00:01Alice Springs teens given a shot at every footballers dream.
00:06Football Australia in the Red Centre, bringing scouting, football development and official
00:12pathway opportunities to Alice Springs for the first time.
00:16We know it's a very untapped area from a football sense.
00:22We don't get here very often, so we know there is talent everywhere and it's about providing
00:29them an opportunity to showcase their skills and their talents and see where it takes them.
00:35It's costly for budding footballers from Central Australia.
00:38For these local under-17s, to be able to show off skills in Alice means a lot.
00:44Quite remote, you know, in the desert, you know, it's really hard to get places, do things,
00:49you know, be there, opportunities, yeah.
00:52I want to go up to Darwin, I'm going there tomorrow, hopefully I can get out of Alice
00:58Spring and play somewhere else.
01:00We're basically here to see the next Socceroos or Matildas that might be emerging from regional
01:09Australia and first time in the Northern Territory, so very excited to be here.
01:13If you were to turn up today, you would have found, you know, a massive diverse group of
01:17kids, you know, from lots of different communities and, you know, you only have to look at the
01:21Socceroos, you know, to look at the diversification, the multiculturalism that makes Australia great.
01:26And all the way, from the red centre, these boys have a message for their heroes.
01:31Guys on Cruise!
01:33Shooting for the stars.
