00:00GTA 6 has been delayed, again, and is now set to release on November 19th, 2026.

00:06But let's be fair, following up GTA 5 is no easy task.

00:10Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said,

00:12GTA 5 has been the standard-bearer, not just for the company, but for the industry,

00:18for three console generations now.

00:20So, one factor behind the delay may be Rockstar's effort to ensure that

00:25GTA 6 lives up to the immense hype and maintains the studio's reputation for excellence,

00:31which is a hugely challenging task given that GTA 5 sets such a high standard.

00:37Strauss Zelnick says,

00:39We're all pushing hard to seek perfection.

00:41And that's not just words.

00:42I mean, the Metacritic scores of Rockstar releases have been over 95.

00:47In their statement, Rockstar explained,

00:49We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait,

00:54but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with a level of polish you have come to expect

00:59and deserve.
