00:00For some Johorians working outside the state, polling day meant making the journey home to vote.
00:06Speaking to FMT, electronic sector worker Jenny Yong said her Singaporean employer had given all 30 Malaysian staff the day
00:15off so they could return to Johor for the state election.
00:26Yong said her boss understood why Malaysians wanted to vote, adding that she cast her ballot for a better Johor
00:33and more development.
00:35Several other voters also returned from Singapore, including a man who wanted to be known only as Leon, who said
00:42voting was his duty.
00:45Two other voters said they had taken leave from work to vote and hoped the election would one day help
00:51make it possible for them to live and work in Malaysia again.
00:54They were among outstationed voters casting their ballots in Stulang, a DAP-held urban stronghold in Johor Baru, where Pakatan
