00:00I have only heard of one.
00:01I have...
00:04You have a microphone there.
00:05You have another one here.
00:07Hi, Allure. I'm Olivia Wilde.
00:09I'm Fenelope Cruz, and this is True Serum.
00:17There!
00:19From heaven!
00:20Oh.
00:21Oh.
00:23Ah!
00:24I want all these answers.
00:25Me too, they're good.
00:27Okay, to the truth.
00:28And only the truth.
00:30Mm-hmm.
00:35Oh, I feel it.
00:41Reveal an OG Hollywood beauty secret
00:43that has stood the test of time.
00:45I don't know a Hollywood beauty secret.
00:47I grew up in a hair salon,
00:49beauty salon, from my mother.
00:51So all my tips and tricks would be from that.
00:55Is there a secret from her?
00:57I learned how to cut hair.
00:58I learned how to blow dry.
01:00I learned how to do the perm bigudis.
01:03Yes.
01:04If you ever want me to cut your hair, you're like...
01:06Yes.
01:06Salma called me one day, many years ago, and she said,
01:09I have a premiere.
01:11I need you to do my hair and makeup, but the light went off in my house.
01:15We have no electricity, no light, but you need to come because I also my hair and makeup
01:20team canceled.
01:21Something happened.
01:22So she asked me to do it with no lights, so I put some candles, and I did hair and
01:29makeup
01:29for her, and she went to the premiere, and everything was fine.
01:33Wow.
01:33Yes.
01:34Did you ever need me for that?
01:35Yes.
01:35What was the premiere we have to find in these photos?
01:37Please stop.
01:38No, but I deserve that credit.
01:39Wow.
01:40No one would have believed her.
01:41She's like, hair and makeup.
01:42No, nobody believes these stories that I have with her, but it's true.
01:47What is a past beauty face of yours that you deeply regret?
01:51You don't have any.
01:52I plucked up all my eyebrows.
01:54Oh, the whole thing.
01:56So many of them, and they didn't grow back like everybody else grew back, and mine didn't
02:01fucking grow back.
02:03It was like, I wanted to be Kate Moss, like many of us.
02:07It just feels like one of those trends that a lot of people tried, but then everyone else
02:10recovered entirely, and then mine just didn't.
02:13And so I don't have, I barely have eyebrows.
02:16Now they are fine.
02:17They are.
02:17They are great.
02:18An illusion.
02:20You're funny.
02:22They are not actually there.
02:24What did you put in here?
02:27It's not working.
02:29To the truth.
02:30Truth.
02:34Are you ready?
02:35Ready.
02:36Okay, you have to be honest.
02:38Okay.
02:41Are swingers in Hollywood a real thing?
02:44What the fuck do I know?
02:47I mean, all I do is like school, football, dance, work, kids, work.
02:56That's my life.
02:57What do I know?
02:57It doesn't have to be you, but are swingers a real thing?
03:00And if they exist, they don't tell me about it.
03:03I mean, I don't know stories about that.
03:07But if you know, you better tell me.
03:09Because I like knowing everything.
03:10And I don't repeat it.
03:12I wouldn't share that information, but I would like to know.
03:15I have only heard of one.
03:19You have a microphone there.
03:21You have another one here.
03:23I know.
03:24It's the thing.
03:24I haven't seen it with my own eyes.
03:25And I feel like, of course, there's going to be rumors about everybody and everything.
03:28And we've heard that in the past, you know, like the old, old times, they had a lot of swinging
03:34parties.
03:35You're the one who's supposed to be answering.
03:37Yeah, but I don't know.
03:38And I would like to know.
03:39I would also like to know.
03:41So let's invest some of our time in finding out if that's true.
03:46Okay, I'm open to that.
03:47Just out of curiosity.
03:48I like that mission.
03:50What is the question that you wish people would stop asking you?
03:59I wish people would stop.
04:02You know what?
04:02I think there's a lot of conversation about female directors.
04:06And we put ourselves into a category.
04:08And it's like, I wish people would stop asking me about what it's like to be a female director.
04:13Why you don't ask me when he's a man?
04:15Yeah, they don't ask like the WNBA players like, how does it feel playing girl basketball?
04:19It's like, I think they just play basketball.
04:22And I think it's the same thing that I understand the intention is to say like,
04:26talk about the experience of being in a male dominated industry.
04:29But we keep putting ourselves into these kind of siloed categories that actually doesn't really help the greater cause.
04:38I agree.
04:39But there will be one day where that question won't be asked.
