04:01wedding because right now she's just so busy she's working so much it means so much to me to be

04:07to give back to her after everything that she's given me my whole life my mom is seriously an angel
04:15so we've always been close I've always looked up to her growing up I felt like she was so good
04:22with glam and makeup and it just really was something that I idolized about her mom I know
04:30how much you love country so I want to make this wedding a country wedding for you oh my gosh

04:36that idea that's so fun I love the idea of the wedding having a country theme it's very much who

04:42and Alex as well okay Liv has filled me in a little bit you love country music yes my love
04:50of country music started when I was a little girl my dad worked for one of the local country music
04:55stations in Philadelphia when I was a little girl just everything about country to me it just feels
04:59like family it feels like everyone belongs and I that's what I think I like about it also I love
05:05cowboy boots my father took me to a concert and I remember my father lifting me up to Loretta Lynn
05:10and her signing my book it just really touched my heart my mama she is just like a country star
05:17if I
05:18could picture her in a perfect world she's sitting on a porch in a field with her little cowgirl boots
05:25on and a cup of coffee listening to some good country tunes how do you feel about Olivia like taking
05:33the
05:33reins on it oh pun intended no pun intended but it really worked out here that's good I love the
05:40fact
05:41that she's going to take the reins it's a little difficult letting go of control of things but I've
05:46learned over the past few years that life doesn't always hand you what you plan yes girl because
05:52honestly you know when I met Alex marriage wasn't even a thought in my head how did you and Alex
05:58meet
05:59I had been widowed for about two years and I was seeing a grief counselor and he said I think
06:04you're
06:04ready to go out and have coffee with someone I was like oh no I don't think so and he
06:08said no I think
06:09you are I said I don't know anyone he said there's apps for that I had loved and I had
06:15lost and I didn't
06:17want to experience that again my husband passed away a little over four years ago he was sick for the
06:24last three and a half years of his life I just was kind of content with learning how to live
06:29alone
06:30first of all girls I'm so sorry to be a caretaker a mom working full-time Colleen you're amazing thank
06:38you when my dad got sick my mom and I had like a pretty interesting bond form out of that
06:45we were
06:45just a team I think it showed us the grit that we have and the strength that we had to
06:51get through
06:51some really challenging days she was my rock tell me more about Alex they were quite romantic with
07:01the talking at first she's like oh he's calling me right now and she would like scurry off into her
07:07room and they would just talk for like hours I felt like I was in high school I was just
07:11gonna say that
07:12sounds like teenagers in love like going off to your room to talk on the phone we both had the
07:16same faith
07:17background and we both enjoy country music so I thought this is somebody I think I could probably
07:22have a good conversation with the first night that I went out with Alex I was really nervous I've been
07:28on a date 34 years Olivia said mom be yourself he'll love you for who you are and that almost
07:36made me cry
07:36I thought wow this is my kid giving me dating advice I just got to see this giddy cute side
07:44of her
07:44that I really haven't seen because life had always been so stressful and I like immediately just loved
07:52him for that alone to like pull this version out of my mom that she always kind of deserved and
07:57had in
07:58her how did he do it how did he propose so Alex proposed to me by writing a song and
08:04it's just
08:05absolutely beautiful and the fact that he wrote it for me was just nobody's ever done anything like
08:10that so it was really kind of cool it really was how about you Colleen are you musical or do

08:16sing oh no but Olivia has a wonderful voice and she used to sing a lot in high school and
08:22she just
08:23belted out the Ave Maria like nobody but you said used to sing do you not do you not see
08:28anymore I
08:29definitely don't sing the way that I used to every time I hear her I just it brings me to

08:35wish I could hear her more because it really touches my heart can you describe like when you
08:40think country wedding what do you kind of see don't like anything too hokey like you know bail of hay

08:47pitchfork and kind of things like that no pigs no cows can you put the pig back away yeah I

08:55it to have a flair of elegance and classiness um you know kind of like the feel of a Hallmark

09:01you know we're in love we're getting married and we have the happily ever after okay country wedding
09:07yeah we've got an overall theme I think it's more complicated than it sounds initially I'm feeling
09:14really concerned and worried the ideas they're not coming to me as creatively as I would like them to
09:21right now and I really do hope that I can tie it all together yeah we will figure it out
09:38so this is the venue that I picked for my mom oh it's great right oh what charm first glance
09:47there's
09:47nothing immediately country about the venue it feels with that rustic look like we can kind of make it
09:54that way maybe so that's what I'm hoping for with this it feels like this could be pretty barn feeling
