00:09their feet wet.
00:10Yeah, the beach is nice, a little adventure, the kids will love it.
00:13The final destination is a 160 year old lighthouse.
00:17It's crazy busy, it's good to see, lots of tourists here, that's great.
00:21Some brought boats, others brought their best friend.
00:25He loves the water, yeah, yeah he really does.
00:28But it's the natural wonders that are the biggest drawcard.

00:49Bowen is one of the places in Queensland where you have fringing reefs so you will see coral
00:53and we just want people to be really careful.
00:55In a region known for four metre tides it's rare for the waters to drop to thigh deep.
01:01Last year in 2025 there were no really low tides so the walk wasn't possible at all.
01:07This year there are just five chances to walk across to the lighthouse.
01:11It's only possible when the tide drops below 20 centimetres exposing the sandbar.
01:16During a rare winter alignment of the sun and moon.
01:19For those with the stamina, the lighthouse destination treated visitors to a 360 degree view.
01:27I actually went up, tried my best to get to the top of this lighthouse but ladders were
01:32a bit rocky.
01:32And as the tide rose, a sunset dash to dry land.
01:37I've had a bit of luck with the sandbar!
01:38This is what I wanted to make sure the sea deeper will be a bit on the track.
01:38I've had a bit of a bay abys on the boat.
01:38Here's a bit of a bay abys on the beach.
01:39I'm doing a bit of a bay abys on the lake and where you can find the eastern island.
01:40I'm trying to be a bit of a bay bay.
