00:27However, scientists say there were no other known major factors that could have contributed to the spike in numbers.
00:34They say the recent heat wave has been largely driven by human-caused climate change, making it more intense and
00:40frequent.
00:41It has shut down schools, disrupted power supplies and broken temperature records in Spain, France as well as the UK.
