House Prosecutor Rep. Ysabel Zamora believes that the witness, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Agent John Mark Calilung, sufficiently answered all questions directed at him on the third day of the impeachment trial against Vice President Sara Duterte, on Wednesday, July 8.

Zamora also announced that the prosecution team will no longer conduct a redirect examination of Calilung, since he has answered the questions properly. (Video courtesy of House of Representatives)

00:00Hi, good afternoon everyone. So we have concluded our first week of trial. It is our third day.
00:08And today, what we had was the cross-examination of our witness, John Mark Calilong,
00:16the agent on case who investigated the threats, the utterances made by Vice President Sarah Zimmerman Duterte
00:26on November 23, 2024, at that online media briefing, which was live-streamed through Zoom and live-streamed on Facebook.
00:40So we heard the questions were founded by the defense to John Mark Calilong,
00:48which we believe were sufficiently answered by John Mark Calilong.
00:53So that's why our prosecution decided, or we decided, not to conduct any redirect examination anymore.