04:42Yeah, it'll feel crazy.
04:43Hopefully soon.
04:44Hopefully soon.
04:45How often is normal to have sex in a long term relationship?
04:50How often is normal?
04:52How often is normal?
04:52Like that is like a different universe for each person and for each couple.
04:57So I'm not going to answer that.
05:01It's true. And Esther says,
05:03Oh, what does she say about that?
05:04Well, she says that it was like the beginning of her career was because there were all these quizzes that
05:09said a specific number.
05:11Like if you don't have sex more than 11 times a month, your relationship is dead.
05:15And she said people are misunderstanding this whole concept by putting a number on it, putting like a goal.
05:21And then that actually is not helpful.
05:24So maybe how often is normal?
05:27I would say it's not normal to not have sex, which is a lot of people think that like,
05:34Oh, you know, we had kids or we're both busy. So we just don't have sex anymore.
05:38And I think that is a red flag.
05:40It's so funny how you and I, every time we talk to her, we ask her the questions that we
05:46know she's not going to answer.
05:47And the ones that we cannot share here.
05:50I was so lucky to have her there for inspiration and to, to be able to call her to, to,
05:58to give us feedback about,
06:00okay, when Pina becomes the therapist in the scene to be completely away from any cliche.
06:06Yes.
06:07She helped us so much.
06:08It's so true.
06:10What is a relationship red flag that you should immediately run from?
06:15Oh, I mean, bad listeners, but I think someone who interrupts you and doesn't listen.
06:22Someone who can't celebrate your success.
06:24Yeah, that would be very sad.
06:26Yeah. Who doesn't get pleasure from your happiness.
06:31Yeah. That has no future.
06:32Yeah.
06:33Most of the time, the people that do that are not going to be obvious.
06:37No, they're not obvious. Yeah. Subtle scraping away at your confidence.
06:41Lying in general, I hate.
06:43They say if a man hates cats, he hates women because he wants to control women.
06:48I say this as someone who's fully allergic to cats.
06:51Like if they don't like animals, if they don't like animals, that's a red flag.
06:56I need more serum.
07:00What do you think is the part of perimenopause that is least talked about publicly?
07:05That it can last 10, 12 years.
07:08It can start as early as 40.
07:11The ups and downs can be crazy.
07:14And I remember when I was 41 and my doctor told me,
07:18your hormones are going to be doing this crazy dance for the next 10 or 12 years.
07:23And I thought it was a really bad joke.
07:25And I thought it was not possible to handle that.
07:28And because I developed cystic my ovaries almost every month and I still do.
07:32And they spike hormones.
07:33So you can go from a number 30 of estrogen to a number 500.
07:39And they would look at that and say, no, this is a mistake from the lab.
07:41So let's repeat the test.
07:42And it was right.
07:43So I remember the day that she told me that like if it was yesterday.
07:47And it's still the same today.
07:48Same thing.
07:49Like I get my period every month.
07:51The hormones are crazy up, down, up and down, up and down.
07:54And people have to know because you have to prepare yourself.
07:59And of course, God bless bioidentical hormones.
08:01What is it, bioidentical?
08:02Hormones, bioidentical.
08:04What is one symptom that people don't often recognize is perimenopause?
08:09A lot of people have this idea that it's going to be about hot flashes.
08:15And that has never happened to me.
08:17You taught me about the frozen shoulder thing.
08:20Was that me?
08:21It was in your character.
08:23No, because that came from Marie Claire.
08:28Oh, right, right, right.
08:29Because I did like my own little Frankenstein from things from different doctors for those scenes.
08:34But a lot of that came from Dr. Marie Claire.
08:37So it was my personal homage to her.
08:40Now I just think about frozen shoulder all the time.
08:42I'm just waiting for my shoulder to freeze.
08:44I learned even more about perimenopause than I learned on our shoot, which was a lot.
08:49And I learned that it's going to happen for 12 years.
08:52I'm scared.
08:54I learned a big thing.
08:55She said something.
08:58And I was like, okay, then I have to talk to you after this,
09:02because I just, you just reveal something that I'm like, I need to know.
09:05It's too truthful.
09:07But again, I cannot say that here.
09:09But I'm kind of shocked.
09:12Thanks for watching our honesty.
09:14See you next time.
09:16Salud.
09:17Salud.
09:17Jamon.
09:18Jamon.
09:18Jamon,
09:19Jamon.
09:19Jamon.
09:20Jamon.
09:22Jamon.
09:24So let's come.
09:25To be right.
