00:00Many wars have been fought in history
00:05a lot of blood was shed
00:08But that mark of 61 Hijri is not for any throne or platform.
00:15But he fought for principles, rights and the dues of Islam.
00:22On one side was the greatest ruling power of the time.
00:25Thousands of soldiers and flowing water
00:32And on the other side Sirkh Bahtar Jaan Nisar
00:36The scorching desert and three days of thirst
00:39This is a story of patience and sacrifice.
00:43And of this glorious message which has been spread in every era
00:46Illuminating the difference between truth and falsehood
00:49This is the story of Karbala
00:55Did everything happen in just one day?
00:57Or its foundation was laid many years ago
01:01Since Karbala was not a sudden incident
01:04These are political decisions that will be made over many years.
01:07Changing circumstances, mutual differences
01:10And it was the last episode in a long chain of events unfolding in quick succession.
01:19A journey that begins in Medina
01:22passes through Kufa
01:24And finally it ends on the scorching heat of Karbala.
01:29So let us turn the wheel of time back approximately fourteen hundred years.
01:35The year fifty-fifth Hijri, the day when Maula Ali took over the caliphate after the martyrdom of Hazrat Usman.
01:45In Syria, Hazrat Muawiya, who had been the governor for many years, refused to be the bailiff of Maula Ali Ali Salam.
01:52Gave
01:52His demand was, first bring the killers of Hazrat Usman (RA) to the court of justice, then the doctor
02:00There will be talk
02:01And from here, a rift developed among the Muslims, which later led to the Karbala.
02:13The battles of Jamal and Siffin took place between Hazrat Muawiya (may Allah be pleased with him) and Maula Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).
02:22In this regard, the scholars believe that at that time Hazrat Muawiya (may Allah be pleased with him) was in error.
02:28And do not mistake Sinte Maulif, she is not Sunni
02:32He should not have fought with Maula Ali (as)
02:38During this period, the Khawarij were born, who were previously with Maula Ali (peace be upon him).
02:43Then they turned against him.
02:45And then one morning in the year 10 Hijri, Ramadan
02:50While praying in the mosque, he was struck by a poisoned sword.
02:55Maula Ali (as) Salam was martyred.
03:00After the martyrdom of Maula Ali, the people of Kufa killed his eldest son
03:04The allegiance of Imam Hasan (peace be upon him)
03:07Imam Hasan, about whom the Prophet (peace be upon him) said
03:13This is my son Sardar
03:15And through him Allah will bring about reconciliation between the two great leaders of the Muslims.
03:20On the other hand, Hazrat Muawiya (may Allah be pleased with him) and others had already maintained their rule and power in Syria.
03:27And they did not pledge allegiance to Imam Hasan (peace be upon him)
03:30Military preparations were made between the two
03:33But there were talks before the war.
03:37Then Sulh Hasanui
03:38The condition was that Hazrat Muawiya (may Allah be pleased with him) would rule according to Islamic principles.
03:44And I will not nominate anyone as my caliph.
03:48Rather, this decision will be left to the Muslims.
03:51The era of Azrat Muawiya Radiallahu Anho was strong from the administrative point of view.
03:56Sultanate first, Futuhat happened
04:01But one decision he made in the last years of his life
04:05That decision proved to be a turning point.
04:08He appointed his son Yazid as his successor.
04:14And this is where the real story begins.
04:18Yazid ibn Muawiyah
04:20This name has been written in history with many different dates.
04:24Some called him a ruler, some called him a tyrant.
04:28Some have misunderstood
04:32But one thing is common in historical traditions
04:35Yazid was not that person
04:37which can be considered relevant for the Islamic Caliphate
04:41according to the chronicles
04:42preferred to eat
04:44Passivity of Islamic laws
04:46It was not in his preference
04:48and he inherited the power
04:51Not by merit and ability
04:53Year 7 Hijri
04:55Hadrat Muawiya Radiyallahu Anho passed away
04:59Yazid sits on the throne
05:01And his first priority was
05:03A message should be sent to the governor of Medina
05:05Take Bait from Husain ibn Ali
05:08And now that moment had come
05:11When Imam Hussain (AS) had to decide
05:14It was not possible for them to pledge allegiance to Yazid.
05:17Why? He said it himself.
05:20We are the prophetic Ahl Bayt
05:22And Yazid is a perfidious man, a drunkard, and a bloodsucker.
05:26A man like me can't talk like that.
