00:18rolling around on the freaking ground trying to draw fouls.
00:21That was from Argentina, Switzerland on whatever night this was, Saturday night.
00:27What the irony there was, and again, it started the same thing with that U.S. game
00:31that we talked about a couple weeks ago, where the Switzerland player went down,
00:36the Argentinian was given a card, they went and looked at it on VAR.
00:39Their replay system saw that the Switzerland player dove before there was any contact,
00:45and there was really not any contact.
00:47Switzerland player went down, he got a yellow for simulation.
00:50The problem was the Switzerland player had taken a hard foul earlier in the game.
00:54It was a second yellow, he got ejected from the game.
00:57And still, Argentina needed, until the last couple minutes of stoppage time,
01:02to score the game winner, which they ultimately did.
01:05But, so there's two jumping off points there.
01:07One is, it's good to see soccer's doing this, they should do more of it.
01:12It was a real, kind of punitive call.
01:16We've certainly seen worse dives.
01:18We've certainly seen in these games, I mean, guys are just constantly rolling around on the pitch,
01:22and we talk about it all the time.
01:24And this was really not that much more egregious than what you're used to seeing in any given match
01:29over any given 90, 100 minutes.
01:31It's like, pretty standard.
01:33It's a pretty standard dive.
01:35But just because of the timing, and that the other player got the card,
01:38and video was able to look at it, and because he had gotten a previous yell,
01:41he got rung from the game.
