00:00:07this week the girls competed in a fantasy hair show bringing three distinct hairstyles to the
00:00:12main stage in addition to a runway outfit made entirely of hair what you didn't see
00:00:21is that after their critiques on stage raja and manila went through to the gold bar
00:00:26while jara shangela and alexis went to the interior illusions lounge where alexis was stinging after
00:00:33some strong criticism my evening got for that red carpet it was fierce my hair was thickening and
00:00:40they said my dress was doing nothing to my body what i don't understand is why you do the modern
00:00:45red carpet and it looks like you're wearing the red carpet i think certain things you wear makes
00:00:49your body look bigger and malproportious michelle said um she would never wear my dress for a red
00:00:55carpet but it doesn't fit you mama my gown was sickening and it fit me lovely and my hair was
00:01:03sickening i did concentrate on the hair because i thought it was a hair challenge too but well i mean
00:01:08if it wasn't a hair challenge i wouldn't be sitting up here looking like avatar times 20
00:01:13in the gold bar raja and manila were also talking about shangela's fantasy alien look
00:01:19i know looking at those cones that those are about a nickel at the craft store i would have
00:01:26completely covered all those cones with hair and really done something really spectacular with it
00:01:30but it just to me looked like a bunch of styrofoam cones that needed hair on it i don't i
00:01:34feel like
00:01:35it wasn't enough like it looked like spray painted hair it looked kind of crafty but you know who am
00:01:41i
00:01:41i'm not the judge yeah you know what for um alexis's costume although i think she found her own costume
00:01:47to be really kind of fashiony and interesting i feel like i've seen it before it kind of lacked a
00:01:53little bit of refinement refinement you know what i mean good word it really showcased the most with
00:01:59her classic look i didn't see 40s look with that yeah they were actually kind of right when they said
00:02:04like late 80s early 90s well anytime you wear a freakum dress with rhinestones on it it's gonna look a
00:02:09little bit late 80s or 90s i think that sometimes that she misses like a certain thing about style
00:02:16like well no i'll i'll disagree with you on that because i think that she does have a particular
00:02:21style and it's a style from like the part of the country where she does drag i see you know
00:02:26what i
00:02:26mean right right right is it because she doesn't live in a fashion capital maybe maybe do you see
00:02:32rider skirt the the yes she used fabric
00:02:39that's why the hair looks like a ruffle no she said she used the lace from the wig

00:02:52no she told the judges that she took the lace from the wig cut it put them all together
00:02:58and made one big piece so the pieces that look like paper mache are also hair yeah like these
00:03:05little lace pieces these are all done with hair oh i'm pretty pleased with it it's fabric are you
00:03:11sure can i go through that to her well i'm sure she won't come in here in a minute i

00:03:16look at it and i want you to tell me to my face that is not lace from a wig
00:03:21that is tulle fabric
00:03:23that's a tulle fabric everybody everybody saw it of course you have a wonderful shape of course
00:03:29it's tulle no when she comes in here i'll say this girl is that fabric tulle or and she's going
00:03:35to
00:03:35tell you and she's going to tell me that it is pieces of wig that were cut out of the
00:03:41lace
00:03:42no i'll ask her and she'll lie right here to my face

00:04:02challenge yes and we're gonna see what she says to me rogers oh look amazing where is the fantasy hair
00:04:16that's three balls with a little bit of glitter that was put on top of that two wigs
00:04:24and spray and tease it that's ain't no fantasy that is called two wigs and hairspray
00:04:31where is the hair i mean you build that thing you went through it building all that shit
00:04:37you have a concoction up on top of your head that is true if it was that easy i would
00:04:42have put all
00:04:42my s4 in my dress and i would have come out with a bob and just call it today because
00:04:48i know i would
00:04:48be fierce well girl all you gotta say is that you're a rocker and you're edgy and they might buy

