00:00Hi, I'm Zoe Fox. I'm a town councillor in Campbell, the former mayor of Campbell, and we're here today to
00:07present a motion of no confidence to Cornwall Council.
00:11There's been a campaign, Dower Glam, that has had cross-party support from 59 local town and parish councils, representing
00:20over 50% of the Cornish population, and we have had enough of southwest water.
00:25We're going to call on the government to take it into special administration because of the appalling service and profiteering
00:33that we've been experiencing.
00:35The campaign was initiated by maybe on Curnow, supported by the Greens, but it has been supported by councillors of
00:42every party across the board, and the majority of the Cornish population are saying we've had enough of sewage pollution,
00:50running in our streets, polluting our rivers, impacting our bathing waters.
00:55causing diseases and pollution. We've had enough. We're here to bring this motion today of no confidence.
01:04We expect to be supported by Cornwall Council, and we're looking forward to seeing MPs here as well today.
