00:05But great to talk to you off the back of this air show. I wonder, let's just start with deals
00:10among consumer oriented plane makers.
00:13What sort of what sort of things did Airbus, Boeings of the world, what sort of orders did they receive?
00:19So, Danny, the commercial aircraft orders were pretty subdued at this Farnborough air show.
00:24We saw an order for 200 narrow body aircraft from Jetless or SMBC. That was 100 Airbus planes and 100
00:32Boeing planes.
00:32We also saw smaller deals for 15 aircraft from Aircap. We saw deals from airlines like Philippines Air looking to
00:39order some more wide body aircraft.
00:41But overall, the sort of deal making for commercial aircraft was pretty subdued.
00:45And that's largely because one aircraft are very sort of backordered until the beginning of next decade.
00:53And the second sort of reason why is because airlines are still sort of watching from the sidelines to see
00:58what happens with oil prices
00:59and whether they deploy the capital towards actually sort of funding their operations rather than buying expensive jets at the
01:05moment.
01:06Forgive the cliche, but I guess it's, you know, a double sided coin.
01:10And on one hand, higher oil prices mean stress for consumer, but those higher oil prices that are happening because
01:17of geopolitical turmoil and wars
01:19and specifically a war in the Middle East. Did we see a lot of defense related deals get struck?
01:25Absolutely. I mean, we saw lots of defense related products being showcased at the show.
01:29So we saw Boeing's MQ-28 Ghostbat, which is they call it sort of a collaborative combat aircraft.
01:37Essentially, it's an autonomous drone that accompanies stealth fighters.
01:41We also saw Anduril showing off their tiltrotor combative aircraft, which is basically a drone that can accompany attack helicopters.
01:50So we did see a lot of deals on the defense side. We saw a lot of technology being showcased.
01:57Autonomous drones were a big highlight of the show and also the conventional fighter jets.
