00:01:13It was a superb lap from the Invicta Racing driver
00:01:17taking three poles now this season ahead of Alex Dunn and Cushmine.
00:01:22Well, that will be the grid for the feature race.
00:01:25Welcome, everyone, to Sprint Race Saturday here at Silverstone.
00:01:29Always an exciting prospect.
00:01:3221 laps coming up.
00:01:34Our 11th visit in 10 seasons to the home of British Motorsport.
00:01:39And what racing it always provides.
00:01:42Two DRS zones which will play a big part.
00:01:45One down the Wellington Straight which will be activated on lap two
00:01:47and then halfway round, Hanger Straight, we will also have DRS there.
00:01:53Leo Fornaroli won the sprint race here last year.
00:01:56A year before, it was Kimi Antonelli who will be next to win on Sprint Race Saturday.

00:02:02Alex Brundle alongside me as ever.
00:02:04And, Alex, a good position here for Gabriele Mini on pole position for the sprint race.
00:02:10The championship leader starts on pole after maybe not the qualifying session he would have wanted.
00:02:16Let me explain.
00:02:17We reverse the top ten for the sprint race.
00:02:19Gabriele Mini will start on pole as a result of qualifying tenth.
00:02:23Lead the championship on 108 points from 106.
00:02:28Nikola Solon is the driver who pursues him.
00:02:31Rotoma Miata finds his way to the front row of the grid in the high-tech
00:02:35and will be the main challenge for Mini as he makes his way down towards Abbey
00:02:40for the first time.
00:02:42Bright and sunny conditions over Silverstone.
00:02:45Don't get to say that a whole lot, do we, Chris?
00:02:48Track temp 41, air temp 24,
00:02:51and it's going to be a very exciting 21 laps of sprint race action.
00:02:55It really is.
00:02:56The chasing pack, if you like, in the championship.
00:02:58Rafa Kammerer and Alex Dunn,
00:03:01who are just shy of 30 points back from Gabriele Mini and Nikola Solon,
00:03:05are putting themselves on the front row tomorrow.
00:03:07But for the sprint race today, as Alex said,
00:03:09Gabriele Mini is put to pole position.
00:03:11So he'll want nothing less than full points in this one.
00:03:16Let's go through how they line up behind him.
00:03:19We'll go from back to front.
00:03:21Home race for Kian Shields,
00:03:24and he will be alongside his teammate, Emerson Cotipaldi,
00:03:27making his debut at this circuit.
00:03:30Laurence Van Hoopen seems to have lost his form slightly in qualifying since Canada.
00:03:34He's going to be alongside Nico Verone, last raced here in 2019.
00:03:39Then we have John Bennett, winner of the sprint race at Red Bull Wing.
00:03:43Martini Stenshaw, and that's now three races out of the top ten in qualifying.
00:03:47Noel Leon was on pole last week.
00:03:49Shows you how competitive this grid is.
00:03:52Colton Herter next to him, last here in 2016.
00:03:55Then we have Sebastian Montoya and Olly Gertha.
00:03:57Two drivers on the podium, one in the sprint race,
00:04:00Olly Gertha in the feature race.
00:04:02Then Mary Boyer, who won here in Formula 3 last year.
00:04:05He's alongside Dina Beganovic, another just seemingly struggling a bit in qualifying.
00:04:10This will be a front row tomorrow.
00:04:11Rafa Kamara will lead Alex Dunn, but for this one, they will go off row five.
00:04:17A lowest scoring sprint race.
00:04:18Kushmany and Roman Bilinski next to great qualifying for Roman Bilinski.

00:04:29And we have Joshua Dirksen and Rafael Villegomez, a podium for him last time out.

00:04:36Then on the front row, we have Rotomo Miata, his first top ten qualifying of the season.
00:04:41Last on the podium at Spa last season.
00:04:44Gabriele Mini, our championship leader, has had seven podiums in six rounds.
00:04:48Has been hugely consistent, the MP Motorsport driver.
00:04:51What challenge do he and the rest of the drivers have ahead, Alex, in this 21-lap sprint?
00:04:56Well, they're on the hard compound tyre.
00:04:58It's a compound jump this weekend.
00:05:00The softest tyre they qualified on.
00:05:01They jump over the medium.
00:05:03This tyre, very, very resilient to high-degradation racetracks.
00:05:08But I think it'll be a little bit cold here, Chris, in the early laps.
00:05:12They're going to have to get that tyre up to temperature as best they can on this warm-up lap,
00:05:17but are certainly going to be struggling, especially in the low-speed corners
00:05:21for the first couple of tours.
00:05:23Plenty of opportunity for overtaking around this circuit as well.
00:05:26I'm sure that will be on the mind of some of the drivers a little lower down the order.
00:05:31But let's go back to the top of the order and hear what the top three drivers had to say
00:05:35after qualifying yesterday, starting with third place, Rafael Villa-Gomez.
00:05:44No, there was a little bit more.
00:05:46You know, we didn't improve on the second set in the last sector.
00:05:50So definitely there was a little bit more.
00:05:52And seeing how close the field is, yeah, it hurts a little bit.
00:05:57P3, starting on the left side, everyone's thinking about the win, you know, at least the top three.
00:06:07Very positive quality session because we finished the P9.
00:06:10It's good.
00:06:11We have confidence for the Silverstone.
00:06:13I am also trying to maximize push and then finally we could finish the top ten.
00:06:19It's very positive.
00:06:21The goal is to win starting from P1.
00:06:24But realistically, you know, we see how everything evolves once again.
00:06:28If we can win, we have to try and win.
00:06:30But if the situation now it is with the degradation, you know, we can't,
00:06:33we have to still maximize everything.
00:06:35So, you know, starting always to win, of course.
00:06:40Gabriele Minnick, championship leader, will start this one on pole position.
00:06:45Ritomo Miata alongside our top four in the championship, all up there in the top ten as well.
00:06:52Minnick just making his way now down to Stowe.
00:06:54What will they be going through, Alex, on this formation?
00:06:58Getting brakes, if they can, up to temperature.
00:07:02It's a relatively long run down to the first real braking point here, which is at Village.
00:07:07But they have to jostle for position on their way down there.
00:07:11So the brakes are a very important thing to get right and thinking extremely hard
00:07:16about where they're going to position the car through the mid-corner of Abbey.
00:07:20Jack Crawford there, driver who's been behind the wheel of an Aston Martin Formula One car
00:07:24so far this year, and he's watching on for all the Formula Two action.
00:07:29Won the feature race here last year as well.
00:07:31Very tight at the top of the championship, isn't it?
00:07:34But this one for Gabriele Mini, just about trying to take those full points away
00:07:39as he'll be having to work his way through the field tomorrow.
