00:00a new plot to try and assassinate President Trump.
00:03The new intelligence comes as the U.S. is told Iran.
00:06The ceasefire between the two countries is over, but negotiations will continue.
00:10National correspondent Matt Galka picks it up from there.
00:13Possible plans for assassination right now.
00:16Iran can assassinate Donald Trump, the president of United States.
00:21A new warning from Israel based on their intelligence claims that Iran developed a new plot to try
00:27and kill President Trump.
00:29And the president seemed keenly aware of it this week while he was in Turkey for the
00:33NATO summit.
00:34I speak about it a lot.
00:35Listen first, what President Donald Trump has to say.
00:39Because, you know, the life of a president is very dangerous.
00:43I'm number one on the kill list for Iran, they're lovely people, I'm number one.
00:49He seemed to downplay being on the list Friday, telling the New York Post, I've been on their
00:53list for a long time, that's what we're dealing with.
00:56That's what President Donald Trump said to the New York Times, the New York Post.
01:01And that he's left instructions, if anything happens, to just literally bother the levels
01:06that they've never seen before.
01:08Trump's travel arrangements led to further speculation about security issues.
01:20He left Turkey on an older Air Force One, not the new Qatari gifted jet he's been bragging
01:25about.
01:26Multiple reports say it was because of issues surrounding the Iran threat, with anonymous
01:30sources telling outlets the new plane does not have all of the defense measures.
01:35Yes, the new plane does not have defense measures, that's why Trump uses the old one.
01:39The older one.
01:40The president also told the New York Post there was no fresh plan from Iran, and at least
01:45one congressman is questioning the Israeli intel.
01:47It's very hard to tell.
01:48I mean, certainly Iran has made the statement, as your guest said, since the killing of Soleimani,
01:54got over 60 years ago now.
01:58It's also easy to see that Israel would want to sort of buck up Trump, make him more willing
02:03to take on Iran more strongly.
02:05And Netanyahu has been, you know, pushing for that tougher stance, a more hawkish approach
02:10to Iran for quite some time.
02:13At the recent funeral for Iran's deceased Ayatollah.
02:16Saying the Trump must be killed.
02:18Kill Trump posters, that's what we're talking about.
02:21That's the hell.
02:23Crowds carried signs and banners reading, kill Trump.
02:27Some mourners chanted and called for revenge.
02:30Our goal is to prove to the world that we will not submit to oppression and tyranny.
02:35And that we will avenge the blood of our leader.
02:38The DOJ has prosecuted and charged multiple people for murder-for-hire plots against the
02:47president, all with Iranian ties.
02:50That includes as recently as March of this year, when a Pakistani national trained by
02:54the IRGC was convicted after trying to recruit hitmen to target U.S. officials.
02:59That's what really happened at that time, and that is a big threat to us.
03:03Including Trump.
03:07And Iran's chief negotiator told state media today that the country is prepared for an
03:13all-out defense if the U.S. breaks the peace deal signed last month.
03:17The memorandum of understanding, along with calling for the reopening of the Strait of
03:21Ormuz, Iran ready for all our defense, if U.S. breaks peace deal, and more negotiations on Iran's nuclear
03:31program put in place a ceasefire between Iran and the U.S. on all fronts.
03:35On Truth Social, just this morning, President Trump said Iran has been told the ceasefire was
03:40over, but talks would continue, and U.S. officials are speaking to the Associated Press saying they're
03:46demanding Iran make a public statement that the ships sailing through the Strait of
03:58the U.S. officials have been attacked since the memorandum was originally signed.
04:04We'll go to your national headlines now, where Graham Plattner
04:07has formally withdrawn from the Maine Senate race.
04:10Yeah, really? Oh my God.
04:13...to tell you the story this week. But the now former Democratic nominee's withdrawal
04:17paperwork was received today by the Maine Secretary of State's office.
04:22Plattner, who has faced several controversies during his candidacy, will watch this news on the next video. Thank you.
