00:00Canada will never back down, Donald, and Canada is prepared to defend every inch of its territory
00:07from your authoritarian, repressive, and predatorial regime, as we are learning more about how
00:15earlier in this Trump regime, Donald Trump threatened that he would not recognize the
00:20Canadian border.
00:22Now what is happening, Canada is prepared to defend in all out war with Trump.
00:28Trump really want Canada to be the first state of the U.S.
00:33And discussed invading Canada.
00:36We learned how the Canadian government, then under Trudeau, stood up against Donald Trump
00:41and that press conference that took place where former Prime Minister Trudeau then responded
00:46by threatening to impose massive tariffs against the Trump regime in retaliation to watch as
00:54Donald Trump and the Trump regime were stunned and whiny and backed down and how Canada was
00:59inspired to stand up and then linking that with the latest NATO summit.
01:15And how Donald Trump once again is saying, well, I want Greenland, I want Greenland, it just
01:21reminds everybody, Canadians, other members of NATO, the rest of the world, that this predatorial
01:28Trump regime is not just going to go away.
01:31They may just take their eye off it for a little bit, back down and start to whine, but
01:37their predatorial authoritarian ambitions to destroy the world is not going to end.
01:45Former member of parliament, Charlie Angus, just gave an incredible, had an incredible discussion
01:52about this that I want to share with you, where he recounts what went down when Donald Trump
02:15refused to acknowledge the Canadian border and the implications that war between Canada
02:21and the United States was imminent.
02:24That's how it was viewed in Canada.
02:26And Canada was preparing for war and still, frankly, should be prepared and is prepared.
02:31And when I say war to defend itself from the authoritarian regime in defense of Canada.
02:37And then former member of parliament, Charlie Angus, who also leads Midas Canada, he then discusses
02:43how Donald Trump's behavior in NATO shows that Donald Trump's going to keep on doing this.
02:49Yeah, everybody knows these things.
02:53Donald Trump, keep on doing these BS things every time you talk about it, every time.
03:01And this is where the world needs to come together.
03:04Democracies need to come together to stand up to this despicable Trump regime.
03:09True.
03:09And that despicable ambassador, they have Hoekstra over there in Canada.
03:13The United States ambassador to Canada.
03:15Here's what Charlie Angus said.
03:17Let's play this clip.
03:18So the threat to our border, to our sovereignty, to our nationhood is as serious as it can get.
03:25We're learning more now about the phone conversation between Donald Trump and Prime Minister Justin
03:31Trudeau, where Donald Trump made the explicit threat against our border.
03:36Yes, against the Canadian border.
03:39Donald Trump really did this thing.
03:43He said, this is that things happening.
03:46A threat that would create a destabilized situation where the United States could use any provocation to attack us.
03:54And the only reason they backed off is because Canada stood up and said we would punch them with everything
04:02we had.
04:02But the threat has not gone away.
04:05Yes.
04:06Just ask the people of Greenland and Denmark.
04:08So what we're seeing with NATO this week is Donald Trump doesn't back down from his threats.
04:15Yes.
04:16Donald said, we will invade Canada as soon as possible.
04:23But he steps back for a while.
04:25But the threat against democracy, the threat against sovereignty, the threat to our nationhood remains.
04:31And we have to remain vigilant.
04:32Now, more from Charlie Angus right here.
04:35I want to share with you as he describes what went down as Trump was like, we're not going to
04:41even acknowledge the Canadian border and how that brought Canada to be on the brink of war against the Trump
04:47regime.
04:48Play this clip.
04:48Okay, watch this.
04:50Trump's short-dropping secret threat to U.S. ally is leaked.
04:55Unprecedented phone call.
04:57It happened as Donald Trump issued 25% across the board unilateral tariffs against Canada, where Donald Trump was talking
05:07out loud about being able to simply move the border if he wanted, where Donald Trump was talking about breaking
05:13our nation, ridiculing our prime minister, saying he was going to make us the 51st state.