00:07:42Yeah, exactly that.
00:07:43This is the opportunity to score for Gabriele Mini.
00:07:45He's got a lot of championship contenders in front of him on the grid tomorrow.
00:07:50Drivers like Solov, Camera and Dunn have had a reasonably good
00:07:54on Friday this weekend.
00:07:56So Gabriele Mini is going to try and take away the full points here if he can.
00:08:00Points down to eighth position in the sprint race.
00:08:03The shorter race of the two for the weekend.
00:08:05No mandatory pit stop at all.
00:08:09And as expected, absolutely everybody is on the harder compound attire.
00:08:13Nobody gambling for the soft.
00:08:15Sometimes we do see them throw on the soft if there's a safety car at the end.
00:08:18We've got the start to contend with first, Chris.
00:08:20Absolutely that. Round seven sprint race here at Silverstone.
00:08:24To the left of screen, Ritomo Miata to the right.
00:08:26Your pole sitter and championship leader, Gabriele Mini.
00:08:29And we are go for the sprint race here at Silverstone.
00:08:32Looked a good launch from Miata.
00:08:34Also looked one from Villa Gomez.
00:08:36He's going to take it around the outside of Miata.
00:08:39The Van Amessor driver up into P2 immediately.
00:08:42And there's challenges behind as well.
00:08:44Nicolas Solov, the Red Bull Junior, now trying to go through to third place.
00:08:47Goes all the way around the outside of Miata.
00:08:50Struggling through the first few corners.
00:08:52He's dropped down to P4.
00:08:54Sixth on the grid to third on the road.
00:08:55That was a brilliant start for Nicolas Solov.
00:08:58He was up against the pit wall as they made their way down to Abbey.
00:09:01But Gabriele Mini has managed to retain the lead.
00:09:04Super important for him.
00:09:05He'll now try and pull away in this lap to maintain that DRS gap.
00:09:08Rafa Kamara there in the yellow in Victor.
00:09:11Trying to go around the outside of Mari Boyer.
00:09:13Who's himself fighting with Dino Beganovic.
00:09:16They now come through Luffield for the first time.
00:09:19And make their way down towards Cobbs Corner.
00:09:21Got to be within one second to get the DRS.
00:09:24That'll be activated next time they go down Wellington straight.
00:09:26But Cushmine having to defend here from Roman Belinsky in that blue dance.
00:09:31On the way to Cobbs for the first time.
00:09:33Difficult to get through there.
00:09:34It's a big gap though, isn't it?
00:09:35Back from Gabriele Mini who has started to sprint away.
00:09:39A good middle sector here will see him escape the DRS.
00:09:41Which is available in two zones here in Silverstone.
00:09:44Oh, big wobble in the middle of Beckett's from Miata.
00:09:47Absolutely that.
00:09:48And it looks like he'll be punished for it.
00:09:50Joshua Dirksen, the first of those yellow Invictors now to the right of our screen.
00:09:54Is going to go down the outside towards Stowe.
00:09:56We've seen a couple of drivers go around the outside of Miata on this lap.
00:10:00Can Joshua Dirksen do the same on board with him?
00:10:03Yes, he can, is the answer.
00:10:05Great driving from the Paraguayan.
00:10:06Big bravery and big trust as well in Miata.
00:10:09Who's now going to have to defend from Miney down the inside of Vail.
00:10:13Not an opportunity there, but it looks to be the driver that has done so much.
00:10:19Super GT, super formula racing that's in trouble at the start of this race.
00:10:24Yeah, Montoya and Bennett have gone tumbling down the order as well.
00:10:27I wonder if something's happened between those in the final sector.
00:10:31Hearing there has been an incident selling the dummy Cushmine.
00:10:34That's a lovely move on Rotomo Miata, who's trying to hold it around the outside.
00:10:38But Miney will complete the move now coming through the loop.
00:10:41I can see out of the commentary box window here.
00:10:44There is a crash on what appears to be a car stopped on the start finish straight,
00:10:50which is your yellow flag issue.
00:10:53And there is a safety car out on track.
00:10:55Yeah, Montoya and Bennett dropped down the order.
00:10:58There's John Bennett.
00:10:59Some smoke around as well.
00:11:01So he's the car that's stationary on the start finish straight.
00:11:04A real shame for the British driver.
00:11:07We'll get another go at it tomorrow.
00:11:09And there is Sebastian Montoya as well.
00:11:12So both of them coming to a stop on the opening lap.
00:11:15Yes, it looks like they're coming together.
00:11:16I reckon that is the runoff area on the outside of Abbey for Sebastian Montoya.
00:11:22So maybe a little bit further along the racetrack than John Bennett is.
00:11:26Yeah, I think that's correct.
00:11:27He's just pulled over John Bennett on the start finish straight.
00:11:31So it looks likely we'll see the drivers come through pit lane behind the safety car
00:11:35as he's just making his way now over.
00:11:38Won the sprint race the last time out.
00:11:40A real breakthrough that for John Bennett.
00:11:42He'll be disappointed with this one.
00:11:44But it seems he's given the thumbs up that he's all okay, which is the main thing.
00:11:48Now, the two that battled for sprint race victory in Austria have now come together, unfortunately,
00:11:56on lap two of the sprint race at Silverstone.
00:11:59Watch Nikola Solov here.
00:12:00The Red Bull number six is going to lurch into the middle of the road
00:12:03and then get to the inside there of the Invicta machine.
00:12:08That's up to fourth position already.
00:12:10And then it is a great opportunistic move that he makes to grab third position
00:12:14around the outside of Rotoma Miata, who's struggling with the tyre.
00:12:18They're backling further back.
00:12:19That's the Zinipol Intrapuvizac up the inside of Mari Boyer.
00:12:23And this is the interesting start then.
00:12:25Great launch from Solov down the inside.
00:12:27Dirksen doesn't see him till the last minute and can't prevent him forcing his way through.
00:12:31And then has so much more confidence, it seems, through Abbey and around the outside of Village.
00:12:36And then this was the move, wasn't it, around the outside of Miata.
00:12:39Lovely stuff and good, good, respectful driving between the pair.
00:12:43Yeah, smart stuff in general from Miata, who had to defend hard in those early laps.
00:12:50It's Kamara going wide.
00:12:52Yeah, Stenshawn there, just going a little bit deep on the inside.
00:12:56Right, I think we might see what happened here, Alex.
00:12:58So there was gravel in the air and it looks like, ooh, actually,
00:13:03John Bennett was already off the road in a potential avoidance there.
00:13:07Where it goes off in the gravel in front and I have the back.
00:13:11What a shame, mate.
00:13:13So who's up the inside, is it Hurta up the inside of Montoya there?
00:13:17Yeah, yeah, it is.
