00:00So does this basically remove off the table for a buyer for M&A to happen. Is it all just
00:04the U.S. government involved now. At the moment there's multiple options. I mean obviously this is one of the
00:10options that's available to spirit but it does seem to be the best lifeline for the airline if the government
00:14actually gets involved and offers them some 500 million dollars in exchange for equity.
00:19And it also sort of put off other other suitors like we previously heard that spirit was in talks with
00:26Frontier Airlines. Remember the JetBlue deal was scuttled. So there's been lots of action for spirit and this is the
00:34sort of latest in development in that story.
00:37And this could be the potential sort of help that they could get. Just quickly Sid. I mean it also
00:43seems that deals are being floated and batted down.
00:45United American. Very concretely it seems that the Trump administration is not happy with the idea. Neither is American. Yes.
00:52American Airlines said that they're not interested in a deal and would be anti-competitive.
00:56But Scott Kirby has talked about his ambition to make it the U.S. carrier United Airlines a very competitive
01:03airline internationally. And he sort of talked about how there needs to be an airline that can compete with the
01:08Middle Eastern carriers and others who have much larger
01:11like financial backers like financial backers. And so Scott Kirby is entertaining the idea of creating this mega airline in
01:17the U.S.
01:18And he did talk about the fact that they have sort of reached out to suitors about potential assets. So
01:24it still remains to be seen. Lots of action happening in the airline front.
01:27There's lots happening on just how the aliens sort of navigate this turmoil as well as navigate expanding under this
01:34administration that's business friendly.
01:35There's plenty.
01:35There's lots happening.