00:05:22it's very donna summer diana ross but knowing the judges they'll compare it to yours and to manila's
00:05:28and go oh well theirs was more creative so i changed mine i changed it to the spanish and i
00:05:34love that i love and for michelle to say that i don't think flamenco is an era i wasn't doing
00:05:41flamenco as an era as far as the classic look goes i don't know if flamenco is a classic look
00:05:46i mean
00:05:46when i think classic look i don't think oh flamenco dancer it's historic spanish look is what i was
00:05:52doing and flamenco is a part of that but some people just don't know but that's what everything is
00:05:57i'm trying to be as obvious as i can because i know how the judges think well no i don't
00:06:02that's
00:06:03probably why i'm still going to be at the bottom because i don't know how the judges think
00:06:08in the gold bar raj was also talking about chandler's flamenco look first of all a flamenco
00:06:13dancer would never have beads or any kind of embellishment of a sword on their dress because
00:06:17there's so much flowing and flicking i'm just saying it as a person who has been to spain first of
00:06:21all and who studied that kind of stuff i try to know every genre of costume and look you know
00:06:26i may not know all of them but i don't know i think she misses it i mean when you
00:06:31looked at her
00:06:31the red and the black and the fan and the flower in her hair it did give it right but
00:06:37i mean i don't
00:06:38know if she borrowed that dress from someone or if it used to belong to someone else because it didn't
00:06:42fit her at all no it was too long too baggy and you know what if all else fails go
00:06:48smaller go a little
00:06:49bit like cute and tiny rather than something that you're swimming in she looked like a little kid like
00:06:54walking around in like a really really fancy snuggie i think she might be in the bottom yeah

00:08:01worked so hard to get where they are celebrating us you know what i mean you know there's wayne brady

00:08:11angeles so kudos to you as a performer i've never seen wayne brady at one of my shows i want

00:09:47with but you know what i mean for the both of us we do have some experience with working with
00:09:51hair
00:09:51we fuck with our wigs all the time you know and you know for others like a person like shangela
00:09:55who
00:09:56has no experience in it it might have been really difficult i never went to beauty school yeah everything
00:10:00i know from hair is like trial and error trial and error yeah or tips that i picked up from
00:10:04queens
00:10:04like oh how'd you do that i would never consider myself like you know the hair master i'm a master
00:10:10baiter i'm not a hair master i'm a stair master oh mary sauce i'm hot in this i mean hair

00:10:17your body like this yeah i feel like a bear i spent my whole life trying to remove hair and

00:10:22covered in it right now it's disgusting i know like it's all in my lip gloss i made up some

00:10:27there about how this wig is so well engineered that it's all like just kind of balanced and perfect
00:10:32did it ever feel like something might fall or slip nope it's pretty engineered i mean there's a device
00:10:38in here that i made out of buckram and some hot glue and wire i really wanted it to feel
00:10:44fluid and
00:10:45moving and as if as if you know as if it was moving and a photograph was taken and it
00:10:50all kind of stood
00:10:50still i wanted it to feel like wind and space and candy and bubbles and you know this is what
00:10:56it turned
00:10:56out to be i mean i could probably run from the cops in this you might have to but actually
00:11:02i feel like
00:11:03i have a giant hair tumor on one side and i keep like wanting to lean this way story of
00:11:07my life i'm
00:11:07always putting wigs on my head and realizing fuck i'm gonna have to hold my head a little bit to
00:11:12the
00:11:12left you know i'm exhausted i am like i'm it's getting so close is what i'm thinking so close you
00:11:20just
00:11:20want it to like be there right you know what i mean yeah i'm just gonna be sad when i

00:11:45manila and rajah went through to join the other girls in the lounge
00:11:49doesn't even have tape i feel like i need to tape this thing to my chest because it's ready to

00:11:53and like my little boobs are gonna show up what's going on you guys nothing

00:12:10did she use tool fabric in her costume oh something's like cut into my side and it's