00:13:18And John Bennett, I think just trying to preempt avoidance,
00:13:23has then gone to the outside, into the gravel, makes contact with Montoya
00:13:28and spins across the track and thankfully Keane Shields was wise to that one
00:13:32and was all the way to the left screen, preventing a further incident there.
00:13:38So a real shame for that.
00:13:39I think you're right, I think it was Hurta down the inside of Montoya
00:13:43coming through the final corner.
00:13:44So two cars appearing to have a collision weren't really in the same accident, were they?
00:13:48So Bennett's trying to avoid a car which, to be honest,
00:13:54would normally have spun back across the road in that circumstance.
00:13:57Has committed to the gravel and then, of course, visibility massively reduced.
00:14:01Montoya slows down ahead and there's contact between the two.
00:14:05Wrong place, wrong time, isn't it, for John Bennett there?
00:14:08Real shame.
00:14:09So safety car is out and Gabriele Mini already, I'm sure, will be planning that restart.
00:14:17Look, we're seeing our winners and losers to the left.
00:14:19So Solov, a great start which we saw on board.
00:14:22Kushmines looked very quick as well in the opening stages of the race,
00:14:25gaining three places already, Alex.
00:14:27Up six for Keane Shields, who started 22nd and last on the grid,
00:14:31has found some positions on the early laps as well.
00:14:35This safety car won't be beneficial, won't be considered beneficial for any of the drivers.
00:14:41They'll have to get this hard tyre up to temperature once more.
00:14:4542 degrees of track temp will help, but you could see that there were certain drivers
00:14:50really struggling to generate the tyre temperature.
00:14:53Gabriele Mini will be thinking,
00:14:56I just about got the gap that I needed to prevent DRS being activated,
00:15:02and he'll have to do that all over again in the lap where it is deactivated
00:15:06after each and every safety car to try and keep himself safe from that system.
00:15:10So you say some drivers may have got that temperature into the tyre than others.
00:15:14Is that just all through formation lap and how they've approached that one?
00:15:18That's helped?
00:15:19That's car setup as well.
00:15:21You can have a car that loads up the tyre earlier on,
00:15:24tends to come with a little bit more degradation later in the race.
00:15:27So that is the compromise, and certainly if you've undercooked the tyre slightly,
00:15:34you can end up with difficulty off the restarts that we then normally pay back later on in the race.
00:15:41But when you get a safety car, of course, you get a two-for-one deal on race starts,
00:15:47and you don't get any extra degradation either.
00:15:50Absolutely that. And Mini will be hoping to leave Villa-Gomez behind here and create a battle,
00:15:56if you like, for second place, and try and break that DRS within a lap, if he can,
00:16:02and leave the others fighting behind.
00:16:04That's taken a podium this year. Rafael Villa-Gomez, third position in the sprint race in Austria.
00:16:11Of course, Gabriele Mini found the top step in the feature race back in Miami,
00:16:16multiple other podiums as well. He knows very well how to race for the lead in the leading positions
00:16:23in Formula 2 machinery. Nikola Solov will be looking one place ahead to his championship rival.
00:16:31Our opportunity, of course, for Nikola Solov to take that championship lead this weekend
00:16:34is well within point of contention to do so. Only two points between them at the top of the series.
00:16:39Yeah, it's very likely, in a sprint race, we can get the top two in the championship,
00:16:44in the order they sit, going wheel to wheel. Alex Dunn down in 10th place, has just lost a position.
00:16:50Kammerer seemed to lose a few places after he went wide there with Stenshawn. Now down in 14th,
00:16:56so he could be one to watch on this restart, making his way through.
00:17:00And then points for that position for Kammerer, so he'll be looking to make progress if he can.
00:17:05It's ever hard to overtake here, or carries a risk to overtake here at Silverstone.
00:17:11The last thing he needs is any kind of damage, but realistically, it's points or nothing for
00:17:17these drivers as they move through into the second half of this Formula 2 season.
00:17:21Looks like we're going round again then, Chris, with a reasonable clear up to do.
00:17:26They're still putting gravel back in the gravel bed out on the outside of club,
00:17:33so that'll be why that they're waiting a little bit longer.
00:17:35Yeah, Marshall's getting to work there just to clear that gravel on the circuit.
00:17:40Just going back to Kammerer then, Alex. I mean, as the driver who's going to be starting on pole
00:17:47tomorrow, will it be on his mind? Don't want to take too many risks and end up getting a penalty.
00:17:52That could affect that pole position tomorrow.
00:17:54Absolutely that, or indeed if a penalty does come, you try and serve it as quickly as possible.
00:18:00We know this year that penalties can play out across both races at the discretion of the race director.
00:18:07So there's a launch off the kerb, which is really what finishes Sebastian Montoya's race of the serrated
00:18:13kerb on the outside of club there. And John Bennett just totally unsighted, having committed to the
00:18:20outside to try and miss the incident. Yeah, and it was a bit of pouty, wasn't it?
00:18:24They're just trying to doing well to avoid it. You can see some of the drivers having all the dusts
00:18:31thrown into the path of their car, but a real shame. The two drivers who put on a grandstand finish,
00:18:38didn't they, at the Red Bull Ring sprint race, was a really good fight between them, with this man
00:18:43here taking the win on the final lap. Sure did. Nature of Formula 2. One weekend grandstand finish,
00:18:52next weekend you finish in the grandstand. Yeah, precisely that.
00:18:58Yeah, we don't get it bad, but I'm feeling you very nervous, more than normal. So I don't know why,
00:19:06that's my, just my feeling, just, I just tell you my vision. Okay, so please stay calm and focus.
00:19:15Yeah, happy, happy, happy. Chill out, Gabby. Say MP, basically.
00:19:22It's not the big points race that's coming tomorrow, but he'll be looking, if he can, to get the best
00:19:28possible points out of this one. Can a long safety car have an effect on a driver like this at
00:19:34all,
00:19:35when they've got a bit more time, I guess, to think about surroundings and situation they might be in?
00:19:42Yeah, especially for a driver like me, who is in that close battle into the second half,
00:19:48gives you way too much time to think about it, but he's been in this position before. Sometimes you
00:19:54just turn up to a weekend and feel more nervous than usual. You know, all human athletes doing their
00:20:00best. Drivers have nervous days, off days, happy days, days where the flow comes easy.
