Severe flooding has once again devastated central Texas, where at least two people have died after vehicles were swept away by fast-moving floodwaters. Torrential rainfall caused the Guadalupe River to rise rapidly, triggering widespread rescues and renewed emergency warnings across the region. Authorities say more than 230 people have been rescued using boats, helicopters and ground crews as floodwaters inundated roads and neighborhoods. The disaster has struck the same area that suffered catastrophic flash floods last summer, when more than 130 people lost their lives. Officials continue urging residents to move to higher ground as heavy rain persists and dangerous flooding threatens additional communities.
