00:03Hello, hello everybody. Hi, welcome. Thank you so much for coming. My name is Brianna Harmon,
00:14professional makeup artist, and I'll be giving you guys a masterclass today on undertones and
00:20all things the perfect face. Are y'all ready? Please make some noise if you're ready. Clap it
00:26up. Yes. Clap it up, clap it up, clap it up. Give it up for Brianna. She's incredible. I'm going
00:32to be
00:32here asking her a few questions. I'm Akili King, SN senior beauty editor. So excited to be here.
00:40Brianna, how are we feeling? I'm feeling great. I want to introduce my lovely model, Janae. She's
00:47beautiful. I'm feeling great. I'm excited. I'm really excited to show you guys my tips and tricks.
00:55To get the perfect base. So I'm going to start with a bit of skin prep. I already prepped her
01:04skin in the
01:04back, but I just want to show you guys how I actually go through the skin prep process with
01:11a little lymphatic drainage. So I love to start with Embryolisse. It's an amazing French moisturizer
01:20that also acts as a great primer. So I start by warming it in my hand and I'm going to
01:29smooth it
01:30over the face. You can turn this way. And Bri, tell us why you do the lymphatic drainage. What are
01:38some of the benefits? What differences do you see in the results when you're finished with the makeup?
01:43Right. So with the lymphatic drainage massage first, I want to start by opening up the lymph nodes. You
01:49have lymph nodes located right here in your collarbone as well as under your ear lobe where your jawline is.
01:57So the beauty of starting with a lymphatic drainage massage is to open up the lymph nodes which helps to
02:04really snatch the face by draining all that excess fluid. It also works to get the blood flowing in the
02:12face and give you overall plumpness to the skin, which you want before you start makeup because makeup
02:19is only as good as your skin prep. Yes, absolutely. Helps with deep puffing, sculpting, etc. Yes.
02:30So one of my favorite brands is Danessa Myrick's Beauty. How many of you have heard of Danessa? Raise
02:38your hand. Yeah. We love Danessa. We love black on beauty. So I'm starting with her glow serum. This is
02:47the one in the color main squeeze, which I like to add after my moisturizer. It gives the face a
02:57nice glow.
03:00So again, prepping it for amazing makeup. Beautiful. And we're going for a glowy overall look today. Are we
03:10doing more matte? Tell us. Okay. So this is a Danessa stand right here, me. So a lot of the
03:21things we're
03:21going to be using today are Danessa. We're going to start with her Yummy Skin Serum Skin Tint. So I
03:30already tested the shades in the back with Janae. Janae is between shades 12 and 11. So the thing with
03:40black women and the more melanated your skin is, you can have different colors all over. I'm sure you
03:47guys are all aware. Your chest is different from your legs, from your face, from your ear. Like, so you
03:52want to always match your foundation to the chest. Okay, because this is the part of the body that you
04:00see
04:00the most outside of your face. Sometimes the neck can be darker, but you want to match it to the
04:06chest, because
04:07that's what people are really going to see. So I also like to use multiple different shades of
04:15foundation. So we're going to start using shade 12 around the perimeter of her face. And when we work
04:23our way inside, we're going to switch to shade 11. Amazing. And while you're doing that, I would love
04:31for you to tell us how you got into makeup artistry. What inspired this path? How long have you been
04:38doing
04:38it? Yeah, sure. So it's funny. I was pre-med all my life. I really thought I was going to
04:46be an OBGYN.
04:49But then my junior year of college, I was like, I actually can't see that for myself anymore.
04:56And I always loved makeup. It was something people always asked me to do for them. But I never really
05:03thought of it as a career until I started researching and seeing people like Pat McGrath and Diane Kendall
05:10and so many amazing makeup artists who have made a career out of this.
05:14Yes.
05:14And I said, well, why can't that be me?
05:17Exactly.
05:17So I'm from Virginia. So I moved to New York in 2023 to start my career. And honestly,
05:24it's been great ever since.
