Costumes and props from hit TV series 'Outlander' go on display ahead of auction
Fans of the hit drama series "Outlander" have a chance to own a piece of the landmark television show with costumes, props and set pieces going under the hammer in London. Auction house Bonhams unveiled highlights from the "Outlander: The Auction” on Friday (July 17), featuring 12 years' worth of production memorabilia. "Outlander" centres on lead characters Claire and Jamie Fraser, played by Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, who time-travel and end up all around the world from Scotland to Paris. Among the lots are Claire's notable red ball gown with a plunging sweetheart neckline which is estimated to sell for £3,000 to £5,000, and Jamie's costume from the Battle of Culloden, estimated at £1,500 to £2,000. The auction marks the end of an era for "Outlander," which has run for 8 seasons, concluding with its series finale in May. A live auction takes place at Bonhams London on August 5, while additional items are also available in an online auction running through August 6. The props, costumes and set pieces are also displayed in a full exhibition for fans and potential buyers alike from Monday (July 20) to August 4.
