00:00Let's check in with Rochelle for more in tonight's weather forecast.
00:03Thank you, Disha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
00:07It's time for the rundown on your weather.
00:09Let's begin with what happened today.
00:11Most of us woke up to some early morning showers.
00:14Then the day gave us invariably cloudy skies with intermittent rainfall ranging between isolated and scattered.
00:21Across Tobago, a few isolated showers also occurred despite overall sunny to partly cloudy skies.
00:28Remember, below normal rainfall totals are expected in Tobago.
00:32Now, here's what's happening tonight.
00:34The Met Office says to expect mostly fair but hazy conditions with a gentle breeze and the odd shower with
00:41minimum temperatures at 24 degrees in Trinidad and 25 in Tobago.
00:46And the sun will come out tomorrow.
00:49That's according to the Met Office along with hazy and breezy skies.
00:54But there is a low chance of brisk isolated showers.
00:57So, walk with the umbrellas just in case.
01:00Daytime temperatures will reach up to 32 degrees in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago.
01:06Also, tagging along tomorrow is some Saharan dust and at a moderate concentration as well.
01:12So, walk with your face mask if you have to.
01:15So, more clouds and more rain.
01:18That's what the next couple of days will look like as Thursday and Friday is forecast to be cloudy and
01:25breezy with occasional showers and the medium to high chance of heavy showers favoring Trinidad.
01:32And remember with conditions like these, gusty winds are likely and street or flash flooding may occur in areas so
01:39prone.
01:40Let's take a look at our sun times now.
01:42In Trinidad, sunrise is at 547 and 543 in Tobago and sunset at 632 and 629 in Tobago.
01:50And with a bit more sunshine expected tomorrow, the beach might be on your mind?
01:55Well, if so, seas will be moderate with waves 1.5 meters to 2 meters in open waters and near
02:011 meter, occasionally choppy, in sheltered areas.
02:04So, generally safe for most marine activities, but boaters should still be cautious, especially in open waters.
02:12It's now time for your Thai Times.
02:27Have you ever gotten a smell after rainfall?
02:30Well, did you know that that fresh smell after rain has a name?
02:35It's called petrichor.
02:37During dry weather, plants release natural oils into the ground, while soil bacteria produce an earthy scent.
02:45When the first raindrop hit the ground, they trap tiny air bubbles that burst into the air, carrying these scents
02:52to your nose.
02:53That's why the scent is often strongest after the first rain following a long, dry spell.
02:59Well, now you know.
03:01And that's all for weather tonight.
03:03Sachin, Mexico versus Ecuador tonight.
03:06Who do you think will make it?
03:09I think, I think, I think.
03:12I'm not sure who's going to make it, friends.
03:14I'm really not sure.
03:15But I'm thinking Mexico, though.
03:16Norway advances to the round of 16 after pulsating battle against Ivory Coast.
03:21akin, Europe into the past.
03:22Everybody ок kind of sees me too.
03:24It's okay.
