A 15-year-old girl suspected of stabbing a fellow student at a secondary school in Banting has been remanded for four days.

The remand order was issued by Magistrate Maslinda Selamat at the Telok Datok Magistrate's Court on Tuesday (July 7).

00:01A school stabbing that left a 15-year-old girl fighting for breath, now the suspect,
00:08also age 15, has been remanded for four days.
00:12The teen appeared before Magistrate Maslinda Selamat at the Telok Datok Court in Kuala Langat
00:18on Tuesday.
00:19Police say the suspect arrived at court in a police truck at around 8.08am and was seen
00:26leaving roughly an hour later.
00:28The remand application was made under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the standard
00:35provision allowing police to hold a suspect for further investigation.
00:39Lawyer S. Vijaswari Devi from the National Legal Aid Foundation, representing the suspect,
00:46confirmed her client is a person with disabilities, specifically living with autism.
00:51The injured student, a Form 3 pupil, remains at Hospital Banting.
00:56Her father says she suffered injuries to her lung, along with 16 stab wounds.
01:02Police say investigations are ongoing under Section 307 of the Penal Code for Attempted Murder.
