works
06:39the creation is very similar to the creation of any virtual machine using vert manager the interface
06:46that you see here and here this is called vert manager you can install or make any virtual machine the
06:55same way