05:26Beautiful. So proud of you.
05:28Thank you. Look at this perfect match.
05:32Yes. Let's show how it's literally like, like, let me show you guys. This is the foundation.
05:38I'm just going to take it and like, it's already blending into her skin. I'm going to use my foundation
05:44brush and tap it in. I don't like to do a lot of dragging. I'm more of a tap and
05:52move around.
05:53Nice. And you're starting at the perimeter of the face.
05:56I'm starting at the perimeter. I'm getting the ear. Don't forget the ears.
06:02I'm bringing it a little bit down the neck
06:07and into the forehead, into the hairline.
06:12I also did complete her brows off camera.
06:17Um, Janae is wearing the MAC brow pencil in shade Spiked. I find that it's a great shade for
06:27a lot of black women, like for a lot of skin tones. It's an amazing brow pencil.
06:37Okay. So now that we've done the perimeter of the face, I'm going to go in with number 11.
06:46I use my hands a lot because your hands are your best palette. It keeps your body warm. So it
06:53keeps
06:53the makeup moving and you can use it to keep your products warm while you're working with your clients
07:00or with yourself. Amazing. So now I'm tapping that into the center of the face
07:15and blending it into color 12 around the perimeter.
07:25Amazing. And then what tips would you give someone who wants to break into makeup artistry,
07:31especially as someone yourself? You mentioned you didn't know necessarily it could be a career,
07:37but you made one of it. What would you say to someone else who was in a similar position as
07:42you?
07:42I would say to never give up on yourself. And if you believe that it's something you want to do,
07:52then go for it because I come from an African household. And when I told them I was switching
07:59from medicine to makeup, they were like, are you okay? And I was like, yes, yes, I'm okay. And I'm
08:06going to make this a career. You just wait and see. And that's what I did. And I feel like
08:12you have to
08:12have some belief in yourself to keep going, even though there are going to be people around that
08:19will always doubt you. And then from an artistry standpoint, I would say always, always focus on
08:26building your book. Even if you feel like nobody's watching or nobody's hiring you.
08:33One day, somebody is going to be looking for exactly what you have to offer. And if you don't have
08:40the
08:40portfolio to show what you can do, that opportunity might pass you by. So always work on yourself. And
08:49that's anything in life. Continue working on yourself because you never know who's watching.
08:53I love that. That's beautiful to hear because so many people don't know the path forward when it
09:00comes to creative careers. So thank you for sharing that. I feel like that's so inspiring.
09:06So tell us what you're doing now. You're bringing it down to the neck.
09:09So I'm literally just blending. I think that's the key of makeup is blending
09:17flawlessly. It might take a second, but that really is all there is to it is a blend. So I'm
09:24just
09:26melting in color 11 with color 12. And then we're going to move on to concealer.
09:36For concealer, I'm also going to be using Danessa Myrick's concealer in the shade. Let's see.
09:52Shade 11 and shade 12. Nice. Again, we're mixing because black people are not one shade of brown.
10:03It's true. The undertones are key. Undertones are key. Yes. And Janae has a beautiful
10:09yellowy golden undertone. So we're playing off of that. Again, I'm using my hand
10:18as my palette. I was trying to be cute and use an actual palette today, but I got to stick
10:25to what
10:25I know. And that's my hand. Got to do what you got to do. And speaking of the perfect base,
10:33you've done my makeup before. And I know you're like a pro at the perfect base. Tell me or tell
10:40us,
10:40I should say, because for me, I have very dry, eczema prone skin.
10:45What advice would you give to those who want to execute a perfect base, but might
10:50leave more dry or problematic skin? What would you say? I would say that less is always more.
10:59And to focus on hydration. And that's where skin prep is really important. Right. I would also say
11:07the less powder, the better. Like if you have, if you struggle with psoriasis or eczema,
11:16powder is not your friend.
