00:00Obviously, season one's extraterrestrial twist shook viewers to our cores, and this season, the big jaw-dropping moment is that
00:07Sugar's sister, Jen, is alive.
00:09And he's hoped for this, but she's still sort of like a stranger to him.
00:13Brother.
00:14Brother.
00:15Brother.
00:16Brother.
00:19My God.
00:21My God, I've missed you so much.
00:24What impact do you think Jen and their sort of differing views will have on him going forward?
00:29The only thing that's more catastrophic in a strange way than her being missing was finding her and then realizing
00:41that she's not who she once was and that something has happened, something he doesn't understand, something he can't put
00:49his finger on.
00:50They don't get to spend enough time together.
00:51There is something nefarious at play and it terrifies him because he knows how powerful she is and he knows
00:57how bright she is and brilliant she is, but there is something changed.
01:01There's a kind of a darkness that's fallen over her that he doesn't quite understand.
01:04So the idea of how to bring them back together or what their relationship, what kind of contact they would
01:12have in future seasons if we get to explore them is really interesting to me.
01:16We wanted her to be a character that had power and agency and wasn't just a damsel in distress.
01:23We were like, well, what if she's actually has more than agency?
01:29Maybe she set up the whole thing.
01:31She's a sort of a cautionary tale for Sugar going forward, which is like what can happen when you stay
01:37too long.
01:37She has certain personality traits that Sugar doesn't necessarily have in terms of ambition and greed and all of those
01:47things that are going to make her a real problem for him going forward.
