00:39when sean payton uh yeah took over in denver he had he had an idea that i don't know if

00:46it to ownership or not but seth that what why don't you describe this scenario he was pissed
00:52that belichick got shut out of another job i mean i think that like he just felt he always says

00:59bill should be in our league and so we're talking like you know late winter 2024 he's been in denver
01:09a full year and he basically was like what if i stepped down and was like assistant head coach
01:18ran the offense we hired bill and bill coached the team however many seasons it took for him to break
01:25the record and like you know i think that bill and sean are friends i don't think that they're like
01:31best friends but you know there's a mutual respect there and there's also a mutual trauma that they've
01:37had from working under bill parcells and so this idea was more than like a fleeting thought it was less
01:44than a full proposal at the end of the day it would have been really difficult um and very
01:50complicated to get done and i don't even know if belichick you know would have done that but i think
01:55that like it shows number one the respect level that he has for bill belichick and number two you know
02:03i i think that like it's very atypical while we're using that word for a sitting head coach especially
02:10one who you know has won more games than all but 10 people um to even consider relinquishing the throne
02:17so that's why i thought it was interesting and cool and you know he used some of bill's notes in
02:21the lead up to the bill's playoff game