11:19So bear yourself from the cakiness and the buildup of products and use less foundation,
11:28less product and less powder. And I would say, take your time. And you know what? Actually,
11:34when I'm working with like acne prone skin or skin that can be a little bit more drying,
11:41I think I use my hands even more because of the warmth of the hands. It really helps
11:48blend everything together on the face better.
11:52Another thing for dry skin, I would say, is to have a good hydrating spray nearby
12:00that you can use throughout your makeup process because you want to keep the skin kind of wet.
12:08Absolutely. Love those tips. I feel like you taught me so much on that end. And now,
12:13whenever I get my makeup done anywhere else, I'm like, no powder, please.
12:19No powder. The first time I ever did Achilles makeup, she was like, no powder,
12:24because she knows, because she has the dry skin. She knows. And don't be afraid to stick up for
12:30yourself. Like if you're getting your makeup done, now that you know this tip, if you have dry skin,
12:36don't let that girl put all that powder on you. Spare the powder.
12:41Absolutely. Now we're moving into the concealer.
12:44I'm going to show you guys, turn this way, how I'm blending out the concealer. So I put number 11
12:52in the inner corner and number 12 on the outer. So we're starting from lightest to darkest
13:01and working our way up. So I pat. I'm always patting. Look up for a second. Under the eye,
13:09I'll do a little sweeping motion and then again, pat it out up into the hairline.
13:21And the same concealer, I'm going to take a mixture of the two. I'm literally just going to like
13:27blend it with my finger and put it in the center of the forehead and a little bit on the
13:33chin
13:34and right above the mouth. What this does is we're highlighting the high points of the face.
13:46So your forehead, your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, the center of your chin are all parts of
13:56your face that light catches. So you want to make sure that you accentuate those high points.
14:05I love it. It looks so gorgeous and natural too, which I love.
14:10Yes. We're going for natural. Like this isn't your Instagram baddie beat. This is like your natural
14:18everyday glam. Nothing wrong with the Instagram baddie beat though. We love her too. Exactly. I love it.
14:30I'm also taking the concealer like on the sides of her nose to act as a natural contour.
14:40Speaking of contour, are you really big on contouring? What's your kind of thoughts there?
14:50Say that one more time. Are you pretty big on contouring in general or what do you think?
14:54Yes. Yes. You know what's funny? I do a lot of makeup backstage and fashion shows and the models are
15:02obsessed with contouring. Like they want to be snapped. They say like, can you please contour me?
15:08And I'm like, yes. I think contouring is a very important step to help lift the face and give the
15:15face the shape that you want. Right. Dimension. I also want to speak on the difference between
15:25bronzer and contour because I think sometimes it can get a bit confusing, but
15:32a bronzer is to help bring warmth into the face. Whereas a contour is to bring shadow into the face.
15:43So
15:43you would put the contour like here on your jawline to help also structure the face.
15:58And we're going to move on to some bronzer soon. So I'm actually not going to do much contouring. I'm
16:07probably going to use more of a bronzer and warm it up, but also still put it in areas to
16:13contour.
16:14Nice. Love it. Love it.
16:16Yeah. And then you mentioned models and fashion week. Yes. Tell me a little bit more about that.
16:23What is it like for you, especially the hustle and bustle of the week? What do you make sure you
16:28have
16:28in your kit throughout the week to get you through a busy fashion week? Well, you'll notice a lot of
16:35my
16:35products are in cases like this to help condense my kit. Because working backstage at fashion shows,
16:45you can't have your full size foundation bottles and whatnot. So I love that it's made me condense my
16:55kit because it makes it a lot easier to carry it around. But I just love the energy of being
17:00backstage
17:01at a fashion show and working with the models and seeing the clothes. Honestly, that's my favorite part.
17:09Before I do contour, I actually want to go in with blush first. We're going to add a bit of
17:15cream blush
17:17to the cheek. And I want something that's going to be still natural for the face. So I'm actually going
17:24to go in with Pat McGrath, Sunkissed Seduction. It's a nice like mauve pinky color.
17:45This is just my first layer of blush. I like to do a cream blush
17:51and then set everything and then add powder blush on top.
