00:55The Cat in the Hat Comes Back by Dr. Seuss
01:00This was no time for play. This was no time for fun. This was no time for games. There was
01:08work to be done. All that deep, deep, deep snow. All that snow had to go.
01:15When our mother went down to the town for the day, she said,
01:20Somebody has to clean all this away. Somebody. Somebody has to, you see.
01:27Then she picked out to somebody, Sally and me. Well, there we were. We were working like that. And then
01:38who should come up but the cat in the hat.
01:42Uh-oh, Sally said. Don't you talk to that cat. That cat is a bad one, that cat in the
01:49hat. He plays lots of bad tricks. Don't you let him come near. You know what he did the last
01:56time he was here.
01:57Play tricks, laughed the cat. Oh, my, my. No, no, no. I just want to go in to get out
02:04of the snow. Keep your mind on your work. You just stay there, you two. I will go in the
02:11house and find something to do.
02:14Then the cat went right in. He was up to no good. So I ran in after her as fast
02:21as I could. Do you know where I found him? You know where he was? He was eating a cake
02:30in the tub. Yes, he was.
02:33The hot water was on and the cold water, too. And I said to the cat, What a bad thing
02:40to do.
02:41But I like to eat cake in a tub, left the cat. You should try it sometime, left the cat
02:48as he sat.
02:50And then I got mad. This was no time for fun. I said, Cat, you get out. There is work
02:58to be done.
03:00I have no time for tricks. I must go back and dig. I can't have you in here eating cake
03:07like a pig.
03:08You get out of this house. We don't want you about.
03:13Then I shut off the water and let it run out.
03:17The water ran out and then I saw the ring.
03:21A ring in the tub and oh boy, what a thing.
03:26A big long pink cat ring. It looked like pink ink.
03:31And I said, Will this ever come off? I don't think.
03:38Have no fear of that ring.
03:41Laughed the cat in the hat.
03:43Why, I can take cat rings off tubs just like that.
03:48Do you know how he did it?
03:50With mother's white dress.
03:54Now the tub was all clean.
03:57But her dress was a mess.
04:01Then Sally looked in.
04:04Sally saw the dress too.
04:06And Sally and I did not know what to do.
04:10We should work in the snow.
04:12But that dress, what a spot.
04:16It may never come off, Sally said.
04:19It may not.
04:21But the cat laughed.
04:24Ho, ho.
04:25I can make the spot go.
04:27The way I take spots off a dress is just so.
04:30See here?
04:31Laughed the cat.
04:33It is not hard at all.
04:35The thing that takes spots off a dress is a wall.
04:39Then we saw the cat wipe the spot off the dress.
04:44Now the dress was all clean.
04:47But the wall, what a mess.
04:50Oh, wall spots.
04:52He laughed.
04:53Let me tell you some news.
04:55To take spots off a wall, all I need is two shoes.
05:02Whose shoes did he use?
05:04I looked and saw whose.
05:06And I said to the cat, this is very bad news.
05:11Now the spot is all over Dad's ten dollar shoes.
05:16But your dad will not know about that, said the cat.
05:20He will never find out, laughed the cat in the hat.
05:24His ten dollar shoes will have no spots at all.
05:27I will rub them right off on this rug in the hall.
05:32But now we have rug spots, I yelled.
05:36What a day.
05:37Rug spots?
05:38What next?
05:39Can you take them away?
05:42Don't ask me.
05:44He laughed.
05:45Why, you know that I can.
05:46Then he picked up the rug, and away the cat ran.
05:52I can clean up these rug spots before you count three.
05:56No spots are too hard for a hat cat like me.
06:01He ran into Dad's bedroom, and then the cat said,
06:06It is good that your dad has the right kind of bed.
06:10Then he shook the rug.
06:12Crack!
06:13Now the bed had the spot.
06:16And all I could say was,
06:19Now what, cat?
06:20Now what?
06:23But the cat just stood still.
06:26He just looked at the bed.
06:28This is not the right kind of a bed.
06:31The cat said.
06:32To take spots off this bed will be hard.
06:35Said the cat.
06:37I can't do it alone.
06:39Said the cat in the hat.
06:42It is good I have someone to help me.
06:44He said.
06:45Right here in my hat, on the top of my head.
06:49It is good that I have him here with me today.
06:51He helps me a lot.
06:53This is little cat A.
06:56And then little cat A took the hat off his head.
07:00It is good I have someone to help me.
07:04He said.
07:05This is little cat B.
07:07And I keep him about.
07:09And when I need help,
07:10then I let him come out.
07:13And then B said.
07:15I think we need little cat C.
07:19That spot is too much for the A cat in me.
07:23But now, have no fear.
07:26We will clean it away.
07:28The three of us.
07:29Little cats B, C, and A.
07:34Come on.
07:35Take it away.
07:37Yelled little cat A.
07:39I will hit that old spot with this broom.
07:43Do you see?
07:44It comes off the old bed.
07:46It goes on the TV.
07:49And then little cat B cleaned up the TV.
07:53He cleaned it with milk,
07:55put the spot in a pan,
07:57and then C blew it out of the house with a fan.
08:02But look where it went, I said.
08:05Look where it blew.
08:07You blew the mess out of the house.
08:09That is true.
08:10But now you made snow spots.
08:13You can't let them stay.
08:15Let us think about that now,
08:18said C, B, and A.
08:21With some help, we can do it,
08:24said little cat C.
08:27Then pop on his head.
08:29We saw little cat D.
08:31Then pop, pop, pop.
08:34Little cats E, F, and G.
08:37We will clean up that snow
08:39if it takes us all day.