05:18And when Prime Minister Trudeau phoned him to try and talk through this and to remind Donald Trump of Canada's
05:26long-standing friendship and loyalty and how important the billions of dollars of trade are with the United States.
05:33We have friends with you, we have friends with you, man.
05:35We do trades, a brilliant Donald trade.
05:39And now you're doing all these things, saying all these things.
05:42States, for both sides and for workers in both countries.
05:46Yes.
05:46Donald Trump announced that he was going to walk away from the 1908 Boundary Convention.
05:53So that was the convention that finally settled all the issues of the 9,000-kilometer undefended border.
06:01By making that threat, Donald Trump was saying he was going to plunge North America into a dangerously destabilized situation.
06:12By walking away on the recognition of our sovereignty, Donald Trump was creating a moment for provocation to target us
06:23in any way he wanted.
06:25Now, this is now a very threatful situation for Canada and also for the Canadian people right now.
06:35What is happening here is...
06:37Now, technically, Canada could say, well, we still had the 1818 Convention on the border, the 1846 Convention, but it
06:44wouldn't matter.
06:45What would happen is if the United States walked away, they could say, we don't recognize the border and we
06:52will defend our interests.
06:54Yes.
06:54And this was at a time of growing provocation against Canada.
06:57When we were hearing it all in the news at the time, it just seemed so bizarre and crazy.
07:02You had Kristi Noem.
07:02Yeah, Kristi Noem, that Kristi Noem of Nova Red Mining, who was saying...
07:07Let me tell you, U.S.-Canada border threat growing, Homeland Secretary Kristi Noem says it growing.
07:16...that the real threat to the United States wasn't the southern border, it was the northern border, yeah, the Canadian
07:22border,
07:22that we represented the threat of criminality and menace against the American people.
07:27Where you had Kash Patel, yeah, Kash Patel, was he sober or not, the head of the FBI?
07:32The FBI had, yeah.
07:33Saying that terrorists were coming over the Canadian border.
07:35Yes.
07:36Where Donald Trump was describing Canada as this giant fentanyl lab, killing Americans as though we were a narco state.
07:43Yes, dude, Trump is saying everything he has in his mouth.
07:49What is that?
07:50He didn't understand it because it seemed so crazy.
07:52But what they were doing were they were setting the excuses for provocation, to be able to go after a
07:58narco state, to be able to cross the border, to go after their supposed terrorist threats.
08:04This was a situation that was getting more and more dangerous.
08:08And so when Donald Trump put that threat on the table, he was saying, if we don't recognize the border,
08:14we can do what the hell we want.
08:15And it would have plunged Canada and the United States.
08:18They said they are not recognizing the Canadian border and they will just invade Canada just like that.
08:26...into a situation of war.
08:28Here he talks about standing up to the Trump regime.
08:33Let's play it.
08:33But then something happened that the White House didn't expect.
08:38Canada stood up.
08:40Do you remember that March 4th, 2025 press conference?
08:45Yes.
08:46Justin Trudeau said something in that press conference.
08:50Watch.
08:51...in Ottawa with Prime Minister Trudeau, Dominic LeBlanc and Melanie Jolie.
08:57When they came out for the press conference, you could see that they were rattled.
09:01You could see that something had gone down.
09:04And I think of all the moments in Prime Minister Trudeau's career, and people can say whatever they want about
09:11him, but this was the finest moment.
09:14Prime Minister Trudeau stood up.
09:17He said to the Canadian people that Donald Trump was trying to create, quote,
09:22a total collapse of the Canadian economy to make it easier to annex us.
09:28He spoke truthfully to us about the nature of the threat.
09:30And then he pointed out that Donald Trump has shown such hatred towards Canada, and yet was willing to support
09:39time and time again.
09:40I understand the threat, the hatred against Canada every time.
09:47I understand.
09:48I mean, not really understand.
09:50I know he's been doing all this.