17:58Nice. Would you say the type of brush you use for blush is super important?
18:03I like something a bit fluffy, but also that has some density to it to help really move around the
18:14product. I'm also going to add the blush a bit under the eye.
18:29Okay. Turn this way.
18:38Gorgeous. Yes. Blend, blend, blend.
18:46Okay.
18:50And then what are some of your tips to sort of beat the heat in terms of makeup
18:56and make sure your makeup stays in place, especially in NOLA?
19:01Oh my goodness. You need a setting spray or maybe one, two or three setting sprays, honestly.
19:09I'm going to be using the Danessa Myrick blurring setting spray today.
19:16And I love it. It's actually really good. I recently took a trip to Ghana and I wore a full
19:25face
19:26and my makeup did not move all day with the Danessa Myrick setting spray.
19:31I really like, I love it. Everyone should get it.
19:38And use like three layers, please.
19:44I'm going to step back. Yeah. Okay. Make sure you look. Take a step back
19:53and really see it in different lighting as well.
20:04Do we have any questions from the audience? Do you guys have any makeup questions?
20:09If you do, please ask Akili. Yes.
20:13You can come to the front.
20:21I want to hear anything you have to say. What's your name? Any questions?
20:26My name is Kendra. Kendra, what's your question?
20:30My question is, if you see separation on the face, what is the cause and how do you remediate it?
20:37Okay. First of all, you're glistening. Like you look so good.
20:42Um, so separation of the makeup can really probably be due to just your products not working together well.
20:50Um, so I would check to see like, it's honestly could be process of elimination.
20:56Like maybe it's your moisturizer or maybe it's your eye cream or a combination of all of that.
21:03So I would say if you find that to be happening, maybe switch up your routine and see what it
21:09is.
21:09And also how you're layering your products. Always like start with your creams and your liquids and then move on
21:16to your powder.
21:17Sometimes people do like liquid powder, liquid powder, and then that can get cakey. It can get messy.
21:23Your makeup can start to move. Um, yeah, those would be my tips. It's probably whatever's in the skincare.
21:30And then let's say you're already doing your makeup and now you're running into this problem.
21:35Something I like to do is again with my hands, my clean hands, I'll just kind of rub them together
21:42to get them like warm.
21:44And maybe I'll put a little bit of moisturizer, the tiniest bit and like tap it onto my face.
21:52Cause the warmth of your hands in the product will help to move that makeup and set it back into
21:58where it was.
22:01That was a great question. Cause that happens to me a lot. So definitely taking those.
22:09Okay. I'm just going to quickly set the concealer with some powder.
22:19I'm using the YSL loose powder in the golden color.
22:29And I know a lot of people like to apply their powder with a powder puff.
22:34I prefer to use a brush. Tell us more. Why do you prefer the brush over the powder puff?
22:41I just love brushes. Like I feel like
22:47they give you more control than if you were to use a beauty blender or a powder puff.
22:56Um, they also come in so many different shapes and sizes.
23:01I feel like it gives you more diversity in your technique.
23:05Yeah, absolutely.
23:07And then in terms of avoiding creasing your under eyes,
23:11what would you say? What advice would you give?
23:14If your under eye is creasing, I would say again, I like to use a moisturizer and lightly tap it
23:22under your eye and move the product around. Cause sometimes all it is, is your makeup is probably just dry.
23:31Yeah.
23:31And you need to hydrate it. So that's what I would suggest doing.
23:36Okay. So now I'm going to go in with this YSL bronzer.
23:41This is number three. I believe there's five shades of the YSL bronzer.
23:49My brush is angled, as you can see, and it's fluffy. So it'll be great for really sculpting the size
24:01of your face.
24:10So now I'm adding warmth back into the face. Cause sometimes when you do your foundation and your
24:16concealer, and then you just like leave it at that, you can start to look a little flat and a
24:22little cool.
24:23Yeah. So bronzers and blush is what's going to warm you back up.