00:20:06The team just trying to manage his mental state, if at all possible, and safety car looks rolling
00:20:12through the pit lane again. They are still cleaning up the front straight here. So yeah, this is going
00:20:19to be a really long safety car and going to have a significant effect, Chris, on the tire temperature
00:20:23now with the drivers. Exactly that. So when we get started again, it will be a case of who can
00:20:30get
00:20:30the temperature through the quickest. And it could, would we also see a change of approach here to the
00:20:35race, Alex? Because essentially we are now going to be doing less laps at full speed, so less laps to
00:20:40manage those tires. Yeah, although the management required is relatively limited anyway on this tire
00:20:47around here. You've got to look after the left front at Silverstone. That is a, that's a factor. Um, but
00:20:53they would have been relatively close up to flat out throughout the race distance. Uh, the tire will
00:20:59fall away, but not as much as some other places. So Dirksen and Miata, Chris, have been noted for
00:21:04leaving the track and gaining advantage, as have camera and stencil. So that'll be the moment we saw in
00:21:10replay, uh, with camera taking to the runoff area on the apex of club. Um, so, uh, we'll see if
00:21:17they,
00:21:17either those transpire into a penalty. Certainly one to monitor, uh, the marshals making their way
00:21:24back. Looks like we could maybe get going this time. Of course, going back to that, uh, mini team radio,
00:21:31we are at the halfway point of the season and it, it will start to settle in more for Gabriele
00:21:35Mini that he really is in a fight here to win the formula two title. So I'm sure as the
00:21:42season goes
00:21:42on, that will have more and more of an effect. All of a sudden it starts to look possible,
00:21:47doesn't it? And each driver deals with that in their own way. Um, the team need to be around these
00:21:54young drivers. They, so often the team personnel have been in this position more than the drivers
00:21:58have. They've seen the various characters and each one of them of course is different and will deal
00:22:04with that in exactly their own way. Safety car ending this lap like six of 21. So we're still
00:22:09going to get a decent amount of racing here. Uh, the shakeup will be who gets this tire back
00:22:14into its temperature window earliest, and then we'll get our first real feel for the race pace
00:22:21over a stint of these drivers. Absolutely that, uh, after one lap complete, DRS should be enabled
00:22:26down at the Wellington straight. That will all be in the hands of a race control, right? Safety car,
00:22:32uh, is going to power its way off and Gabriele Mini. It's now over to him, Alex, to do the
00:22:37restart. Yeah, it's a tricky restart here. Got that big braking zone for the bail. Do you choose
00:22:42to take them all the way to there or do you decide to go earlier out of stow? It's a
00:22:47very slow roll
00:22:48through the mid corner of that corner for Gabriele Mini. And now he's going to get his foot down and
00:22:54we
00:22:54are back going here at Silverstone for the sprint race round seven of the season. Points to your top
00:23:00eight and it's Gabriele Mini, championship leader, who will lead us round club and take us on to the
00:23:06Hamilton straight. We are green once again here at Silverstone onto lap seven of 21. It's Mini leading
00:23:13Villa Gomez, Solov, Dirksen and Maini. Everyone now back at full power as we head through the first two
00:23:20corners and up towards village for the first time. Looks like Dino Beganovic trying to line up a move
00:23:25onto center pole. Uh, Intrapuva Zak and they were side by side there in the background. Yellow flag is
00:23:31out and I think Kian Shields has lost a few places. Maybe Oli Goethe as well as they now head
00:23:37down
00:23:37Wellington for the first time of this restart, Alex. Spicy move to the inside for Solov at the loop.
00:23:43He looks to try and be trying to clear Villa Gomez if at all possible. That's, uh,
00:23:47Belinsky, uh, under pressure then from Intrapuva Zak. He's trying to make it all the way around the
00:23:51outside, can he? Yes, he can. Unbelievable into Luffield. Great stuff that from Intrapuva Zak. So
00:23:57that's a change for P7 and Belinsky didn't have to look in his mirror as he'll see his teammate Dino
00:24:02Beganovic there. Alex Dunn right there as well as they now head down towards Copps. First time on this
00:24:08restart. Belinsky isn't going to go all the way around the outside, is he? He'll give it a go and
00:24:12to Tandapuva. Intrapuva Zak having absolutely none of that. P7 is his and Dino Beganovic now wants P8.
00:24:19Has to blend out of it on the outside of Copps. Intrapuva Zak keeps the position and Belinsky under
00:24:24pressure now from Beganovic. He'll be looking to move into the points if he possibly can.
00:24:29Mini's not managed to clear away from Villa Gomez but the big battle appears to be behind. No DRS
00:24:35of course this time around. They have to wait a lap for that. Yep, Solov was thinking about it,
00:24:40wasn't he? There on Villa Gomez but he knows DRS is coming. Dirksen right with them as well as is
00:24:46Miney. Five for the lead. All split by two seconds. The gap then may come between Miney and Miata who
00:24:53will

00:25:00trying to put a gap between himself and Villa Gomez. Solov though looks up for it in third place. Looks

00:25:06could be the first one to launch an attack. Yeah, it's only 0.6 back. Not going to be enough
00:25:10for
00:25:11Mini. That's a good lap from Villa Gomez to keep himself in touch. The first DRS will be available
00:25:17this time around. It has been enabled to actually keep Villa Gomez close to Gabriele Mini. A gaggle
00:25:23encompassing. Camera are making their way through the loop. Yep, stench on camera round two. That was there
00:25:28as camera 13th place for him. Down Wellington straight we go and Miata could be in a little bit of
00:25:35trouble
00:25:36with Intrapubazac right behind him. Miata seems to have lost the DRS. Someone just going a little bit
00:25:43slow ahead. Bit of a lock up I think that was from Noel Leon and now he's got camera to
00:25:49deal with behind
00:25:50as we make our way down towards Copse. Solov dropping back just slightly from Villa Gomez there. Dirksen
00:25:56right there in fourth place. Yeah, Villa Gomez has done a really good job to hold the DRS. You're watching
00:26:01Colton Herta attack Martinius Stenshaw and that's over 14th place. But out front Villa Gomez has
00:26:08managed to keep himself in this one by staying in proximity but Solov will have the DRS as well
00:26:15and more and more pressure from behind from Joshua Dirksen who's had a good lap this time around. Yeah,
00:26:19it looks like a bit of an untidy exit from Villa Gomez and Solov might punish him for it.
00:26:24Around the outside he goes at Stowe. What a move from the young Bulgarian and Nikola Solov has made
00:26:30his way into second place. The Lando stand would have enjoyed that one Alex. Outstanding stuff from
00:26:35Solov once again so much bravery around the outside of Stowe. Manages to find the grip in the mid-corner
00:26:41and just puts the throttle on and trusts he's going to have the track to play with on the exit.
00:26:46The next
00:26:46driver he can see ahead is leaning the championship from him by two points. Absolutely that this battle is
00:26:52really heating up. Nikola Solov will now want to go and chase. Mini leading the way. Villa Gomez has
00:26:59Dirksen behind Miney then next along who's had some really good form over the last few rounds
00:27:05has ART's Kush Miney and he is right in this battle as they go down Wellington once more this lap
00:27:119 of 21
00:27:12and Mini now being told we have to push because guess who's behind? It's your championship rival Nikola Solov.
