00:00:40We're recommencing on our Luminary series as part of the basics.

00:00:46It is a great pleasure to share something that I presented in a cursory view yesterday

00:00:56regarding the identification of Noach and Shem,

00:01:03who represent two of the most important repeat and redeployed players in God's story,

00:01:12being the two Ne'ar that accompanied Abraham and Yishak to Mount Moriah to affirm the covenant

00:01:24in year 2000, which was 1968 BCE.

00:01:29This does a marvelous, makes a marvelous contribution to Yawa's assessment that he established the covenant

00:01:42through Noach and recognizing that Shem is Noach's son and Shem is the most renowned and exemplary of names.

00:01:54The fact is that Noach is the man who repeatedly serves as Dode's father and surrogate father

00:02:08throughout all 6,000 years of recorded time in the Torah.

00:02:14So this is really a profoundly important insight.

00:02:18It's one that has never been noticed prior to this time.

00:02:22And God made it, I think, quite obvious to us that it is so.

00:02:30The last two comments on Noach read,

00:02:33Noach, reliable leader and spiritual guide,

00:02:37continued to live after the flood,

00:02:43300 and 300 repetitions,

00:02:47doing this all over again throughout the years,

00:02:51and 50 repetitions of times of renewal.

00:02:57And so all of the days of Noach,

00:03:02the reliable leader and spiritual guide,

00:03:05would be 900 repetitions and 50 years.

00:03:14Then the physical body was absence of life.

00:03:17This is Barashith in the beginning, Genesis 9, 28 and 29.

00:03:25And it is in his remaining years

00:03:31that it becomes obvious to the observant

00:03:35that Noach with his son Shem

00:03:38would live up to their billing

00:03:41as the one through whom Yahweh

00:03:44would establish his covenant.

00:03:52As we continue this story,

00:03:54we're going to have to do something here

00:03:56to keep the thing on the page here.

00:04:02When we went from one page to another,

00:04:05we have nothing but that which is cut off.

00:04:08So hopefully we can figure out a way

00:04:10to get things centered.

00:04:13We've got mouse and the page

00:04:16and everything that is operating

00:04:17in a manner that's really uncomfortable here.

00:04:24So while he's centering that,

00:04:27he's got to go the other way.

00:04:28You've got to be careful how far you go

00:04:29because we get the next page down,

00:04:34So you can't go that far on that.

00:05:10into the mirror of a teleprompter

00:05:13so that I'm looking in the direction of a camera

00:05:18as I share this information with you

00:05:21that I have written over these last few months

00:05:25for the very purpose of doing this program.

00:05:29So that's what we just adjusted.

00:05:32So excuse the interruption here.

00:05:36So with Noah continuing

00:05:39to live another 350 years,

00:05:48from year 1650 yah,

00:05:55it becomes, well, year 2000 yah, doesn't it?

00:06:00350 plus 1650 yah.

00:06:031650 yah was the year of the flood

00:06:06according to God's chronology.

00:06:08And I think God ought to be credited

00:06:10for doing a reasonably good job

00:06:11of giving us the timing of the flood.

00:06:15So with him living that additional 350 years

00:06:19from the flood in 1650 yah,

00:06:25well, then we know that he would have been there

00:06:32as one of those two witnesses

00:06:34because year 2000 yah is exactly when God managed

00:06:44to have Abraham and Yishak climb Mount Moriah

00:06:50and perform the dress rehearsal for the covenant

00:06:54with the two men there witnessing it

00:06:59who would ultimately fulfill it

00:07:03exactly 2,000 years later.

00:07:08So we're dealing with 1968 BCE

00:07:11and that is year 2000 yah.

00:07:13And while this was not Abraham's first encounter

00:07:18with the elder statesman,

00:07:20we're going to share that episode with you.

00:07:22I hinted at it yesterday

00:07:23because Abraham had met Noach and Shem

00:07:3210 years prior when they arrived with Yahweh

00:07:35telling Abraham that he and his wife

00:07:39would have a son.

00:07:42So while this is not the first,

00:07:45it is a decade that has slipped past

00:07:50these two encounters.

00:07:52So as we progress,

00:07:54recall the earlier references to Shachem

00:07:58as I had shared with you three days ago

00:08:01that Shachem was used deliberately

00:08:07in the account where Shem was responsible

00:08:12for covering his father's nakedness

00:08:15once Kham had exposed it.

00:08:17He had the garment on his shoulders.

00:08:20And so Shachem is going to play

00:08:22a significant role in this story,

00:08:25again in the story when these two men

00:08:30visit Abraham with Yahweh

00:08:34regarding the birth of Shach

00:08:36and again in the story of Ruth and Boaz.

00:08:40And it's one of many clues

00:08:41along with the repetition of wine

00:08:45being involved of apparel,

00:08:48being covering the right,

00:08:50all the right places,

00:08:52and of a bull

00:08:54and of being up early in the morning

00:08:57to progress in all of this.

00:09:01So just recall that Shachem shoulders,

00:09:05the upper part of the box

00:09:06and rising early in the morning

00:09:08because the term is redeployed.

00:09:11And also remember that we spoke

00:09:13of a wrapping of apparel

00:09:15and of a drunken ass

00:09:17while considering the etymology of Shachem

00:09:22in conjunction with the applicable breadth

00:09:26of the ne'ars meanings.