24:31And you see how I'm always using my foundation brush to go back in and blend everything.
24:38Like even with the excess foundation on the brush, it helps to blend.
24:51I'm also taking a bit of foundation and putting it in between. So I only contour here and the jawline.
25:00So this middle area, I want it to be lighter so that you can really see the contours.
25:08So I'm just going back in with the foundation in the center of where I contoured to make it pop
25:15more.
25:17Very nice.
25:24Where else do you tend to place your contour?
25:27Say that again.
25:28Where else do you tend to place your contour?
25:31I place it underneath the lip, the bottom lip and on top your cupid's bow to get that like puckered
25:44lip.
25:46I also like to place it right here, the start of the bridge of your nose for the contour of
25:54the nose.
25:55Something I've noticed that I really dislike is when people bring their contour like all the way down the nose
26:04bridge.
26:05Like that actually looks kind of crazy, you know, like I don't know like if y'all think that too,
26:10but I'm just like that only looks good in the pictures, but in person it looks insane.
26:15So I would say keep your nose contour here.
26:21If you bring it down here, it's just, it's a little too obvious.
26:26Like we're like, that's not your nose, you know?
26:28So keep your nose contour high.
26:32And I think those are the areas I like to place it also on the forehead.
26:38Nice.
26:40And then I know some people say there's no such thing as too much blush,
26:45but what happens if you feel like you've put on too much contour, bronzer or blush?
26:51What would you say to kind of, what would you do next to kind of even it out?
26:56Um, I would say if you put too much on, there's never too much.
27:05No, but seriously, there's sometimes too much and then you need to, you need to get that together.
27:11I would say again, I feel like it's pretty repetitive, but it's just the truth.
27:17You can take your embryo leaves and like a brush like this and put the lotion on your hand and
27:26rub it in with the brush and just sweep it through the face.
27:31It will kind of remove some of the products without taking too much off and still keeping
27:37your makeup looking smooth, you know?
27:40I love that.
27:44Oh, we have a question here.
27:46Yay!
27:47Arnett?
27:48So what would be a quick step, a 15 minute necessity, like the products for just 15 minutes,
27:57if you're just doing like a quick makeup, not a whole...
28:01What's a quick routine for 15 minutes?
28:04Yeah, like...
28:05Okay, what are the things you should hit?
28:07Yeah.
28:07I think...
28:08Thank you for your question.
28:09Great question.
28:10I think that the most important thing would be your eyebrows, a bit of blush.
28:20You can do a skin tint, like so start with a skin tint and then I would do like a
28:26little bit of blush.
28:28I would do your eyebrows, a bit of mascara and some lip gloss, I think.
28:35What about concealer?
28:37Concealer?
28:39If you're being quick, I think your foundation, you can blend.
28:44But if you do want an extra coverage under the eye, I would use a concealer, but not something
28:49too light because then you're going to have to add more product to make up for the fact that you're
28:54turning yourself into Instagram baddie. So you need to keep the concealer shade a bit natural so that
29:03overall it still looks natural, you know? And then brush the brows, maybe fill them in just in the tail,
29:12and like a lip liner. I love... I think you would look really good in chestnut from Mac.
29:19A little lip liner with a little bit of gloss when you're out the door.
29:23And maybe some powder in certain areas, but you still want to have a nice glow, you know?
29:37Oh, repeat what I just said. I was saying that add powder where needed,
29:44but for a more natural finish, you still want that glow. So you don't want to powder your whole
29:50face, like maybe just powder a bit under the eye and a little bit on the forehead and the chin.
29:58What are the steps? All of what I just said, what are the steps for it?
30:03Okay. No, I'm just confirming that was the question. Okay.
30:06Um, you would do your primer, then you would want to do your foundation, and then your concealer,
30:15and then a bit of blush, and then the mascara, and then the brows. I like to do brows last,
30:23because I feel like brows can change every day if you want them to. They can be big and bold,
30:30or they can be soft and thin and natural. So I'd like to save my brows for last. And then
30:38your lip
30:39is the last thing for me. Nice. Love that. Okay, this blush is one of my favorites right now. Oh,
30:48we have another question. You have another question. Who do we have here? Hi, I'm Mecca.