00:27:181.3 seconds the gap so DRS is not going to be available. Let's see what's going on here and
00:27:26this
00:27:26was the moment I think we saw for Kian Shields wasn't it on the restart? Yeah Oli Gerther and that
00:27:32Orange MP involved. This looks like Stenshawn and Noel Leon going side by side. Camera might
00:27:39punish them on the exit and there we go. There we go so Stenshawn there just finding the edge of
00:27:46the
00:27:46circuit after going side by side with Leon. Still only 13th and camera at this stage doesn't look to be
00:27:53an opportunity to score points for him but we'll see how things progress as he continues on. Right
00:28:00Joshua Dirksen up the road after Villa Gomez who's now dropping back through this leading pack. Yeah and uh
00:28:07Interpuvizak I think is about to launch an attack on Miata as well who does not have DRS. We'll keep
00:28:13an eye
00:28:13on that one as Miata just running a little bit wide through Stowe in towards Vale. Now we come
00:28:20and you can see Dirksen in the yellow Invicta right behind Villa Gomez. Maini next along starting to settle
00:28:28down just a little bit. It's lap 10 of 21 and we have to keep an eye on that gap
00:28:34between Solov and Mini,
00:28:35Alex to see if that starts to come down. Just over a second for now. Maini a tenth quicker than
00:28:41him last
00:28:41time around but it's very close. Both of them three tenths quicker than this little battle. So Villa Gomez
00:28:48is now being bothered by Joshua Dirksen slowing the pair of them down to the tune of around three
00:28:54tenths of a second. They need not to lose touch here but in a way for Dirksen if Villa Gomez
00:28:59does it's
00:29:00going to make his life much easier in terms of an overtake. Ten second penalty coming to Stenshawn.
00:29:06That was for the side-by-side action at the Vale there with camera at the start of the race.

00:29:20Luffield we go through Woodkir up towards Copse and this is a battle. We could see some changes in.
00:29:27Intrapuva Zak who's been going really well over the last couple of rounds trying to get past Miata.
00:29:33Yeah something a real fighting performance here isn't he driver he's 14th in the championship fifth
00:29:39in the last feature race out but he's coming to form at this phase of the season. Miata
00:29:45on the flip side of things has been struggling ever so slightly from the front row of the grid in
00:29:49this
00:29:49sprint race and Intrapuva Zak will now have DRS against him unopposed and surely a considerable
00:29:55over speed down to Stowe. Yep going around the outside good stuff that from Intrapuva Zak won his
00:30:01first F3 race here last season let's see another move around the outside shall we and it's from our
00:30:06pole sitter for tomorrow Rafa camera going around the outside of Noel Leon good driving from the
00:30:12Brazilian. Almost two lanes aren't there around the outside of Stowe and with drivers being so brave as
00:30:19they make their way down there. Brilliant stuff for the fans who are out in big numbers to watch the
00:30:26Formula 2. Here's one the crowd here at Silverstone always really enjoy Mini and Solov it seems a stable
00:30:34gap between them at 1.4. Villa Gomez staying with Solov will want to try and go with him if
00:30:40he is to go and
00:30:40catch Mini and this is further back this is Miata now with Belinsky uh behind driver who's done plenty
00:30:48of racing here around the UK and the Polish driver closing in now on Miata who appears to be struggling
00:30:55Alex. Yeah initially it looked like he just didn't quite get the tire up to temperature but it looks
00:31:00like he doesn't quite have the pace in general teammate Hertha down in 15th place so not high-techs weekend
00:31:07maybe uh looking on the flip side of the coin Joshua Dirksen in an Invicta which we know always has
00:31:14great race pace uh looking back at uh Mindy though at the moment six tenths of a second between those
00:31:20two
00:31:20so uh it's sort of a five-way a four-way battle in fairness uh from Solov backwards but uh
00:31:29the battle
00:31:30ebbing and flowing between these drivers there you can see it look that's them strung out uh down the uh
00:31:36down the hangar straight Gabriele Mini having made good his escape. Roman Belinsky the first of those
00:31:42blue dams trying to make a move on Miata uh who is himself trying to stay with Intrapubizac but I
00:31:48have
00:31:49to say Intrapubizac has looked very quick in the first half of this race and now trying to put some
00:31:55distance between himself and Miata as we see the two teammates coming through currently fighting for the
00:32:01last points available in this sprint race points down to your top eight into the second half of
00:32:07the race we now go let's jump on board with Beganovic. Difficulty at Silverstone always in following
00:32:14through these high-speed corners you lose a lot of front end downforce from following the car ahead
00:32:19although you do get dished out a little bit of a tow Ferrari Junior Dino Beganovic will be taking all
00:32:24of
00:32:24that he can possibly get in pursuit of a single point to do that he's got to pass his teammate
00:32:31really the pack not slowing uh at this stage of the sprint race in the way that we would often
00:32:38see
00:32:38we had a bit of safety car at the start we see Belinsky with a big lock up and a
00:32:43move potentially on
00:32:44Miata that doesn't quite work out um but we've had a bit of safety car at the start but really
00:32:48they're
00:32:49pushing flat out here yeah side of impatience there from Belinsky wasn't it there you see your life
00:32:54points just four between Mini and Solov they're one and two uh on at the road and 1.4 between
00:33:00them
00:33:00currently think Belinsky can see Intratubazak escaping ahead and wants to try and get through as he rips
00:33:08the tear off off has to be careful of his teammate behind though at the same time Alex you're going
00:33:13to
00:33:13take a lottery as to which tire you wanted to lock up around Silverstone left front would be the one
00:33:18you
00:33:18hoped you didn't get that's the one that does the most work and that's the one he's going to be
00:33:22suffering with surely a flat spot that'll be vibrating is he going to be brave again got DRS
00:33:27over speed on Miata Miata has been under a lot of pressure throughout this race defending there
00:33:33into Stowe and gets a four run through the corner and that's going to allow Belinsky to challenge down
00:33:40towards Vale great view this back from Miata is Belinsky going to do the undercut coming through
00:33:47club not quite able to do it and his teammate right there behind currently watching on will now want
00:33:52to get involved as we go on to lap 13. Miata just trying to put his wing in as much
00:33:58race track as
00:33:58possible isn't he at this stage he doesn't have the speed quite uh to accurately defend that position
00:34:05although he does so down into the veil uh once more but he's going to be under pressure to give
00:34:11you a
00:34:11feel these guys are circulating one and a half seconds slower than Gabriele Mini that gives
00:34:16you a feel for how much slower they are and how much Miata's struggling well uh it looks like Alex
00:34:22Dunn the Alpine junior is closing in as well isn't he so i think this gap uh this battle will
00:34:28extend all
00:34:29lock up front left for Alex Dunn that could be a costly mistake for him in terms of ties going
00:34:35forward
00:34:35camera next behind also trying to close in so it's a this is a group that is starting to grow
00:34:42as we go
00:34:42through the laps another lucky winner of uh locking up the tire he needs the most Van Hoopen has been
