00:09Acting President at this hour,
00:11Adelsi Rodríguez is offering statements,
00:14is set to offer statements.
00:16Let's recall that this meeting with high officials of the nation,
00:20let's recall, let's listen to statements.
00:25I'm welcoming the creation of this group to address the field camps
00:36and the transitory camps that have been created as a result
00:41of the major shock that we received.
00:49After we continue rescuing people alive.
00:55And we are very hopeful for these people, for our families,
01:03the people who see the rescuers team,
01:06both national and international, working relentlessly.
01:10And today we receive another brigade from Vietnam
01:14and also the rescuers from Cuba.
01:17We have 30 countries already in Venezuela addressing this tragedy
01:28to rescue lives and to support our people in these very dramatic moments.
01:35And I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome the creation of this state
01:44and major grouping.
01:46And they are working in Miranda, Caracas, La Guayra.
01:50We have there a group of experts, engineers, and architects.
01:56And their role is to check if the dwellings impacted by the quakes are sound.
02:09Some have already lost their dwellings and they are being received in these transit camps.
02:20And there is a project in order to build dwellings as soon as possible.
02:27But we have projects before the end of this year in order to build new dwellings.
02:34We are meeting also with international bodies.
02:37And they are also giving options for housing solutions for the population in the immediate
02:48and medium term.
02:49And we need to address this together.
02:52We cannot postpone this task.
02:54Therefore, we need to work with these senior authorities.
03:00We have Francisco Garces, who is heading the grouping of experts.
03:06And he is in La Guayra in order to assess the soundness of the impacted dwellings.
03:15And based on the traffic light that has been created, we're going to establish if these housing units
03:23units can be inhabited, or if first we need to address if the walls are too impacted, if the piles
03:35are
03:37endangered.
03:38So we need to address the habitability.
03:41Those housing dwellings in yellow will be addressed by the Barron Nuevo project, Mission,
03:50Mission, and the service committee responsible for this.
03:55Also with this traffic light, the green color corresponds to the habitable dwellings.
04:04And red corresponds to those dwellings that have been lost and we cannot recover.
04:10And this will be done based on a planning, an urban planning.
04:16The planning in those places where the future housing units will be built.
04:25We need to make sure that these future housing units will be totally safe for the population.
04:33Therefore, I declare installed these various committees.
04:39We are making the use of the fingerprint for those who are going to be welcome at the transit
04:48camp.
04:49And those who are in public parks, who fear to go back to their homes, we're going to provide
04:57them with the appropriate logistics so they can rest while we address the consequences resulting
05:06from this natural tragedy.
05:08But what truly matters is that we don't give up.
05:15We do not give up.
05:17For example, we continue addressing the consequences of these earthquakes.
05:22We keep accompanying the people in their grief, in their anguish, and their concerns.
05:31We continue giving solutions to the people.
05:34And that's the purpose of this senior committee that will be responsible of addressing all the
05:42plans that will enable us to survive and to overcome this very critical situation.
05:49We still have a lot of things ahead of us to do, and we're going to continue working.
05:56So we thank the interim president, and we will never give up.
06:03We continue working relentlessly in favor of the people.
06:07This is spot on.
06:08We are live at this hour listening to statements of acting president Delcy Rodríguez during the
06:13installment of a major command to assess the temporary refugee camps, to offer a safe place
06:19to those who have lost their homes or those who are afraid to go back home if, in the context
06:26of the two major earthquakes that shocked the nation on June 24th, acting president Delcy Rodríguez
06:33of also gave important news regarding the continued, the ongoing rescue efforts that are still on
06:41their way with the presence of 3,000 international rescue brigades that are working along the local
06:49rescue and the rescue operators in those most affected and most impacted areas of the territory,
06:57such as in La Guayra state. Also, she was informing about the establishment as well and the deployment
07:04of experts throughout those affected places, those affected territories in the nation to also evaluate
07:11the livability of those impacted homes that have had partial collapses as well to make sure that the
07:20population can return to safe spaces and even also are planning as well the construction of residential areas
07:29as well for those who have lost everything in the context of the tragedy that the nation is living.
07:35She said authorities are without rest seeking for solutions for the population.
07:41This is all for the moment. Stay tuned with Telestor English for more.