30:55My question is, I've always been more of a no makeup makeup person. I don't really wear a lot of
31:01makeup,
31:01but I want to slowly get into doing a little eye shadow. So what's a good like starter eye shadow
31:08kind of combination? I think, thank you for your question. I think you should start with something
31:17simple. Like, honestly, this might not sound simple, but I think a smoky eye is one of the most
31:24easiest eye looks that you can achieve, because you can kind of just slap it on a little bit,
31:30if you want. You really can just slap it. So I would say start with a good creamy brow pencil,
31:40not brow, eye pencil that you can smudge into the eyelid and like draw a line,
31:51mudge it out. And then you can add like a brown, a really dark brown eyeshadow on top. And it's
31:59all
31:59about blending. Like, I think that's why I like the smoky eye to start, because it teaches you how to
32:04blend. Like, you know, you have to blend it out, right? Or you're just gonna look like you have a
32:08black eye.
32:09So like practice on your smoky eye. And I think you will grow a lot in your makeup career.
32:16I love that. That's a great question. Okay, I want to show you guys the lips.
32:25Also, I did go over the cream blush with a powder blush. As you can see, one of my favorite
32:33blushes
32:34right now are the YSL powder blushes. They're very nice. What shade was that one?
32:42And this one is called make no shade number 37. Yeah, 37 is a good one. So I'm gonna blend
32:56two different lip liners for her. MAC is so great with their lip liners. I'm sure everyone here has
33:04use a MAC lip liner at some point. So I'm gonna mix cork and chestnut. Cork is a bit of
33:12a lighter brown,
33:14whereas chestnut is a bit darker. But I think they're both really great. So I'm gonna start by
33:23using chestnut on the outer lip.
33:29Do you guys know when you do your lip liner sometimes and then like you move your hand
33:33and you have a fingerprint on your chin or something? Or you have makeup on your pinky now?
33:40I like to use a tissue and I'll place it here so I can rest my hands and not mess
33:49up the makeup.
33:57And then do you have any tips for lining your lips perfectly?
34:03I would say line it completely in the shape that you want.
34:09And then once it's perfectly lined, then you can go in with a brush or your finger and blend it
34:19out.
34:21So blend it out into the lip and kind of blend it out of the lip line so you don't
34:27have like a harsh,
34:30strong lip liner.
34:36I'm also over lining her lips a little bit on the top and a bit underneath the bottom lip.
34:50So I actually did think I was gonna use, what is this? Oh yeah, so that was cork actually.
34:56So I started with cork, which is the lighter shade. And I'm gonna take a small smudge brush
35:06and smudge that out.
35:12I'm smudging it into the lip.
35:21This is kind of like the base lip liner, I would say. The one that's closer to looking more natural.
35:28And then I'm gonna go in with chestnut to add more dimension to the lip shape.
35:40And then say I want to touch up my look, what should I bring in my purse with me if
35:45I'm headed out?
35:47What are the essentials?
35:49For your lips, a good lip liner.
35:54And a lip gloss. And I think this is actually very important, which I think some people forget to pack.
36:01A lip sharpener, like how many times have you been out and you break your lip liner and then you
36:07don't have
36:07a sharpener and then, well, you have no lips, you know?
36:10Yeah, that's so real. That's me all the time.
36:13Yes, keep a sharpener in your bag too.
36:16And then whatever you want, a lipstick, a lip gloss, both.
36:21A tinted chapstick always works too.
36:29And you can always use your products for more than one reason.
36:35So maybe you have a cream blush that you really like.
36:40Who's to say you can't use it as a lipstick too?
36:44Or you have a lipstick you like. Who's to say it can't be a blush?
36:49You know, you can play with your products.