00:34:50noted for a fourth start moving before the signal so uh we'll see if that comes to anything you say
00:34:58about
00:34:58locking the front left Alex what is it about that that will be so punishing for them locking up that
00:35:04front
00:35:04needed in cops needed in becketts needed in luffield needed in village uh it's quite it's quite a big
00:35:11it's quite a big list and what is a list as well is Miata's woes because it's going to be
00:35:16around the
00:35:16outside for Belinsky who clears him into stay Belinsky through uh and that will be an additional point
00:35:22for him and now began a bitch uh will want to get through as well let's jump on board with
00:35:27the Swedish
00:35:28driver coming through club now and we'll see his teammates up ahead and want to try and use the DRS
00:35:37to get through it's just been a difficult race for a high-techs Rotomo Miata let's see if Viganovic will
00:35:43pull off a move as they head up towards village and in towards the loop it looks like this could
00:35:47be it
00:35:48Viganovic maybe gonna go for it he's gotta get a move on because Dunn is right there behind as well
00:35:54and it's closed in and he's bought camera with him Viganovic knows that and selling the dummy in
00:35:59towards the loop great move there from Viganovic clean and tidy Alex Dunn next in the queue sensible
00:36:04stuff from Miata but he's going to be punished uh on his way down to Brooklyn's Alex Dunn is right
00:36:09in
00:36:10the wheel tracks he's going to shape to the inside Miata goes with him but gives Dunn and Karl's width
00:36:14and he takes the place all the way on the white line wasn't he there Dunn to get that move
00:36:19complete
00:36:20and now the dam's teammates sit ahead Miata is going to try and fight back around the outside
00:36:25Dunn having absolutely nothing of it camera next behind in 11th here they go down towards Cops and
00:36:32we'll have some more side by side Rotomo Miata really trying to fight this one but just struggling
00:36:39for pace currently camera next then in that number one yellow Invicta our poll sitter for tomorrow
00:36:45don't look now or do if you want to but Nikola Solov has made his way within DRS of Gabriele
00:36:50Mini for the lead of the race eight tenths of a second is the critical number and you can see
00:36:55him now starting to home in on the leader yeah absolutely right he's really getting close let's
00:37:02see what camera can do to Miata trying to get down the inside not quite able to complete the move
00:37:08but
00:37:08the two championship leaders are getting very close together aren't they Solov will have DRS going
00:37:14down Wellington straight and camera lunge into the veil there Miata who gives him the racing room
00:37:19not quite able to complete the move but uh camera you can almost sense that he is going to go
00:37:25for this
00:37:26next time they head down towards Brooklands when he has DRS might even do it sooner than that but uh
00:37:31going down towards Brooklands this driver here will have the DRS he's been very patient hasn't he Solov
00:37:38now really starting to get his foot down and Gabriele Mini is going to have to keep an eye on
00:37:43his mirrors
00:37:43still doing 45s these two best laps of the race are in the 44 so still a significant amount of
00:37:50pace
00:37:51Cushmine trying to go around the outside of Joshua Dirksen a bit of a lockout from him but
00:37:56Miney sends it all the way around the outside brilliant stuff there from Cushmine at Brooklands and
00:38:02that puts him up into fourth place great stuff from Miney who knows how to win these races has been
00:38:08a
00:38:08winner already this year and had to get a bit robust there down towards Brooklands let's see if Dirksen can
00:38:15do anything back down the hangar straight but the battle out front is the one we really need to be
00:38:20seeing
00:38:20because Solov is closing on Miney and now will surely be planning his attack he was half a second
00:38:27quicker than him last time around Cushmine drives himself into the top five can Solov drive himself
00:38:33into the lead Intrapruva's act closing in on this battle as well
00:38:42that'll be another gap to keep an eye on but let's jump on board then with Nikola Solov second in
00:38:48the
00:38:48championship looking at first in the championship as we get ready for lap 16 this is going to heat up
00:38:54yeah cuts the first curve of Bale and then the concertina effect as they make their way through
00:39:00club uh in full flow but uh Solov will be looking ahead thinking what can i do uh about this
00:39:07man half
00:39:07a second as they cross the stripe looking at the way the uh the sectors play out for them i
00:39:14think the
00:39:15opportunities are down towards brooklands or down towards stowe we've seen that outside line work
00:39:20out for solov already in this race if he indeed has the pace to uh create a delta enough to
00:39:27pass
00:39:27many ganovich ahead of belinsky he's got alex done behind these guys have dropped back uh miata and camera
00:39:34have dropped back as they're battling and now the two leaders right together this the closest they have
00:39:39been in this race nikola solov has drove a really good race from p6 getting himself up to the podium
00:39:45places very quickly and now he's completed the chase on gabriele mini down towards cops we go and
00:39:51mini knows that the pressure is there and he'll already be thinking about that hanger straight alex
00:39:57kamara jumps miata but we're staying with this one and indeed you've got some battles more towards the
00:40:02rear uh of this top five dirkson clearing in trapuva zach but we're watching nikola solov trying home in
00:40:09on gabriele mini there'll be another drs zone available as if he gets the exit right from beckett
00:40:14mini look neat and tidy has solov got enough tire and enough speed mini certainly thinks so moving
00:40:20around to break the toe and nikola solov closing in closing in to the outside we go on board with
00:40:26nikola solov trying to go past his championship rival they're right together coming out of stone now in
00:40:32towards the veil are we going to see a move from nikola solov here gabriele mini knows this is going
00:40:37to be a tough defense because nikola solov looking very quick in that campus ushered to the curb
00:40:43by the italian the bulgarian red bull junior needs to try something different as we move on to lap 17
00:40:50that was the move that worked for him before but minnie's having none of it needs to get it done
00:40:54quickly because catching in the background is rafael villa gomez and right on cue there you can see
00:41:01the effect that battle had over the course of just one lap alex villa gomez is getting close he just
00:41:08makes a look up there villa gomez through the loop but you can see he is now really trying to
00:41:13push
00:41:14as the two leaders battle away intrapu vizak is cleared joshua dirksen for fifth position the two
00:41:19leaders go again there's not quite enough is there for solov down towards brooklands but uh the battle
00:41:26appears to be towards stowe uh but uh this is the moment uh that we were just told about intrapu
00:41:32vizak
00:41:33uh around the outside of luffield's corner with a little bit of extra grip does that work out yes
00:41:39it does dirksen's very fair with him on the exit and then they're going to run down and continue to
00:41:44battle down to cop's corner where the uh where the move is finished fans i would have loved that one
00:41:50great racing between the pair of them right here we go again solov needs to get a good exit out
00:41:56of
00:41:57chapel and down the hangar straight to try and launch an attack on mini gap looks similar to what
