00:15Matthias Becker, just straight up says that they're going to keep making petrol-powered
00:18Porsches into the next decade. That includes the Cayenne, and we might even see the return of the
00:23Macan. This new Cayenne electric is about as good as SUVs get in EV form, but is this what the
00:29Porsche customer is looking for? He specifically says that every Porsche model will have a petrol
00:34electric and plug-in hybrid option, which is a backtrack on where they were heading originally
00:40with a big EV strategy. So why are they doing that? If we look at the Macan sales specifically here

00:46Australia, it's the best case study is they've replaced the petrol-powered variant with an EV
00:50only option. And while sales were strong initially, they're down 60% in October and September. And to
00:55me, that says the excited early adopters of a new electric Macan have sort of come and gone.
