00:04The Mortal Kombat Legacy collection is launching in physical copies on the 12th of December and
00:10we've got an early release and we've been playing this thing and reliving some memories in the
00:15office with some of the guys Dean and Rob today we're going to show you their favorite finishing
00:20moves. Booting up Mortal Kombat Legacy is basically plugging straight into childhood
00:24the nostalgia hits immediately. This isn't just one game it's an abundant collection we're talking
00:29the original arcade classics right up through the heavy hitters like Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
00:34and the massive Mortal Kombat trilogy. The classic fatalities are back and every bit as brutal as
00:39you remember. Sub-Zero's ice grenade is here in all its pixelated gore-tastic glory while Scorpion drops
00:44in for a very unnecessary but deeply appreciated toasty. Then there are the friendships from the
00:50likes of Johnny Cage and Raiden which first appeared in Mortal Kombat 2 and the Babalities which is still
00:55the most disrespectful non-lethal option ever coded. Pair these with animalities and suddenly remember
01:01that the 90s were a lawless time for game design. Outside of the fights the included interactive
01:05documentary is a comprehensive breakdown of the series' origin story. You get a proper behind the
01:10scenes disassembly from the original creators exploring how this whole franchise was assembled
01:15and digitized. Now for the people who really like physical objects and the memorabilia you can display on
01:20a shelf the physical deluxe edition is the one to get. Steel book lenticular print retro arcade cards
01:27opening it feels like unboxing a sealed time capsule from 1995. We're playing it on PS5 but the physical
01:33version will also be available on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. You can grab the legacy collection at all
01:38major retailers.