00:42:02it was last time but nikola sort of now with a bit more knowledge on what gabrielli mini is going
00:42:08to
00:42:08do up towards stowe here he goes to the inside but mini getting his elbows out defending from solov
00:42:15meanwhile villa gomez closing in all the time in the background as they head to veil once more
00:42:20hanging in there isn't he villa gomez and the more these two battle the more is going to be part
00:42:24of the battle for the lead of the race solov tried the outside faded to the inside wasn't quite close
00:42:30enough that time around and looks to be struggling more with that front tire having followed mini now
00:42:36for a couple of laps running out of race to do it let's see if he can find another opportunity
00:42:41to pass
00:42:42mini mega in this first sector and he's keeping solov the bay down to brooklyn's and i think does
00:42:47villa gomez have the drs kush miney is uh really going along well could be one to watch come the
00:42:54very end of the race if we are to see some battles commencing but uh he's looking very quick in
00:42:59fourth
00:42:59right down wellington straight we go solov getting closer no drs for villa gomez but uh it's going to be
00:43:05take three between these two down hangar straight next time doesn't even look this time
00:43:10miney you're absolutely right chris was half a second quicker than this leading battle uh last
00:43:17time around and has taken another tenth out of them in the first sector so uh he is very quickly
00:43:24going to become part of this battle you can see him in the background in his alpine livery machine
00:43:29he will be praying that this race uh just lasts some more and more laps so he can use all
00:43:35of that
00:43:35pace and arrive on a potential podium absolutely that villa gomez once again he's around a tenth away
00:43:41from getting drs and once he gets that the race will change for him completely solov doesn't look
00:43:46as close this time uh down hanger straight gabrielle mini taking no chances though trying to break the toe
00:43:52as they head down to stow and this time solov not able to close in down the straight alex is
00:43:58he out of
00:43:58and this is a lot of ideas here nikola solov gabrielle mini uh appeared to see him off that time
00:44:03around
00:44:04and has uh got clean air over the nose to manage those front tires you can see the chasing pack
00:44:10behind
00:44:11uh now led by tozinpol intrapuva zak who has uh made that move tremendous battle we saw through the middle
00:44:19section of the lap uh and he's now lapping at a very similar pace slightly slower than the leaders so
00:44:26is the driver who's going to be under pressure for that fifth place but uh decent position so far for
00:44:31him dino beganovich trying to make some moves right behind joshua dirksen closing in on the brakes as
00:44:38they come through village now up towards the loop and chapuva zak is going to have to try and hold
00:44:44off the
00:44:45challenges of these guys he's threatening to break the drs is in chapuva zak let's see if dirksen's
00:44:51held on to it he has he's within a second this is on board though with beganovich the ferrari junior
00:44:58trying to line up a move there and uh dirksen towards the last minute knew that the move could
00:45:04be coming and covered it off not an overtake but just trying to be the biggest problem possible
00:45:09uh in the mirrors of dirksen if he possibly can this boyer and leon in the fight for 12th oh
00:45:18and i don't think leon really knew that boyer was that close to him went to turn into the corner
00:45:24i think to get a switchback move and a bit of his front wing coming off many just uh a
00:45:32little bit of uh
00:45:32the car looked a little bit unsettled coming through maggots and beckett's but uh such a far section of the
00:45:38circuit solov using the drs once again to get closer is he waiting i wonder for the final lap
00:45:45here alex did he just take a breather to come back on the attack beganovich no breather for him he's
00:45:51going to go around the outside of joshua dirksen tries to do it and side by side on the exit
00:45:56beganovich
00:45:57will complete this into the veil hard on the brakes he goes dirksen he's going to return the
00:46:02favor around the outside but beganovich that's really good driving gets himself up to p6 yeah
00:46:07beganovich had the inside line there and uh therefore can use all of the road thought
00:46:12dirksen was fair with him on the outside of stowe but uh left him with cars with and beganovich took
00:46:17it on his way down to the veil and now it's going to be joshua dirksen under pressure from roman
00:46:21belinski yellow flag out on track and that's for a spin stenshaw uh there not for the first time
00:46:29in some drama coming down towards the veil that giving him a 10-second penalty after his side-by-side
00:46:35action with camera meanwhile dirksen uh not a good exit from the corner and now belinski is going to
00:46:41be alongside as they head down towards brooklyn's and that is move complete for roman belinski and
00:46:47other points dirksen a grief there on the radio he'll be thinking i left you uh a cars width on
00:46:53the outside of stowe there and then the same was uh was not given on the exit of club this
00:47:00is a
00:47:00different incident and that's why stention found himself uh facing backwards yeah helped rounds by nico
00:47:05verone who was in his own battle with colton herter and then colton herter had nowhere to go but to
00:47:12uh
00:47:12help stench on face back in the right direction again and uh i think van hoopen gained two or
00:47:18three places there right back to the leaders nikola solov has taken a breather and now he's
00:47:23going to launch another attack mini knows it defending down towards stowe here we go all the
00:47:28way around the outside for solo but you will not do that on gabrielle mini on this lap this is
00:47:33going
00:47:33to be quite a grandstand finish the two championship leaders going head to head here at silverstone
00:47:39alex mini's just too quick for the outside lane at stowe isn't he you just cannot get quite all the
00:47:45way around the outside of him solov and i don't think there is another trick up the sleeve unless
00:47:50he embeds one on the final lap biller gomez now close enough uh across the line to take drs on
00:47:56nikola
00:47:56solov as well eight tenths of a second was the interval we'll see if he manages to retain the
00:48:00position as he makes his way onto the back straight big lock up for mini chris that's going to change
00:48:05things isn't it is that's the moment that loses gal for the early mini this race win big lock up
00:48:11coming
00:48:11through village and now nikola solov right behind as he will get drs here down the wellington straight
00:48:17the two championship leaders will be side by side towards brooklyn's on the final lap of the race and
00:48:22nikola solov going all the way around the outside and that is race lead on the last lap for solo
00:48:28villa gomez right there in third place as well the lockup gave the proximity then solov made it happen
00:48:34down at brooklyn's and mini looks wide again through the exit of luffield but it'll be mini
00:48:39that gets the drs on the hanger straight for the last time can he stay close enough through cop's corner
00:48:44to take the position back big oversteer on the apex of nine yeah and now he could be punished
00:48:50further because villa gomez is right there and wants to get down the inside coming to maggots and beckett's
00:48:56gabrielli mini a very costly mistake on the final lap and you can see they will now be absolutely
00:49:02level on point solov ahead due to the fact he has more race wins right looking in the background you
