33:44That is this team's calling card.

33:55That's the action that the fever need to produce more of.

35:13The thing about Kelsey Mitchell's shot is she does jump a little bit forward on her three.
35:18So you see that she's behind the three and then lands a step inside.
35:23So it makes it harder on the reckless closeout for that to be called
35:26because, again, obviously she jumps forward on the shot.
35:28Clearly makes contact with the left foot of Mitchell.
35:34And this is an important stretch here for Indiana.
35:36New York is really starting to run away with this game.
35:38They built a 13-point lead.
35:40Hull hits the three.
35:41The Liberty turned it over on the three-second violation.
35:44And now here's a chance to get even more points at the free-throw line.
35:50And we're looking at that left foot of Kelsey Mitchell that landed just on the heel of Astier.
35:58Bigger picture, Ice, these two teams have so much talent.
36:01And coming into the season, people penciled them in to make a finals run.
36:05You look at all the returning talent for the Liberty and some of their offseason acquisitions with Saboli.
36:10For Indiana, of course, they made it to the doorstep of the finals without Kaitlin Clark last year.
36:15But they've had to deal with injuries and also the timing of those injuries this season.
36:20Both coaches, you got the sense.
36:22We can play so much better.
36:23We can find such a better rhythm.
36:25And with the league being so talented and top-heavy right now with teams playing well, this is an important
36:31game for both teams.
36:32I thought that was a really thoughtful note that Brianna Stewart told us just about how basically anybody can be
36:39beat on any given day.
36:40And there are a ton of teams that are still figuring it out.
36:42And talk about for the Fever, just a lot of chemistry that they returned from last season.
36:48Wanting to build on that.
36:50But Steph White feels like it's the defense right now that is the focus for this team.
36:54That is the area that they want to clean up.
36:55That is the area that she wants the most sense of urgency to go to is how the Fever can
37:01defend.
37:01Because we know that they can score.
37:03And I think on the other side for New York, I believe what we're seeing is just a first-time
37:07head coach in the W that went into a team that had so much veteran experience, so much leadership.
37:13A nucleus that won a championship a couple of years ago.
37:16But trying to figure it out.
37:18Trying to put in a new system and figure out what works for the roster that Chris DiMarco has.
37:23The officials are taking some time to look at this.
37:26It's pretty clear that Astier makes contact with the left foot of Mitchell.
37:31But I wonder if they're judging, does Mitchell kick it forward or not?
37:33Right.
37:34Upon review, Astier closes out from a distance.
37:38And she does not allow Mitchell to land safely.
37:40The play has been upgraded to a flagrant foul.

37:51You could possibly get five or six points on this trip down the court and cut this lead in half.
37:55This would be an important swing.
37:57And it feels like New York has won this quarter so far just in terms of the turnovers that they
38:02forced.
38:03The way that they scored the basketball.
38:05And Astier definitely not happy with that one.
38:08But again, it's that left foot of Mitchell that just lands directly on the heel.
38:11So you've got to call it.
38:13You've got to protect the shooters.
38:15And listen, New York benefited from the foul on Boston with Jones up top.
38:19And it's so hard as a defender when you know you've got to get there to challenge the shop.
38:24You just get a little too aggressive.
38:27Free throw is good for Mitchell.

38:31Did you enjoy shooting free throws with nobody on the line?
38:33Would that throw you off sometimes?

38:36But it's just not normal.
38:39I think it's strange when you have so much of the crowd around you in the backdrop without anybody on

38:44And I say that as a terrible free throw shooter in my career.
38:48And now Kelsey Mitchell has 41 straight games in double figures.
38:52A streak that started back on August 3rd of 2025 against Seattle.