05:30And then letters started coming from Kufa.
05:33Thousands of letters from the people of Kufa
05:37Or Ibn Rasool should come, we are with you
05:41We swear by you
05:42We have no Imam without you.
05:45So many letters came that Imam Hussain (AS) sent his cousin brother Muslim bin Aqeel to Kufa to assess the situation.
05:53can take a look
05:55Muslim bin Aqeel reached Kufa and saw that thousands of people were waiting for Imam Hussain.
06:05He wrote back to Imam Hussain, saying, "Come, the circumstances are favorable."
06:11And Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) left Medina with his Ahl Khana and his companions but on the way
06:19News started coming that was heart-wrenching.
06:24Yazid's new governor in Kufa, Abdullah ibn Ziyad, immediately seized control of the city.
06:33Muslim bin Aqeel was captured and martyred.
06:38And those thousand people of Kufa who had written letters and had pledged allegiance were in letters.
06:44hid away
06:45Now Imam Hussain (AS) had a place in front of him from where return was also possible.
06:50Many people said, let's go back, the people of Kufa betrayed us.
06:55But Imam Hussein (AS) said
06:57Death is not a path and martyrdom is devotion in the path of Allah.
07:03Two Murram Al-Haram in the year 61 Hijri
07:08The caravan of Imam Hussein (AS) stopped at a point
07:13It was asked which place is this, someone replied
07:17Karbala
07:19It is narrated that on hearing this name, Imam Hussein (AS)'s eyes filled with tears.
07:23He said
07:25This is the land that my grandfather Sallallahu Alai Wasallam had mentioned.
07:31This is the place where our blood will flow and this is where our fields will be burned.
07:38Yazid's army was surrounded from all sides.
07:40Darya Farad was in front
07:42But not even a drop of water was allowed to reach Imam Hussain's tents.
07:46There were children, women and elderly people in those camps.
07:50But no one left Imam Hussain.
07:54On the night before Ashura, Imam Husayn said to his companions
07:58These people only want me, you all are free, go away into the darkness of the night
08:05But every friend gave the same answer.
08:07O Ibn Rasulillah, we will not leave you till our last breath.
08:11Only a few soldiers, in front of a force of thousands, but no one took a step back.
08:19Tenth of Muharram, Day of Ashura
08:22After the Fajr prayer, Imam Husain came to the battlefield and said to the enemy
08:28O people, recognize me, I am Hussain Ibn Ali
08:34My mother is Fatima (peace be upon her), my grandfather is Rasulullah (peace be upon him).
08:41Do you not fear Allah, but no one's heart was affected
08:46Then one by one the companions of Imam Hussain were martyred.
08:51Hazrat Ali Akbar, Hazrat Qasim, Hazrat Abbas, all sacrificed their lives in the path of truth.
08:58Then came that moment on which history still sheds tears.
09:02Hazrat Ali of Chha Ma's python was thirsty.
09:06Imam Husain carried him in his lap and came to the battlefield and said
09:09If you don't have mercy on me, then have mercy on that innocent child.
09:14give him a sip of water
09:16But an arrow came in response.
09:18Which Hazrat Ali got entangled in the small neck of the python
09:22Imam Hussein was now alone.
09:24Wounded, thirsty, but with proven steps
09:28And then ten Mahrams, year 61 Hijri
09:32Imam Husayn in prostration at the time of Asr
09:36attained the lofty status of martyrdom
09:41The camps were burned, and the Ahl Bayt were taken prisoner.
09:45heads were nailed to the spears
09:48And the caravan was taken first to Kufa and then to Damascus.
09:54But after Karbala, such a father started
09:57Which Yazid never even appreciated
10:00Bibi Zainaf was imprisoned, but her voice was free
10:05In the court of Yazid, he challenged and said
10:08O Yazid, do you think you have destroyed us?
10:12No, you will never be able to erase our memory.
10:16And the date is lost that this is what happened
10:20Even after fourteen hundred years, Muharram comes today.
10:23So the message of Karbala resonates throughout the world.
10:27Karbala is not just a historical event
10:30Rather, I have a question for people of every era.
10:33When the flame is in power
10:35When speaking the truth costs life
10:38So who will you support?
10:40Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) sacrificed his life with his blood
10:43answered this question
10:44The right can be suppressed with the sword
10:47Cannot be erased
10:49And this is the reason why Karbala is still alive today.
10:53and will live forever
