Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has warned Tehran will respond if the United States and Israel fail to honour their commitments to end the conflict, as both sides report positive progress in the latest round of indirect U.S.-Iran talks in Doha.

00:11His remarks come as both sides have reported positive progress in indirect US-Iran talks held in Doha.
00:19The discussions in Doha focused on the release of Iran's frozen assets
00:23and restoring maritime traffic at the Strait of Hormuz,
00:26over which Tehran reasserted its claim of control.
00:30A lasting peace, however, remains some distant way,
00:33with both sides yet to finalise the terms of the ceasefire
00:37before tackling more contentious issues, including Iran's nuclear programme.
00:42For now, negotiations have paused until after the funeral of Iran's late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
00:49The funeral procession begins on Friday in Tehran and will conclude with his burial on July 9th.
00:56Tehran has issued a stern warning to the United States and Israel
01:00against any military action during this period, promising harsh retaliation.
