04:46surprising i and i obviously i had to start checking things and i go there's nothing here that says that
04:50if that was you would think so but here we are uh i took by the way did you see

04:55saturday morning about miami yes i was driving i had to go run a big errand yet on saturday and

05:01driving i go man if i end up being right about the miami thing that i was last week i

05:08champions pose but i can't be excited that i'm right because i think now i i didn't think like
05:15if he would have if he would have decided he was no longer gonna play for the lakers and he's

05:18go to golden state and that would have taken 48 hours or something like that i i think people
05:22would have moved on guys we're two weeks into this and so i think that the more time that goes

05:27and the more things that are being asked and the more hearsay because it's akron and cleveland
05:33and they're both with again if you live between him everybody knows somebody who knows him and
05:39everybody's saying something and it's not gotten annoying but we're just going man when are you
05:44going to make your decision and now it's gotten to the point where if he doesn't pick cleveland i
05:47think some people are going to be really mad at him i think everybody's going to be mad okay i

05:50wanted to make sure your thoughts were now i say that knowing that in 10 years or whenever when they
05:55have a statue and retire numbers and things like that all that will go away but i i now i

06:01hell if you don't pick cleveland considering we've been doing this for two two weeks i think some people
06:05are going to be pretty mad yes but it's not like we're missing out on the rest of free agency

06:15i would add and this is very important i'm glad owen brought that up yeah there basically is no free
06:19agency anymore in the nba it's all trade so it's not really holding up materially holding up business
06:26for the calves like they were always like let's say lebron decides and and picks cleveland the thought
06:34that i think more people have come around to is they're most likely going to break up jared allen
06:39and evan mobley keeping mobley trading allen allen's stock has not gone lower the more we get
06:47into this like the teams they're having these discussions regardless because they have to have
06:54their their ducks in a row based on whether or not lebron prioritizes cleveland or not so it's not like
07:01hey oh great lebron chose us but we're out of time no then then it's the probably the jared allen
07:07deal then maybe schruder is a part of this or max streus is a part of this kind of all

07:13none of that is changing yeah there's kind of that you're right that's kind of all there is to it
07:17so i i just kind of want to know i mean you asked if i'm tired of the weight yeah

07:48teams in the nba it would be considered you're one of the teams that have a chance at a championship

08:02calves fans in terms of winning a championship and i think that because we've put our eggs in
08:07his basket if he doesn't choose our eggs some people are going to be really upset and then we're
08:14going to go you think that last year was a malaise i don't know what it's going to be like

08:18this year with the calves man i don't know like it's getting to the point it's like boy he has

09:08like well this this iteration hasn't won and yet the fans have have have odd expectations as if
09:15we're perennial champions and uh ho-hum or when tom brady and has been our quarterback for 20 years

10:38lead right now on the prediction markets and if you just if you're just to pull people around the league
10:44they were all kind of resigned to it over the weekend like you know uh amina uh amina hassan
10:49was like yeah it's it's been cleveland it's going to be cleveland you know zach lowe even buckled and
10:55reverse course over the weekend and said uh calves are probably his best basketball um chance to win a
11:02championship like he completely didn't about face because i think everybody had to take a step back
11:07and realize oh yeah the calves are really good and adding lebron james is a massive upgrade at the
11:13position of weakness is probably really good and then they're probably not done then they're going
11:17to make some trades yeah like we we were we were a little ridiculous a week and a half ago
11:22when guys
11:23like bill simmons on the same podcast with zach lowe we're like oh that's a terrible basketball fit it's
11:28like really really all some of the smartest and best basketball players in the nba all playing together
11:34is now going to be some terrible outcome for lebron james that happens to be in cleveland like no
11:40no that's probably silly well i i think some people a lot of people changed it they went back
11:45they went back to thinking logically about this yeah and i think you're right about that because
11:50i think some people were kind of rooting against it because they've already told the story before
11:53and so i think people like new fresh stories and there's not much else to say if you're not from

12:00if you're if you didn't care about the calves like bill simmons don't give a damn about the calves
12:03so because he doesn't have anything to say about the calves there's nothing really new to get into
12:07other than yeah this would be his retirement and there would be conversations about where he fits
12:12with the all-time greats all that other stuff but i think that they want to tell a fresh story
12:16for us we just want him back because we want a chance to win a championship be a hell of
12:19a way to
12:19cap off a career if he went out like john elway or something like that like that'd be nuts
12:23but so as much as i am guys i am i'm tired of it i'm tired of waiting but i

12:31other options because i cannot because of where we're at because i we owe it to the fan base i
12:38have to remain involved i have to remain checking all the stuff and seeing all the things that come
12:43in so as much as i can be tired about it okay that's great ken i know we're all tired

12:50we're all beholden to him you know i'm i'm more fascinated by this because it's also bringing in kind
12:56of the retrospective of an entire career and in a weird way it is having the effect of having to
13:07truly like take you know respect this career again yeah you know and and a very few times you only
13:14normally do that when somebody dies or somebody retires and i'm just seeing all the old clips of
13:21him with the calves and in in a weird way i'm kind of enjoying it like yeah i'd like it
13:26to get
13:26resolved i'd like it to happen today just so i can be confident about my basketball team and get
13:32excited about it the season tickets yes i mean i i had buddies over the weekend that contacted the
13:37calves for season tickets like good season tickets like congratulations on all your success season
13:41tickets and the calves said hold on so i found that very interesting they won't let them buy the
13:49season tickets it was like a we are in a in a front in this section we are in a
13:54frozen now that i
13:55didn't know that's pretty that's something right there and it's like i i have buddies that they're
14:00confident enough where they want to put their money in because they think this is a great opportunity
14:03because they're going well the ticket the ticket prices are going to change i think if he chooses
14:08cleveland certain parts of that arena you could see some some increases for some people that could
14:14handle it i guess i can't fault enterprise because i think they just assume if anybody's
14:20buying tickets now they're going to sell the tickets right yeah so you can't make you can
14:25make money off people trying to make money and also depends on if it truly is his last year i
14:29know
14:29there's some debate is there going to be another year is it going to be two years i mean if
14:33anybody
14:34has bucked the trend of durability in sports it's lebron yeah but it could also be hey these are the
14:42last times i ever me my kids my grandchildren my parents could ever get a chance to see well lebron