00:49:09can see villa gomez is getting closer does he have anything to get by gabrielli mini don't think so
00:49:16through stowe but what about going into the veil could there be an attack out front though he just keeps
00:49:22winning this season doesn't he nikola solov it will be back to back race wins for him the campos racing
00:49:28driver coming through the final corner and once again he will be on the top step of the podium as
00:49:34he wins the silverstone sprint race gabrielli mini his title rival second place another podium for him
00:49:42that's eight podiums now in seven rounds and rafael villa gomez back to back sprint race podiums for him
00:49:48what a race four becomes five victories for nikola solov what an outstanding drive what a great race
00:49:55that was to watch the two championship contenders going head to head on sprint saturday solov comes out
00:50:02on top with an electric move finishing the same order they did in that feature race solov and mini and
00:50:09that
00:50:09will mean a huge amount to him it might just be a one point difference but it's beating your title
00:50:14rival two consecutive races and a huge well done to villa gomez as well he had a really torrid start
00:50:20to the season but now has two sprint race podiums yes mate yes put that race mate i think we
00:50:29have
00:50:29race for sure i don't know how did you feel like you got the pace is that of this win
00:50:36of the year man
00:50:37i cannot believe it i cannot believe it just when i thought okay second is good you know we had
00:50:45opportunity and we took it thank you guys the car improved so much from yesterday i think we have
00:50:50the pace for sure and we know what works what a day for campos as well cleaned up in the
00:50:57f3 race earlier
00:50:58and now a win once again in f2 and he just can't stop winning this kid can he alex as
00:51:04he said he's on
00:51:05the podium top step back to back races now lightning drive kept the pressure on was offered an opportunity
00:51:14but was there didn't give up and was there to strike that little lock up down into village
00:51:21will uh have gabrielle mini thinking that'll be one of those he chalks up on his racing drivers list of
00:51:27races i might have won i think yeah um even though he's under pressure still a great drive still
00:51:33takes good points away the championship battle rolls on but uh feels like a momentous moment in uh in
00:51:42this championship battle if not in points but even you know in the perception of these two drivers of
00:51:48what their chances are going through the rest of the year yeah he's getting one over on him isn't he
00:51:52and
00:51:53uh the team felt that gabrielle mini may have been just a bit nervous at the start of the race
00:51:58coming
00:51:59on team radio tim just to calm him down and a mistake at the end is one he'll be disappointed
00:52:04with but uh
00:52:05villa gomez the bad luck seemed to follow him round at the start of the season and now two podiums
00:52:12in two rounds
00:52:12yeah brilliant stuff for raphael villa gomez yes mate yes really good very good race man very good very good

00:53:03over their shoulders many talks about him in terms of his f1 future and nikola solov in f2
00:53:12doing really really good stuff here just keeps winning this season that is now five
00:53:17for the season nikola solov and has done it in style hasn't he getting the lead on the last lap
00:53:25of the
00:53:25race he'll be incredibly proud of that it's kind of drive that demonstrates top class potential that's
00:53:33for sure for uh for nikola solov we know how competitive the uh red bull academy process is
00:53:41the alpine academy process is significant uh number of drivers and a handshake between the two of them
00:53:47after a race deliberated it must be said very respectfully between the two of them hard but
00:53:52fair it was it was really great racing that um between those uh those pair it really was uh tried
00:53:58a few times in the solov and the mini just with that lock up at the end solov getting the
00:54:04run down
00:54:04the wellington straight villa gomez another podium for him this season but lots of talk about this kid
00:54:13nikola solov is doing a really superb job and inspiring a lot of people back in bulgaria
00:54:20as a lot of fans for nikola solov rightly so someone who's proven now he can just keep winning and
00:54:28that will be one i'm sure that'll be on the mind of the likes of mini you know solo another
00:54:33win for
00:54:34him and i think you're right in terms of the perception of how this championship could play out
00:54:39he's done a very good job there well it was a jump off the start for nikola solov wasn't it
00:54:46spotted uh how well he launched off the line aggressive down towards turn one make swift work
00:54:54of miata and then uh work of villa gomez as well down to the outside of village he went in
00:55:01that red bull machinery
00:55:05then it was a battle with miata through turn two the move on villa gomez came later where he would
00:55:11try
00:55:11later in the race to overtake gabrielle mini around the outside of stoke this time it worked out
00:55:17uh villa gomez gave him a shot at the outside line and then the critical lockup for the inside front
00:55:23tire for gabrielle mini gave opportunities for uh solov down the outside of brooklyn's an opportunity
00:55:31which he took and then stormed off towards the checkered flag didn't have to storm far it was the
00:55:35final lap of the race across the line for nikola solov superb drive from solov and some great moves
00:55:41that was an absolutely superb move on villa gomez and then getting by gabrielle mini on the final up to
00:55:48take his fifth win let's go to the corner i was dying right yeah in the last few laps i
00:55:53was there
00:55:54i was the best balance i got seven seven how are you doing your ears where are you on me
00:56:01but like
00:56:02from the first lap when i was behind you i was actually getting a nice balance in t1
00:56:13truck was so dirty there no i almost you turning i was like i want to die
00:56:17the fronts were just like yeah yeah
00:56:25i tapped the brakes i started by prologging and that is so
00:56:28and the safety guard no no no when when the last lap was i pushed a bit more t1 and

00:57:31through for uh veroni for uh causing a collision that would have been with stench one won't it
00:57:36uh and the uh final couple of corners always been a relatively strong event for art but uh a great
00:57:44race to win so many of the british fans uh staying in the stands between uh the sprint race the
00:57:51f1
00:57:51sprint race we of course had and uh qualifying which is coming up straight after this but they've
00:57:57been treated as a formative action maybe we've maybe we've tempted them to watch uh the rest of the
00:58:02the season of what is this great second tier of single-seater motor racing
00:58:10this takes us to the halfway point of the season the end of silverstone still a long way to go
00:58:15but
00:58:16we're starting to uh develop a real championship battle and of course wrap a camera on pole position
00:58:22alex done second tomorrow points very much good change when we go to tomorrow let's celebrate the
00:58:29podium here first though bila gomez out he comes once again another sprint race podium for the young
00:58:36mexican driver huge congratulations to him really turning his season around now as we hit the halfway
00:58:43point gabrielli mini an eighth podium of the season you just can't keep him off it the alpine junior and
00:58:51that is why he is right up there joint on points with nikola solov now for the championship lead and
00:58:58here comes the bulgarian driver always a huge amount of support for nikola solov and you can see
