00:00The vast majority of the numbers that you're seeing in the arrests are really precursor
00:03arrests. These are things that we were able to do almost in a summary fashion where we would
00:07have some kind of indication of either trafficking or promoting prostitution, which is often a
00:13precursor crime, and then these turn into longer-term investigations. The crime of sex trafficking,
00:19those investigations are generally very long investigations, but in a few of the instances
00:24where we were out there, we were able to immediately intercept and arrest and charge
00:28an individual with sex trafficking. But the numbers that you were provided really is a
00:33conglomerate of various things, including people that were patronizing because we wanted to create
00:40a deterrent and let people know that we're out there also to try and tamp down on demand.
00:44Additionally, we were focusing on our known sex traffickers, people that were convicted
00:49previously of sex trafficking and might have been in our sex offender monitoring unit or on parole or
00:54probation, and we paid them a visit. We wanted to let them know that we know who you are
00:58and were watching, and some of them were found to be in non-compliance with terms of their release.
