00:00now let's identify where tyler nickel is on this play he is right there at the top of the key
00:05keep your eye on tyler nickel through this possession because he is going to get tested
00:11on this possession in the way that i thought he would and let's see how he holds up so right
00:16here
00:16good job staying with his man right even as the shot goes up now he's in the position we'll see
00:21if he's able to box out this is what you want to see him do shots going up makes the
00:25eye contact
00:25turns box out his man doesn't even like charge and try to get the rebound not trying but
00:29tyler nickel to be fair was in position to box him out right keep your eye on nickel here now
00:34offensive rebound first dispersed and they're looking to get out he tries to trap here which
00:40you could worry a little bit okay how's he going to recover but recognizes and gets right back out
00:45now it's a different matchup and he gets attacked but uses the corner use the baseline as an extra
00:50baseline yeah and then again helped and recovered well it's a good closeout to recover a sequence by
00:56him yeah it's a great defensive sequence by him he had a lot of things he was attacked he used
01:00the
01:00baseline as an extra man and then helped and recovered on a closeout really well here knows
01:07the screen is coming communications there ball handler rejects the screen okay cool now i'm going to
01:13deny the baseline use that as a defender get some help here good this is actually like very good team
01:18defense also we should note because dotty is here the entire time you have this sealed off
01:23basically no passes going to the opposite corner and nickel basically puts the ball handler right
01:29back where the play started along the sideline too right as the clock is ticking down now we're at six
01:34we're going to be at five the spurs have to get a shot up here's nickel again
01:42he's dropping now this only can go one way yep he's the next of three guys basically on him now
01:49here's the closeout this is the moment of truth basically and you it's hard to do much better
01:55than that yeah like from from where he was this is great consistent constant defensive activity there
02:02you it's hard to do much better from him
02:02you it's hard to do much better from him
02:02you it's hard to do much better from him
02:03you it's hard to do much better from him
