00:07he's again in the headlines today for, well, a variety of reasons that he's been in the headlines for
00:14over the last couple of weeks, whether it's his home country of Venezuela being impacted the way it's been impacted
00:20and his emotion for the people of his country, his friends, his family, and everybody else there,
00:26and then the suspension that he got knocked down to five games.
00:32He runs a little hot sometimes, and that, you know, has come out in certain situations,
00:38like did in the Yankees series when he's barking at guys.
00:41He's had situations throughout the course there.
00:43He's a pretty recognizable guy.
00:44He's the most recognizable guy who is in the starting nine for the Red Sox on a daily basis right
00:50now.
00:51He is produced in a big way.
00:52He's had a great season, 20-plus home runs already.
00:54He had a great night last night.
00:56And he says he wants to be in Boston because he loves it there,
00:59which I can understand why you would love playing baseball in front of a packed house every night
01:03the way you do in Boston, even when the team stinks.
01:07But Wilson Contreras has come to a team that has wildly underachieved,
01:12fired its manager three and a half weeks into the season,
01:16and has largely been the center of scorn from the people of Boston.
01:22So when he says, you know, I've told him, I told him I want to be there.
01:26And so I hear that, and I say, oh, do you?
01:32Oh, no.
01:33Zoe would say, oh, really?

01:38You get Alex Verdugo vibes from him.
01:41I'm not saying comparing the two things or what they did,
01:43but just the attitude and the approach and that and the bitching and this and that.
01:47That's how you feel about him.
01:48Well, I'm just telling you, I feel this way about him because he's 34 years old
01:52and he's in a situation with a contract that pays him $18 million this year.
01:59It will pay him $17 million next year.
