00:01:00convey to us regarding the two luminaries that are introduced of course in the first chapter of the
00:01:08torah when in uh fourth day of creation god goes entirely to a prophetic witness doesn't mention
00:01:18anything that is created and said and says instead that there will be two luminaries mayor who will
00:01:25serve as signs as uh consensual witnesses to the moody which are the seven annual meetings with god that
00:01:35paved the way from where we are to where he is so they're really extraordinary individuals and so following
00:01:43that we decided we would um peruse all of the various ways that yahweh weaves the sun and moon as
00:01:51the
00:01:51greater and lesser luminaries into his story and one of the most interesting we will find is in yashiyah isaiah
00:02:0030.
00:02:02so as we as we learn excuse me
00:02:09look at all the space i got yeah i know we specifically got uh wookie so that he could
00:02:15join us on on this uh but he just bumped into the teleprompter um it's a trope and he hit
00:02:22his head on the
00:02:23teleprompter uh and his uh his frustration is his girlfriend uh kara is uh down in a throne uh a

00:03:16that's typically a really good thing i don't think there's any point where god says oi and what follows
00:03:23is uh is delightful if you're getting an oi alas this warning uh god's got a bone to pick with

00:03:32so he does here to the sar are the stubbornly defiant that doesn't sound good obnoxiously rebellious
00:03:41no and obstinate the sar are the unwilling to change and openly defiant was written in the call
00:03:52participle it's not good either because the participle means it's a verbal noun and so he is
00:03:58describing this as uh as defining traits
00:04:04so alas this warning to the stubbornly defiant children prophetically declares yahweh who pursue
00:04:12counsel and advice on the entirety of the plan as if a tree of comprehensive knowledge etza but
00:04:22it's not from me and of those choosing objects of worship blanketing over the truth and forming
00:04:31intoxicating alliances nashak mexica overshadowing and interweaving things and covering over and pouring
00:04:42out all manner of idolatrous concoctions but not of my spirit god says and they do so with disastrous
00:04:52results destructively swept away by being caught up captured and consumed and all of this missing the
00:05:02way and leading others astray losing sight of the goal and forfeiting the opportunity thereby incurring guilt

00:05:22first first of the 30th chapter well that starts off with a bang does it not as we say a
00:05:29lot to unpack but
00:05:31yeshaya is conveying what yahwah has revealed to him in yahwah's voice so this is god speaking you
00:05:40can't get mad at the prophet for uh being an anti-semite since he's uh um criticizing
00:05:47israel and yehudam because it's god speaking and you know god is
00:05:53yahwah and that's his name and so god can't be an anti-shemite because that's his name
00:06:02and here he says alas this is a warning he's speaking to israel to this are the stubbornly
00:06:14defiant the obnoxiously rebellion and the obstinous that is how god sees israel it's how god sees has
00:06:21seen israel all along the way it has never changed it will never change at least until the very very
00:06:27very end the whole reason for enduring the time of troubles which we are now in
00:06:32is so that israel is finally broken of this obnoxious rebellion
00:06:39god looks at you as bratty children
00:06:44he's stating this prophetically so that it is what he continues to see it's what persists it's what
00:06:53jews have chosen to pursue now the counsel and advice on the entirety of the plan as
00:07:01if a tree of comprehensive knowledge is from etzah etz is tree in hebrew etzah is all things pertaining
00:07:09to a tree and a specific tree which is the tree of knowledge so the difference between etz and etzah
00:07:17is etz is simply tree and etzah is the entirety of the plan as the tree branches out and delivers

00:07:26fruit of understanding it is using that tree to frame the issue to understand the entire story from
00:07:37beginning to end and so god's saying that the leaders of judaism the rabbis are claiming
00:07:45that they have the plan that they know the plan that their knowledge is comprehensive
00:07:54they're claiming in essence what is claimed by god of the choder he is the etzah dayat
00:08:03counsel on the full understanding of the tree of knowledge but god says of these
00:08:12rebellious rebellious and obstinate children and chosen people israel that what they are saying
00:08:21is not from yahweh boy you don't want that set of you you're claiming you're speaking for god and god
00:08:32says no you're not that's uh it's really bad
00:08:38and of choosing objects of worship blanketing over the truth and forming intoxicating alliances
00:08:46here's god saying that your objects of veneration have become rabbis
00:08:51you blanketed over the truth with your talmud
00:08:55and you've formed some of the most intoxicating alliances through politics and religion
00:09:02you've interwoven your own tapestry covering over and pouring out all manner of concoctions but
00:09:12they're not my spirit they're not my spirit this morning and yesterday when we talked about rabbis
00:09:17and kabbalah uh having all sorts of uh spiritual um insights yeah it's god saying it's not my spirit
00:09:25and if you're claiming that you have divine intervention and it's not god's spirit then it's demonic
00:09:36that's why he says with disastrous results
00:09:41that these claims that the jewish religious establishment the sages the rabbis are making
00:09:49are sweeping god's people away they're being caught up and captured in a trap the religious trap they're
00:09:59joining in and thereby perishing because they've missed the way because they've gone astray because
00:10:07they're leading others away from god and therefore they have lost sight of what the goal is which is
00:10:13the covenant and yahweh and a relationship with him and they forfeited the opportunity by preferring
00:10:20judaism and that religion over the relationship god intends they've incurred guilt and a resulting
00:10:28penalty penalty and there is no resolution for their guilt because that occurs on matzah and in judaism

00:10:40so the religious antagonize god they miss the way they forfeit their inheritance the talmud

00:12:00not inspired by yahweh and therefore they're demonically inspired god is saying that his
00:12:07people as a result of religion are conducting their lives in a manner that causes them to
00:12:13bow before the troublesome oppressors they have descended because of the religious and political persecution of
00:12:23rabbis in judaism the foe of yahood without inquiring about or they're consulting or even questioning statements

00:12:37now it's uh interesting because the talmud is supposed to be the oral torah where the statements come from
00:12:44rabbis and so there's god saying yeah you listen to your rabbis
00:12:50but you don't listen to what comes from my mouth which would be the actual torah

00:13:45and to have been liberated from maots pharaoh you will be humbled humiliated and shamed
00:14:03and here every time that god speaks of that which is humiliating humbling or shameful it is something to be

00:14:15now there is this perception particularly in christianity but it's permeates a lot of religions
00:14:23where they extol humility as a virtue god doesn't see it that way god sees humility as something to be
00:14:33avoided
00:14:34it's shameful this is from busheth
00:14:42and the loyalty and faith then the obscuring shadow of troublesome and oppressive screams which are adversarial
00:14:51and abusive and abusive will continue to be shameful humiliating isaiah isaiah 33 it's unknown to many people but the
00:15:04reality is that
00:15:07god throughout his toron prophets speaks vociferously of all of the reasons that he hates religion

00:16:04in politics will never see the light because the luminaries are obscured from their view

00:16:27god continues to say for they exist as his religious political and military authorities
00:16:37among those wandering away and taken down
