00:02Hello Pete and Tom, I'm Alan Winchester. Today we're going to be tasting the Glenlivet Code.
00:07With the Glenlivet Code we don't give you any clues. Many of the characters that are in the
00:13Glenlivet are in front of us here. So as we know it's the spirit, can you smell the toffee, caramels,
00:21the dark chocolate? Well that's strong isn't it? You can smell toffee maybe? Personally I get a
00:25fair bit of caramel off it. Caramel? Yeah it's just for me it's a bit lighter. So now we're
00:30going to taste the whisky. Not often you get a master distiller to bartend for you. Lovely. Can
00:35you taste characters like orange, cherry, ripe pear? I'm gonna say a bit of pear. That citrus is coming
00:42through for me. It's just got a bit more bite than pear so I think I'd roll in with orange.
00:47That's a
00:47much smarter answer than I can come up with. Can you taste raisins, nutmeg, the ginger. Tastes the
00:53ginger. Alright. For me it's all raisins. Like I was getting caramel at the beginning of
01:00the nose and I feel like that's a gradation from caramel. It's getting deeper and richer.
01:06That's right. I feel like that's the right answer. He said that's right. I think you
01:09cracked the code. I think we got a little clue. He got it. So how'd we go? I'm obviously a
01:15winner. I got
01:15it correct. Well as it could, my lips remain sealed. Speak with a Scottish accent if it was me.
01:22Okay.
01:23.
