00:51astronaut-turned-Arizona Senator Mark Kelly showed his support for the Mexican soccer team
00:56by donning the team's national green jersey.

01:05with a room chock-full of Team Mexico supporters.

01:20is one of only a handful of times the senator has mentioned the World Cup,
01:24even as the U.S. team continues to compete,
01:27with an elimination match between USA and Belgium set for July 6.
01:31According to Fox News, Kelly stayed mum on social media about the World Cup
01:35until June 25th, when he posted a video confessing that soccer, quote,
01:39has never really been my thing.
01:41I got to admit something here.
01:43I've never been a really big fan of soccer or the World Cup.
01:48I know that puts me on the other side of most of the planet.
01:53I've watched the NFL, the NBA, a little bit of Major League Baseball and hockey and UFC,
01:59but soccer never really been my thing.

02:04I've watched a number of games, including our last game that we won.
02:09And today, I'm going to be watching us hopefully beat Turkey in this round.

03:07This isn't the first time Kelly has found himself in hot water.
03:10In May, War Secretary Pete Hegseth blasted the Arizona Democrat for, quote,
03:15blabbing during a TV interview about the Pentagon's weapons stockpiles.
03:19Information that Hegseth says was included during a classified Pentagon briefing.
03:24Kelly responded to Hegseth's blabbing accusation on social media, claiming that Hegseth said in a public hearing that it would
03:30take years to replenish some of the stockpiles.
03:33That back and forth also came amid a dispute over whether Hegseth could dock Kelly's rank and pay after the
03:39senator took part in a video with five of his Democratic colleagues in November, urging service members to refuse, quote,
03:46illegal orders.
03:47Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders.
03:51President Trump called the video seditious behavior and an FBI investigation followed.
03:56But a D.C. grand jury failed to indict any of the six on unspecified charges.
04:01In February, a D.C. federal judge blocked the Pentagon from pursuing what Kelly called a, quote, unconstitutional and legally