00:09:31So then we'll ponder the implications

00:09:33of the bull, the trees,

00:09:34and also of the burnt offering

00:09:38because it all ties together.

00:09:41These are clues that Yahweh

00:09:42has woven into the story

00:09:43so that we might understand

00:09:45the future connections.

00:09:48The text reads,

00:09:49so Abraham rose early in the morning

00:09:53to properly shoulder this succession

00:09:56of repeated events.

00:09:59And so here we have Shachem.

00:10:01He took action to reveal

00:10:03the ongoing repetition of things

00:10:05related to one's shoulder and back

00:10:07in conjunction with,

00:10:09there he is again,

00:10:11the Bacar bull.

00:10:12He wrapped apparel around,

00:10:15another clue.

00:10:17He saddled by dressing,

00:10:20placing clothing upon his drunken ass

00:10:24and his chomer of wine.

00:10:29Chamor hue is wild and inebriated donkey

00:10:34and a large stash of wine.

00:10:37It's from Camar to be boiling hot.

00:10:40That would be a reference to calm

00:10:43and in trouble from a Camar,

00:10:47which is a significant stash of wine.

00:10:54So he grasped hold of and accepted

00:10:58the outreached,

00:11:01boy, we're having trouble on this,

00:11:04the outreach and support of,

00:11:06this is Shannim,

00:11:09of two fully grown

00:11:10and scarlet red,

00:11:13a couple,

00:11:14it's plural of Shanné,

00:11:16which means both scarlet red

00:11:19and full grown physically mature.

00:11:22So note that in Shafat Judges,

00:11:25as I had mentioned,

00:11:27with an old fully mature red bull

00:11:31is how this word is used in context.

00:11:36Then we find Na'ar.

00:11:38Na'ar is just key to all of this.

00:11:41And I'm now translating

00:11:49Yeshaya, Isaiah 10,

00:11:52which is the prelude

00:11:54to the Chodra reference

00:11:57where a man is given

00:12:00the seven spirits of Yahweh,

00:12:01something that heretofore

00:12:03had never happened previously.

00:12:04And in that depiction,

00:12:08God writes the preamble

00:12:13to the Chodra chapter,

00:12:15letting us know the events

00:12:18that will take place

00:12:19during his lifetime

00:12:22and the role that he will play

00:12:25in resolving them.

00:12:27And at the,

00:12:28toward the end of this,

00:12:29as God specifically refers to him

00:12:32as an ad witness

00:12:33and as the Bashar herald,

00:12:38he says that he is a Na'ar.

00:12:43And we know that in that context,

00:12:45because the man that has been described

00:12:48has now completed his life's mission,

00:12:52he has finally served

00:12:53as the Adama Parah

00:12:55and has not only risen

00:12:58from that sacrifice,

00:13:00he could be anything

00:13:01but a young man.

00:13:03He is a weathered man

00:13:06that has endured

00:13:09many things in life.

00:13:10And when you look

00:13:12at the verbal root of Na'ar,

00:13:14not only here is it used

00:13:15in Isaiah 10

00:13:17in such a way

00:13:17that it can never even imply,

00:13:20even insinuate young,

00:13:21there is no entomology

00:13:23that would support young

00:13:24associated with Na'ar

00:13:25and its verbal root.

00:13:26It's a withered men,

00:13:30men who have been in the sun

00:13:32for a very long time,

00:13:34who are long in days,

00:13:37if you will.

00:13:38The primary meaning of Na'ar

00:13:40from its verbal root

00:13:41is these are reasonably loud individuals.

00:13:46They roar.

00:13:47They growl.

00:13:49They speak up above the masses

00:13:54and they are rustling about

00:13:57for the express purpose

00:13:59of creating division and separation.

00:14:03They are about the business

00:14:05of removing the flock

00:14:09from that which is trying

00:14:11to control them.

00:14:12So they're highly divisive individuals

00:14:16and that's the verbal root

00:14:19of the word.

00:14:21So growling and withered men,

00:14:23rustling about

00:14:24and shaking things up

00:14:25is Na'ar

00:14:28and it is a powerful term.

00:14:30It's woven all the way

00:14:30through this story.

00:14:32It's woven through

00:14:32the story of the Choder.

00:14:34It's brought up to us

00:14:36in this story also

00:14:37of Ruth and Boaz

00:14:39and plays a very important role

00:14:41in that story as well.

00:14:43One of the most misunderstood

00:14:46titles in the Torah and Prophets.

00:14:50And as we move past

00:14:52the fact that these are two Na'ar,

00:14:54let me read the passage

00:14:56up to this point

00:14:57so that we don't lose track

00:14:59of where we are.

00:15:00So as Abraham rose early

00:15:03in the morning

00:15:04to properly shoulder

00:15:05this succession

00:15:06of repeated

00:15:09events

00:15:12in connection

00:15:13with the Bakar bowl,

00:15:16he wrapped apparel

00:15:17around

00:15:21Boy, this is tough

00:15:22on the pages.

00:15:24We're going to have to figure out

00:15:25a different way

00:15:26to manage this going forward.

00:15:35is a drunken ass

00:16:43and you probably read it

00:16:44that, you know,

00:16:45he loaded

00:16:45some

00:16:46wood

00:16:48on the

00:16:48donkey

00:16:49but

00:16:50the word

00:16:51is

00:16:51etsi

00:16:52means

00:16:53trees

00:16:54and

00:16:56baka

00:16:57doesn't mean