08:41If it takes us all night,
08:43we will clean it away,
08:45said little cats G, F, E, D, C, B, A.
08:52They ran out of the house then,
08:55and we ran out too.
08:56And the big cat laughed.
08:58Ha ha, now you will see something new.
09:02My cats are all clever.
09:04My cats are good shots.
09:06My cats have good guns.
09:08They will kill all those spots.
09:11But this did not look very clever to me.
09:15Kill snow spots with pop guns?
09:17That just could not be.
09:20All this does is make more spots.
09:23We yelled at the cat.
09:25Your cats are no good.
09:26Put them back in your hat.
09:28Take your little cats G, F, E, D, C, B, A.
09:34Put them back in your hat,
09:35and you take them away.
09:38Oh no, said the cat.
09:40All they need is more help.
09:42Help is all that they need.
09:44So keep still and don't yelp.
09:48Then little cat G took the hat off his head.
09:52I have little cat H here to help us,
09:54he said.
09:55Little cats H, I, J, K, L, and M.
09:58But our work is so hard.
10:00We must have more than them.
10:02We need little cat N.
10:04We need O.
10:05We need P.
10:06We need little cats Q, R, S, T, U, and V.
10:11Come on, kill those spots.
10:14Kill the mess.
10:15Yelled the cats.
10:17And they jumped at the snow
10:19with long rakes and red bats.
10:23They put it in pails
10:25and they made high pink hills.
10:27Pink snowman, pink snowballs,
10:30and little pink pills.
10:33Oh, the things that they did
10:36and they did them so hard.
10:38It was all one big spot now,
10:41all over the yard.
10:44But the big cat stood there
10:47and he said,
10:48This is good.
10:50This is what they should do
10:51and I knew that they would.
10:54With a little more help,
10:56all the work will be done.
10:57They need one more cat
10:59and I know just the one.
11:02Look close.
11:03In my hand,
11:04I have little cat V.
11:07On his head are cats W,
11:09X, Y, and Z.
11:12Z is too small to see,
11:14so don't try.
11:16You cannot.
11:17But Z is the cat
11:18who will clean up that spot.
11:21Now here is the Z you can't see.
11:23Said the cat.
11:25And I bet you can't guess
11:26what he has in his hat.
11:28He has something called Vroom.
11:30Vroom is so hard to get.
11:33You never saw anything like it,
11:35I bet.
11:36Why, Vroom cleans up anything,
11:38clean as can be.
11:39Then he yelled,
11:41Take your hat off now,
11:42little cat Z.
11:44Take the Vroom off your head.
11:46Make it clean up the snow.
11:48Hurry, you little cat.
11:49One, two, three, go.
11:52Then the Vroom.
11:54It went Vroom.
11:56And oh boy, what a Vroom.
11:59Now don't ask me what Vroom is.
12:01I never will know.
12:03But boy, let me tell you,
12:05it does clean up snow.
12:09Ha ha, so you see?
12:11Laughed the cat.
12:12Now your snow is all white.
12:14Now your work is all done.
12:17Now your house is all right.
12:19And you know where my little cats are?
12:22Said the cat.
12:24That Vroom blew my little cats
12:26back in my hat.
12:29And so,
12:30if you ever have spots now and then,
12:32I will be very happy to come here again
12:35with little cats A, B, C, D, E, F, G,
12:39H, I, J, K, L, M, N, and O, P.
12:43And Q, R, S, T,
12:44and cat U and cat V,
12:46and little cats W, X, Y, and Z.

21:52Fox in Socks, Sir
21:55Fox in Socks, our game is done, Sir
21:58Thank you for a lot of fun, Sir
22:10There's a Wocket in My Pocket by Dr. Seuss
22:17Did you ever have the feeling
22:20There's a Wasket in your basket
22:27Or a Euro in your bureau
22:31Or a Woset in your closet
22:38Sometimes I feel quite certain
22:41There's a Jerton in the curtain
22:48Sometimes I have the feeling
22:50There's a Zlock behind the clock
22:56And that Zelf up on that shelf
23:01I have talked to him myself
23:07That's the kind of house I live in
23:11There's a Nink in the sink
23:16And a Zamp in the lamp
23:20And they're rather nice, I think
23:25Some of them are very friendly
23:28Like the yacht in the pot
23:34But that Yodel in the bottle
23:38Some are friendly, some are not
23:43I like the Zabel on the table
23:48And the Gare under the chair
23:53But that Bofa on the sofa
23:58Well, I wish he wasn't there
24:04All those Nubberds
24:06In the cupboards
24:09They're good fun to have about
24:13But that Noothbrush
24:15On my Toothbrush
24:18Him I could do without
24:23The only one I'm really scared of
24:27Is that Bug
24:29Under the rug
24:33And that Quimney
24:35Up the chimney
24:36I don't like him
24:38Not at all
24:41And it makes me sort of nervous
24:44When the Zoll
24:46Scoots down the hall
24:49But the Yeps
24:50On the steps
24:52They're great fun to have around
24:58And so are many, many other friends
25:00That I have found
25:03Like the Teller
25:05And the Neller
25:08And the Geller
25:11And the Deller
25:14And the Beller
25:16And the Weller
25:19And the Zeller
25:21And the Cellar
25:50I don't care if you believe it
25:55That's the kind of house
25:56I live in
25:59And I hope we never leave it
26:32All right now
26:33Thank you
26:33Thank you
26:37That's all
26:38O
26:39No
26:40No
26:42Thank you
26:44You
26:46I want you
26:50I want you
26:51I can
26:52I want you
26:52I want you
26:52Amen.