00:12:34tool fabric in that dress she knows the difference between hair and tool fabric that's not all hair
00:12:41well and y'all turned it though i was like wow well for a short amount of time everybody turned

00:12:48it looked amazing like i don't understand how yours goes like this like yours i saw you brushing like
00:12:55for hours to make it that poofy yours is like do do do do i still don't understand how you

00:13:01and made it like flare out and it just like fabric girl i made fabric out of hair you you
00:13:07made fabric
00:13:08out of hair yeah it was like when i was cutting it i had just like little pieces left so
00:13:14i fuzzed it all
00:13:15my hand and i laid it out onto onto like a thin piece of see this this little gauze oh
00:13:20that tool
00:13:21mm-hmm that tool and that's what i laid it on and then i spray adhesive the fuck out of
00:13:24it until it
00:13:25turns solid yeah and i thank you
00:13:30finally some truth out of rajah miss rajah admits that she did use fabric on her dress boo i am
00:13:38not the
00:13:38fool let no one ever think that i don't see every trick in the book that these girls have coming
00:13:44now can i stop them no but i'm aware i don't know how i came up with it i had
00:13:49all the extra hair and
00:13:51i was like looking on the ground i'm like i'm like how do i use that i'm running out of
00:13:54colors like i
00:13:54really want to use it and i was like well let's try this out and it worked you know there
00:13:58you go
00:13:58it totally worked no it totally did and it sits out like like a tutu like a tutu like a
00:14:03tutu and
00:14:04shit come on miss tutu tool and fabric and felt sickening and hair
00:14:11what the hell was that i don't know what the fuck she's talking about i'm just not going to be
00:14:16bothered by any sort of drama that shangela has to throw my way and i'm just ready to move on
00:14:26with toolgate resolved the queens moved on to talk about some family matters i feel really like
00:14:31blessed that my mother has been really kind of supportive in my dragon she was kind of new she
00:14:36was new i like to dress up as like a little kid actually like most of my costumes when i
00:14:41started
00:14:41was like from my mom's closet my mom doesn't throw anything away so she had all this stuff from the
00:14:4460s
00:14:45and the 70s and all these like weird like costumes and stuff like that so well how did you explain
00:14:49you
00:14:50taking all of her clothes um i didn't and she'd go and she's like oh i took my dress back
00:14:54by the way
00:14:56but i mean i don't know it's kind of nice well what were you doing with them i'm confused
00:14:59i was putting them on the house and you kept them whatever she wasn't wearing them anyway
00:15:06any of you guys like how's how's your mom with my mom um never seen me in life but she
00:15:12watched my
00:15:12video and my photo yeah she's supportive she called me jasmine jasmine why did she call you jasmine

00:15:29hilarious how about you alexis my mom my mom have never seen me in in a show but she know

00:15:35and she doesn't care she goes like if you are not using drugs or you're not going in like to

00:15:43something like that i support it but she always go like oh but because of this drag you're so lonely
00:15:49you don't have a partner like she always had this mentality and i don't feel the same way so i

00:16:01my parents are coming around i think they've always known that i was a slept like flamboyant kid but
00:16:06it's it's part of our dialogue now to talk about drag you know i'm a grown-up now so it's

00:16:11to go away it's certainly not a phase of me being gay it's just an extension of the creative kid

00:16:15always been they have no desire to come to a club they really don't want to be around that amount

