00:01so i witnessed something over the weekend we were out on smith mountain lake and our friends have
00:10kind of a property that has a peninsula a point on it so you can see all three sides around
00:16the
00:17house and we're out there having dinner and all of a sudden we start hearing these motors
00:22and it sounds like a lawnmower the only thing i can say it sounds like and we're going are like
00:28five people cutting their grass at the exact same time like what's happening here and i look up and
00:36there are five not paragliders they're called paramotorists i think the the with the big fan
00:43on the back and like they have the parachute it's a parachute but they have the fan yes yeah okay
00:48and there's five of them and they're like dipping down and like putting their feet in the water
00:55then shooting back up and they're doing all these tricks loop-de-loops and everything else
00:59and we're like ah dinner in a show this is great that's awesome well about uh and i had videoed
01:05them a little bit and then i went and sat back down and i'm i'm eating i hear the the
01:12girl in
01:13front of me who is looking you know behind me essentially she goes oh my god and i turn around
01:20only to see one dude i mean just bite it crash and burn into the water into the water now
01:28the lake
01:28is down i don't know eight feet ten feet okay so i don't know if he went to like dip
01:35his feet down
01:36and hit rock where he thought there wasn't oh my god did he flip and stuff totally wiped out
01:42parachute in the water his uh motor on the on the land he's like half in half out oh okay
01:49so
01:50he's not fully in the water no he's like on the shoulder the parachute is in the water they were
01:55doing touch and goes yeah and the motor is on the land like he totally wiped out oh man and
02:00we're
02:00watching him and we're only i don't know 500 feet from this guy but there's water between us so can
02:07anybody get to him to check on him he's okay like we're we're we're looking at him and he's fine
02:12he's like up he's on his phone he's doing something to his pack you know he's pulling his parachute in
02:17okay and i go i want to go talk to him like will anybody go talk to him yeah because
02:22i have so many
02:23questions now one being are you okay yes are you okay he's clearly okay number two like what happens
02:30now your parachute is wet do you just walk back to wherever you're you came from do you call somebody
02:36somebody come pick him up right i don't know
