00:00GTA 6 is already causing enough disruption in the video game industry, with developers
00:05and publishers scrambling to avoid the biggest game of the year.
00:09But it's also apparently disrupting the automotive industry, because why the heck not?
00:15In an online post, Burger Motorsports has announced a company-wide closure this November,
00:21all because of Rockstar's massive release.
00:24And yes, this is real.
00:26The announcement reads that Burger Motorsports will be observing a temporary company-wide
00:31operational pause on Thursday, November 19th, 2026.
00:36It continues,
00:37After reviewing multiple employee scheduling conflicts, management has determined that normal
00:42business operations may be impacted due to the release of Grand Theft Auto 6.
00:47Several team members have already notified management that they will be unavailable, unreachable
00:52and or in Vice City for the duration of the day.
00:55That announcement from Burger Motorsports ends by calling the launch of GTA 6 a cultural
01:01event.
01:02It's not surprising that people are taking this launch so seriously.
01:06I mean, we have been waiting over a decade for it.
01:10Are you going to be taking the day off work to play?