09:52Quote, a lying, murderous dictator in the form of Vladimir Putin.
09:57These were blunt words.
09:58And then Prime Minister Trudeau announced that Canada was going to impose $155 billion in counter tariffs against the United
10:08States.
10:10The Canadian PM did at that time.
10:14This was unprecedented.
10:16Donald Trump, when he threatened other countries, they buckled, they bent, they signed whatever terrible agreement Donald Trump put in
10:22front of them.
10:23But what Donald Trump was putting in front of us was the end of our nationhood.
10:27And so when Prime Minister Trudeau said that he was going to impose $155 billion worth of tariffs,
10:34he reminded the Canadian people that this was going to plunge the North American economy into chaos.
10:39And he talked directly to American workers and said, you are going to suffer.
10:43Like if our workers...
10:44That's what really happened at that time.
10:47He really said this thing, this thing.
10:50...suffer, you're going to suffer.
10:51It was a very, very unprecedented move.
10:56But I was really struck by what the Prime Minister said to Canadians after telling us of the immense sacrifice
11:03that we were going to pay if we took that route.
11:05He said, when it comes to defending our great nation, there is no price we aren't willing to pay.
11:12And that rallied Canadians.
11:14Damn right.
11:14We would walk through anything to defend our country.
11:18And at Rally Canada, the boycott became so impassioned at that point.
11:23We understood that this was...
11:24Damn true.
11:26This is damn true.
11:27...was an existential threat to our nation.
11:30And we would do whatever it took to defend our border.
11:33Whatever.
11:34And then what happened?
11:35Trump tacoed.
11:36Yeah.
11:37They didn't expect us to stand up.
11:39But did they go away?
11:40Did they settle down?
11:41Did they decide, okay, this is not a good way to negotiate.
11:45Let's get back to the table.
11:47Uh-uh.
11:48Yeah.
11:48They turned on us with the whiny bitterness of bullies who've been punched in the nose.
11:54Donald Trump started saying that we were the nastiest people he had ever dealt with.
11:58Yeah, the nastiest.
11:59Pete Hoogstra, his gaslighting ambassador, called us nasty.
12:03Howard Lutnick said, Kennedy, you suck.
12:05Pete Navarro attacked us.
12:07They were enraged that we stood up to them.
12:10Damn.
12:10But what it shows also is that when you think of them refusing to open the Gordie Howe Bridge,
12:17when...
12:17Dude.
12:18Literally.
12:20Literally, they said us nasty.
12:22Nasty, nasty.
12:24They refused to negotiate on Kuzma.
12:26When they continue to gaslight and threaten us, it's because they haven't changed their view
12:32that they have the right to arbitrarily move that border or do whatever the hell they want
12:37with us.
12:38And what's stopping them is that we're standing up to them.
12:41And that's why they hate us.
12:42And then he talks about the NATO summit that just took place.
12:47Watch Charlie.
12:48Yes, yes.
12:48Charlie Angus is the only NATO summit.
12:51The Angus.
12:51Probably he's the best, isn't he?
12:53Here play this clip.
12:54So let's consider what happened this week at NATO.
12:57NATO.
12:57Donald Trump went to NATO.
12:59Did anyone think he was going to do anything other than try and undermine the alliance?
13:03Well, that's exactly what he did.
13:04And he targeted Greenland and Denmark.
13:07He issued lie after lie about Greenland, saying that it was surrounded by Chinese and Russian
13:12ships.
13:12He said that the Danish people did nothing for Greenland.
13:15The Greenland really belonged to the United States.
13:18Wow.
13:18And he issued a threat.
13:19He threatened to pull American troops out of Europe unless the NATO allies, the European
13:26countries, allowed him to just steal Greenland without any democratic rights of the people
13:33being recognized.
13:34What is that?
13:36I do not really understand.
13:38They're really doing all these things, man.
13:41I mean, wow.
13:42And that's not going to happen.
13:43So what Donald Trump has done is once again undermine the Western allies, undermine international
13:50security.
