00:21and adds an eighth defendant to the conspiracy, Chandler D. Skaggs, 21, of Chapmanville, West Virginia.
00:31Mr. Skaggs was taken into custody a few days ago in West Virginia.
00:36The indictment charges all eight men with two conspiracy counts.
00:42The first count is a conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists by way of money, firearms, ammunition, body armor,
00:51explosives, drones, medical and communications equipment, as well as personnel,
00:58with the knowledge and intent that those resources were to be used in preparation for and to carry out the
01:05murder
01:05of federal officers and employees in the course of an attack on a federal facility
01:12and the use of a weapon of mass destruction.
01:16That first conspiracy count is punishable by up to 15 years of imprisonment.
01:23The second count is a conspiracy to commit murder on federal government territory
01:28and to murder a federal government official, including the President of the United States,
01:33the Vice President of the United States and members of Congress.
01:46The indictment details several overt acts allegedly committed by the defendants in May and June of this year,
01:54including acquiring and maintaining firearms, ammunition and body armor,
02:00meeting to train in marksmanship and combat tactics,
02:05meeting to provide firearms and other gear to each other,
02:12purchasing a 3D printer to make drones,
02:15making plans to travel together to Washington, D.C.
02:18and actually beginning travel to Washington, D.C.
02:23The allegations in this indictment, we allege,
02:26show that these men were not simply airing grievances from behind their keyboards
02:31and sharing like-minded political ideologies.
02:35Rather, they took action to carry out a plot to attack the UFC Freedom 250 event
02:42and to murder federal officials at the highest levels of our government.
02:49Political discourse has many places in our society.
02:53Political violence has none.
02:57Because of the diligent, around-the-clock work of our AUSAs,
03:01our law enforcement partners,
03:02our sister U.S. attorneys' offices around the country
03:05and the National Security Division,
03:08these eight men are now in custody
03:10and this threat to our government and to the public
03:13has been successfully neutralized.

05:24And officials say the focus was on what they called high-value targets,
05:29politicians, elites.
05:31Some chats even reference figures tied to Trump, Vance,
05:36and other names connected to broader conspiracy grievances.
05:39And third, discussions of what investigators are calling a second wave,
05:44a plan to storm the White House gates if the first phase succeeded in creating chaos.
05:50According to officials, the motivation behind this plot was rooted in anti-government conspiracies,
05:57anger over issues like the Jeffrey Epstein files, resentment toward billionaires, tensions tied to Israel.
