00:00If the playoffs started right now, you're in.
00:04It's crazy.
00:05That's tremendous.
00:06As you talk about how they should approach the trade deadline,
00:11an off-asked question they absolutely, Matt, should be buyers.
00:14But they should also be in on a real baseball trade
00:17where they're going to have to give something up.
00:18In other words, you want that big marquee franchise right-handed bat,
00:22which I'm sorry, they should have been in on whether they're 10 games out or in.
00:27They should have been looking at the trade deadline as an opportunity to find that player.
00:31If it's just because of the trade deadline, they're available, then you do it.
00:34I don't want rentals, but they're not going to find it in free agency.
00:40They're not going to find it in their system.
00:42They're going to have to make a trade for the middle-of-the-order right-handed thump that they need.
00:47So now is an opportunity to do it, whether you're good or you suck.
00:50So they should have been doing this either way.
00:52It's going to be harder now because you are going to have to give something up.
00:56But I would give up.
00:57And you tell me, the guy, whether it's Byron Buxton or Mike Trout, Jordan Alvarez,
01:06whether any of these guys are realistic or not, just name the big.
01:09But is Alvarez right-handed or left-handed?
01:11Alvarez is left-handed.
01:12I don't care what he hits.
01:14I mean, he's tremendous.
01:15Now, realistically, Mike, are those guys going to be available?
01:19I don't think so.
01:20I don't know if that bad is out there.
01:23That's probably more of an off-season discussion.
01:25But I think just from a general perspective, they need to be in on that.
01:31This team has, whether it's now or in the off-season, when more of those players are available,
01:35this team, it's what they lack.
01:37And the team on the field right now is proving that they deserve that type of investment.