13:51And at the same time, he's relaunched his disastrous war in the Strait of Hormuz.
13:56He's got no plan for it.
13:57He's burning the world economy because he can.
14:01And we remember the threats against Greenland came after his threats and attack on Venezuela.
14:06The fact that he is threatening Cuba.
14:09The fact that he is undermining elections all over the Americas.
14:14We really need someone like Fidel Castro.
14:18Castro Fidel.
14:19Yes.
14:20That's how you can save your country.
14:24And in Europe, he remains a major threat, my friends.
14:28And he remains a major threat to Canada.
14:31And we can't ignore this.
14:32But I want to end on something that came out this week.
14:35There was a new poll that came out from the Alliance of Democracy.
14:39So this is a very serious international organization backed by NGOs and democratic think tanks around the world.
14:47And they do annual polling of the views of democratic nations.
14:51Yes, the democratic nation polling and where they sort out the first to second democratic nations and watch where nations
15:01stand.
15:02What they found now is that the majority of democratic people believe the greatest threat to peace and security in
15:10the world right now is USA.
15:13It's the world Donald Trump is creating for the United States.
15:16And, you know, it doesn't matter what happens if Donald Trump's gone, if J.D. Vance steps in.
15:22As long as the United States political, military, media, business communities willing to go along with this,
15:32we see the deterioration and the increasing isolation of the United States.
15:37And the mass of this is very true, true as hell, realignment of global forces of other countries realizing they
15:49can no longer trust the United States.
15:51Got to get the hell out from under this threat and find alternatives.
15:54This is what the prime minister's vision at Davos has been.
15:57This is why we see us signing up agreements with multiple other countries to get out from under the U
16:03.S. threat.
16:04But this poll done by the Alliance of the Democracy.
16:08This is what Israel is doing.
16:11Israel is leaving the hands, friendship hands of the USA and going for the Russia, China, India, that type of
16:21countries to hold friendship hands with them.
16:24He's had another really fascinating feature.
16:27It says that more and more countries are looking to China as a stable partner.
16:33So imagine that.
16:34Told ya, told ya.
16:35That Donald Trump's antics and threats to make America great again.
16:39China.
16:40His claims that he could just walk across the Canadian border whenever he felt.
16:44What it's done is it's secured the place of China as the dominant world power.
16:50Yes.
16:51Wow, Donald.
16:53You've done a great job for the American people.
16:54But, you know, as long as the American political establishment goes along with you, they are as responsible as you
17:01for this chaotic situation.
17:03They understand everything.
17:04I really know from my inner thoughts that they have some big strategy on their mind, whatever they're doing.
17:13Because no one understands except them.
17:17So, what does it mean for Canada?
17:19It means we cannot trust the United States.
17:22It means we cannot go along and hope that if we give up this or that in trade negotiations, we're
17:26going to get peace.
17:28They don't want peace.
17:29They want our country and they want us as a vassal nation.
17:32Literally.
17:33As long as we stand up and remain true, nor strong and free, we freak them out and they are
17:39thinking twice about crossing that border and we have to maintain that posture.
17:50We can never, ever let them think.
17:53They can just come at us and that we will give up.
17:55We will fight, fight, fight.
17:58Sorry, Donald.
17:59It makes a lot more sense when Canadians fight than when a loser and convicted criminal like you says it.
18:04So, my friends, that's where we're at now.
18:07There you have it, folks.
18:08Let me know what you think about that.
18:10Make sure you subscribe to Charlie Angus's YouTube channel, okay?
18:15Damn, okay.
18:16Right now, listen to this thing and we end up it.
18:19Shout out all the Maple Midas out there.
18:21We love you.
18:22We're grateful for you.
18:23We stand in solidarity with you.
18:26Right now, Canada, I'm Prime Minister Carney, leader of the free world.
18:31Undisputed.
18:32Grateful to have Midas Canada work with Charlie.
18:35Thank you very much.
