00:01hey hey moon crew what's going on today we are playing barrier 1979 vector based game that ran
00:10on the cinematronics hardware platform back in the day you know i i always love learning about
00:16the actual history of how some of these things got made and back in 1979 uh cinematronics hired
00:24a 17 year old named rob patton to join and work on programming this game vector beam didn't have
00:30a game to ship after the last one and so they needed a product to sell and cinematronics sold
00:35them barrier and uh apparently in the words of tom skelly the owner he uh they laughed their asses
00:43off about it because frankly it's a pretty basic game but cinematronics did some of the other cool
00:48stuff that we enjoyed like starhawk which was uh one of the very first light gun like targeting style
00:55games out there and it was kind of a knockoff of star wars so looking forward to this one even
01:02if
01:02it's uh not the greatest game ever made or on a three by nine grid and we get a point
01:07every time
01:08we move forward we lose a point every time we move backward and we got to watch out for these
01:12diamonds
01:13so we'll be knocking it out here i'm thinking 100 point category you know these old arcade games
01:19they really like to keep the runs under like two minutes that seems to be what attracts other players
01:24to them so we'll just knock out 100 points which is harder than it seems it'll be game number 730
01:32on
01:32the road to 3000 you like old arcade games like subscribe join the adventure all right this one had a