00:16:19alcohol or like tomfoolery and craziness and buffoon crazy all that nonsense because they can't get
00:16:24great they just don't they're older parents and you know they they they're church going folks you
00:16:29know they have no desire but all they want to do is see me happy and they want to see
00:16:32me like
00:16:33fulfilling whatever it is that i want out of my life that's well you know honestly like the thing
00:16:37is like my mom and i kind of have an open dialogue about it but i keep it very quiet
00:16:42around my dad
00:16:43is it an asian thing oh yeah around my dad as well is it an asian thing you think well
00:16:47my dad's white
00:16:48so oh well never mind my mom's always been supportive of me being a drag but like for other members
00:16:54of
00:16:54my family it's been a huge deal you know i've disgraced the family name by being a drag entertainer and
00:16:59it's a disgrace why am i doing this like people who haven't even talked to me in years
00:17:03felt personally offended and even i think it's more about me being out as a gay person
00:17:08than really performing in drag that's a shame it's it's shame it's been a hard year for me you
00:17:14know my family found out i was doing drag through me being on the show and that created a lot
00:17:20of
00:17:20questions my grandma's in paris texas so they were like oh i heard dj's living in los angeles as a
00:17:25woman he's going to the grocery store with wigs on someone printed out like pictures from my
00:17:30website and took them to my grandma was like look he's a woman he's now you know got breast implants
00:17:34and it was just hard because i wasn't there so you know you can say oh grandma i'm not doing
00:17:39that
00:17:39it's not what's going on but they can't see you so they're like okay are you sure when i finally
00:17:45was
00:17:45able to tell my grandma and my family about me performing in drag and explain exactly what that
00:17:49is the first thing she said was well do you wear pantyhose are you in your stockings if your family
00:17:56chooses love of everything else you can always come to a medium on it and that's definitely what
00:18:01we came to but it was not easy and that's only been the first year who knows what's going to
00:18:05happen
00:18:05you know going forward but you just have to believe in yourself and what you're doing you can't
00:18:09please other people it was important for me to be able to share with my grandma and for her to
00:18:14be
00:18:14so accepting of it and accepting of me just shows that love is the biggest thing in her heart
00:18:21and that tells me that love should always be the biggest thing in my heart
00:18:29the girls went back down to the main stage to find out their fate bye lunch
00:18:37jarrah won the fantasy hair show challenge
00:18:42while alexis and shangela fell into the bottom two and had to lip sync for their lives
00:18:49alexis got to stay while shangela sashay away
00:18:58i'm definitely a fighter when you're in competition you have to be a little cutthroat but i can go back
00:19:04to my family now and say i'm really proud of who i am and the life that i'm leading hallelujah
00:19:12two years in a row i'm going home to one of my sisters and you can't be mad about that
00:19:16now also
00:19:17two years in a row i'm going home with no hair on i don't know how we worked that out
00:19:23changela's gone and never have i felt such an awesome sigh of relief i feel so clean and happy
00:19:28and free honestly it felt like i took a really great fucking dump but that wasn't the end of it
00:19:35in a
00:19:35surprise twist that had the queens gagging which of the eliminated queens
00:19:44deserve to return to this competition next week
00:19:52if they bring back shangela one more time i'm gonna have to pack my
00:19:55shit up and walk out because i cannot i cannot if they pull her out in a box again i'm
00:20:00gonna burn the box
00:20:03another doll down and quite possibly still four more to go before rupaul's drag race as the
00:20:10winner this week the girls put straight jocks into frocks and created a cheer routine all about safe
00:20:19sex what you didn't see is that after their critiques on stage the queens and the jocks
00:20:24retire to the interior illusions lounge where fuchsia luzon thank the girls for an extraordinary
00:20:34experience guys uh thank you for inviting us into your world and making us feel more than welcome
00:20:39even though we didn't necessarily know how to do it at first and although it's coming to a close
00:20:44sometime soon we all wish you the best of luck with not just this competition but in the rest of

00:22:31like stand over here his whole face looked like it was about to crack and cry and i was like

00:22:40his back all i gotta say is that when i looked over at chris walking in heels i thought that

00:22:49okay it's all right okay and on the runway to be honest with you i had to like slow down

00:22:58same time i started to show off what i do and you know i was a little bit covered up

00:23:02want to be all over sexy i wanted i wanted to feel like together but it's just so hard you

00:23:07carmen you have the same problem too it's because we're such opposites yeah yeah yeah i mean i don't

00:23:48want to say though like if you think about it the creativity they have oh yeah to make us like