36:51Just because it says it's one product does not mean you have to use it that way.
36:56Right.
36:57That's the beauty of makeup is you can play and you can do whatever you want.
37:02There are no rules, but there are rules.
37:09This lip is gorgeous.
37:12Thank you. So I actually pivoted, guys. I just want to let you know.
37:16I thought pork would look good, but I think it's a bit too natural for her.
37:21So I'm kind of going over the pork all the way with chestnut.
37:25You know what? I like the chestnut more.
37:33And you see how I'm like feathering it out so we don't have any harsh lines.
37:41So pretty.
37:51Just touch up the chin.
37:58You have less than a minute.
38:05So I'm actually going to do what I said.
38:08And I'm going to use the blush as the lip color today.
38:11Ooh, we love a multifunctional baddie.
38:15So again, we're going in with the Pat McGrath Sunkissed Seduction.
38:21Beautiful.
38:22And while you do that, we're going to take a question right here, Bri.
38:25Okay.
38:27Hi, Brianna.
38:29Hello.
38:30I have a question.
38:32So I kind of want to take it a little bit back to the beginning because I have olive undertones.
38:39So whenever you're doing makeup on somebody who has olive undertones,
38:43are there any shades that we should be avoiding?
38:46Because I feel like sometimes I get stuck between like orange and red tones.
38:54So she has olive undertones.
38:58What shade should she avoid or what should she avoid in general as someone with olive undertones?
39:05I don't think you should like avoid anything because I think with different brands and different products,
39:13you're going to have a different experience.
39:16So I would say don't limit yourself.
39:20Like test it out.
39:21Like if you want to see how it's going to work on you,
39:24I think that's a part of makeup is it's all trial and error.
39:28So sometimes you might have to do that to find the perfect one.
39:33And you never know because so many brands make their products differently.
39:37So something that's olivey and NARS could be completely red and matte.
39:43You know, you never really know.
39:45Good point.
39:48And then tell us as we're finishing up time, what are the final touches here?
39:53So the final touches.
39:55So I added the same cream blush to the lip as the lipstick.
40:01And now I'm going in with a bit of lip gloss.
40:04This is Sweet Mouth by Fenty.
40:08It's one of my favorite lip glosses because it's not all the way clear.
40:13It has like a little bit of a pink to it.
40:16It's really pretty on a lot of people.
40:21Gorgeous.
40:22And honestly, this is the perfect Essence Festival look.
40:25I feel like this is daytime, right?
40:27Right.
40:28And then you do your smokey eye for the concert.
40:31Yes.
40:31Throw your smokey eye on for the concerts at night.
40:35Yeah.
40:35And you're good to go.
40:37This is gorgeous.
40:38My last and final step is the nose contour, which I just want to show you guys what I
40:44was talking about since I was going in on it.
40:48I'm just going to take a brush with the same bronzer
40:54and go right here.
40:58And I'm stopping right here.
41:01I'm not going to move down.
41:03If I move down, I'm only going to take the concealer here.
41:07This kind of lifts the nose, gives it a little perk
41:13and bring it into the brows.
41:15It looks more natural when you like sweep the bronzer into the brows.
41:26Okay, let's see.
41:29I mean, I like it.
41:31Stunning.
41:31I love it.
41:34So good.
41:37Let me take a step back.
41:39That's what I'm going to do.
41:39Wow.
41:41So sun-kissed and gorgeous.
41:43Side to side, Miss Janae.
41:45Give it up for Bree.
41:47This is amazing.
41:48You're incredible.
41:50Thank you guys so much for staying and interacting with me.
41:54I really appreciate it.
41:55This was my first ever master class.
41:59So thank you guys.
42:01I appreciate it.
42:02She did amazing.
42:03Let's give her a louder round of applause.
42:06Yes.
42:07That's that energy.
42:09We love that.
42:10So proud of you.
42:12Killed it.
42:12You look stunning.
42:13I hope you're about to go somewhere.
42:15I mean, we're at Essence Fest, so.
