Philippines rejects ASEAN Myanmar engagement criticism, reiterates Five-Point Consensus

The Philippines has rejected criticism of the Association of Southeast Asian Nation's (ASEAN) engagement with Myanmar's military-backed government which represented a break from the regional bloc's peace efforts, and insisted that its strategy is still firmly rooted within ASEAN's Five-Point Concensus (5PC).
