00:00For more information, the Brazilian community brought the colors, music and tradition of Festa Junina to the Chinese capital
00:06in a celebration that is growing year after year and attracting an increasingly diverse public.
00:11Our Carioca correspondent in China, Bruno Falchi, was there and brings us the following report.
00:18In Beijing, the Brazilian community celebrated the tradition of Festa Junina,
00:24one of Brazil's most important cultural expressions, which continues to gain more space each year in China.
00:32The event brought together Brazilian residents, Chinese citizens and visitors of different nationalities
00:40in a day marked by music, traditional cuisine and the customs of the Arraial.
00:46The celebration reflects the growing interest of the Chinese public in Brazilian culture
00:52and the strengthening of exchange between both countries.
00:59The Festa Junina in Brazil is a very important celebration with a long-standing tradition
01:03that has attracted many Chinese friends.
01:06Although it is our first time here, from the very beginning we felt great warmth and a very emotional experience.
01:11We were able to perceive the joy and festive spirit of the Brazilian people.
01:16This also shows us that Brazil and China share many common points, especially in the cultural field.
01:21Today we are here not only to enjoy the atmosphere, but also to get closer to Brazil
01:26and bring good cultural works to those participating in this event.
01:32In its third edition, in the Chinese capital, the Festa Junina reached a record attendance of around 600 people,
01:41with a strong Latin American presence.
01:43Among them was Madalena, who said she came for the atmosphere, the samba, the cuisine, and the joy of the
01:52Brazilian people.
01:55I believe in the spirit of Brazilians in general.
02:01People are very cheerful.
02:02It is a celebration that brings together the whole family, across different ages.
02:08The Brazilian Citizens' Council is an initiative that exists in different parts of the world
02:14where Brazilian communities are present.
02:17It is common for Brazilians to organize formally to create associations that provide support to the community.
02:23This group has been operating for about three years here in Beijing.
02:27We help Brazilians with information about daily life in China,
02:31bureaucratic matters, contacts, and also opportunities.
02:34We function as a kind of para-diplomatic group.
02:37In addition, we also promote Brazilian culture.
02:40The celebration is part of the programming of the Brazil-China Cultural Year,
02:45in which various cultural activities are taking place across China
02:50to promote Brazilian culture and strengthen ties between both countries,
02:55strategic partners in the construction of a multipolar world.
